Hub Cap scam
This outfit posted an Ebay listing with deceptive photos enticing a purchase of four hub caps, three of which were broken beyond use. Upon notification they advised that they knew three caps were broken and would refund the transaction if I would return all four caps. The scam is that they know most folks making these purchases are looking for one cap and keeping the rest for future lost caps. With the amount of the transaction, it is too much trouble to return the caps and also take an additional loss on the shipping fee if they refuse the refund, which I saw on Ebay review that they tend to do. This was a very carefully thought out scheme to defraud Ebay as well as a customer acting in good faith, over a very small amount of profit. This was done for the satisfaction of deception rather than the profit. It is the worst kind of corruption.
