I've been using cellar rats for about 6 months now. Always great products with a luxury feel to the packaging. I look forward to my delivery each month to see what different wines I can taste. Wo... See more

Pathetic wine
Pathetic wine, aweful customer service.
Not sure they meet regulations by not allowing to cancel subscription online.
Avoid like plague.
What a shame
What a shame! I thought this was a good idea. I haven't had a bad experience with the customer service, but the wine quality has been awful. Many leaking bottles and others, especially the reds, fermenting merrily away in their little bottles so quite undrinkable. I've written to them three times to point this out and twice they've written back to say how exceptional this is...other reviews here would suggest it's a generic problem though.
Don’t use
Waited absoutly ages for them to dispatch my first order. Nothing came.
Emailed them to cancel and refund me ( which there did tbf after a while ). Don’t waste your time ordering from these, there clearly have no expertise in the area there trading in and customer service is non-existent.
AVOID
I was disappointed with the trial box wines, delivery, and updates on your order. Your box will be delivered approximately two weeks after payment. With no communication at all.
When decided to cancel or pause this is what happened:
There is no way to manage your payments;
No way to change or delete your account;
No option to cancel your subscription.
YOU NEED TO CALL THEM
Every attempt to call customer service has been unsuccessful as it seems to be unavailable.
Loved all but 1 bottle which was…
Loved all but 1 bottle which was inedible.
Scammers
Those are scammers. They act against current digital market laws in UK. It is a matter of time they will be sued. If you got caught on their subscription, just contact bank and ask to stop any transactions from them, their subscriptions are illegal. It is garage-based "entrepreneur" who is buying spoiled wine and empty bottles from China and then just playing the silent game with non-existent support center.
Pi$$ take - avoid!
Pi$$ take - cannot cancel. This company is a scam!
Just like most of the other reviews - got free box of crappy wine (via 3-mobile deal), 1 bottle smashed and the white wine looked off (not good quality), been trying to call to cancel the subscription for over 3 hrs waiting (on-hold) over 2 days =- this company is not that busy! DO NOT WANT TO STAY SUBSCRIBED. Emailed twice and no reply, of course.
Wine poorly stored and off
Wine decanted into little bottles. 2 of the 6 I received were really oxidised and I put them down the drain. On that basis tried to cancel and it was such a farce forcing me to call a customer service line that was frequently engaged.
Spoiled wine
Avoid at all costs! Got a sample box from Vodafone still paid like 9£ for delivery. 2 out of 6 small wine bottles were spoiled and had sour gassy taste. Because I tried wine after couple weeks of delivery my second month got through. I send them an email saying I want to cancel my subscription and can they advise what's my options on spoiled wine I got from them. Didn't hear anything back just the cancellation email. Got a new order and 3 out of 6 wines were spoiled again! Avoid worst subscription ever. How they even holding still.
piece of sh.......
Hi, i am struggling to cancel my subscription. there is no way to cancel by site or email, it is only by calling and i have called so far 165 times and they keep saying "i am sorry the line is busy please try again later".
it has been 3 months of suffering.
Had a voucher for a free box of wine
Had a voucher for a free box of wine, just had to pay for postage. The wine bottles are tiny and did not taste great (could be just personal preference). It’s been a nightmare to cancel my subscription, you can only do this via telephone. First time I tried, someone answered and said he has cancelled my subscription (didn’t even bother trying to get me to stay). However they keep trying to take £34.99 for the subscription costs! So I’m currently on hold now (8 minutes so far) waiting to speak to someone, and make sure they actually cancel it this time!!
Next to impossible to cancel
Next to impossible to cancel. Had to go through the bank to prevent future payments. Wine is sub standard but customer service is worse.
Terrible customer service and spoiled…
Terrible customer service and spoiled wines. Avoid at all cost! Order took 2 months to arrive and deducted full payment although I signed up via a free trial (only pay postage). Email took ages to reply, although they did refund me. Two wines from the first box leaked, was very gassy when I opened them and smelled terrible, like it’s off. Another bottle of white wine looked cloudy which I didn’t dare drink. Same thing happened with second box, two bottles leaked and were off. I have read one of the reviewers got ill from drinking their wine. This is extremely concerning as a health and safety issue.
all good
Overall, it was a good experience. When I received an attractive promotional offer through Vodafone, my partner and I were intrigued, even though we rarely drink alcohol. My partner, who is obsessed with cool packaging, was especially excited about the idea of cute little bottles with rats on them (yes, we've bought wine before just because of the label). After placing the order, we checked the Trustpilot reviews and were terrified, expecting the worst—but everything turned out fine.
We waited about two weeks for the package to arrive. We enjoyed the wines, though I’m not much of a wine expert. To my partner's disappointment, all the labels had the same rat design, and the bottles looked like cough syrup bottles ;) Due to the high subscription price and the fact that we're drinking less and less, I decided to cancel the subscription. Unfortunately, you can't do that online, and since I hate making phone calls for these kinds of things, I opted to send an email requesting cancellation.
Today, I saw on my account that the subscription has been successfully canceled. No issues on my end. Thanks for the wine and good luck, Rats!
Avoid at all Costs
After getting a free trial box via Vodafone I was excited to see what the wines would be like. They were average and my wife also set up a trial box. As we didn’t need both I went to cancel mine. Oh man I wish I hadn’t signed up. After being on the phone for 90 mins they finally answered. A few grumpy lady answered and when I said I wanted to cancel she didn’t try and keep me just said “oh okay bye then and you will receive a cancel email”. Well no email confirm cancellation but at least my account was cancelled. AVOID SIGNING UP AND JUST BUT WINE FROM THE SHOP!!!!
Charged me but sent no delivery and…
Charged me but sent no delivery and have had no response to any of my emails, really bad experience, do not sign up to this.
Avoid signing up
I agreed to try out the free wine sample through the myvodafone subscription. The wine was delayed by two months and when it arrived, a couple of the bottles were leaking.
The website subscription the explained that you could cancel 24hours later which I then tried to do. You have to call them (no email option of form on website). After numerous attempts I got through and thankfully was told quickly it would be cancelled. Then today once they delivered my late free samples, they have tried to take £34.99 from my account via debit card payment. Thankfully my bank did not authorise it. Again can’t get through so I have emailed them. Await response as subscription is still showing as active 🤬
Do not recommend
Do not recommend. The bottles arrived smashed and when I asked for a refund they just sent MORE smashed bottles. They’ve also continued to charge me despite my cancellation of the membership. Customer service is appalling.
Never received initial free box and no…
Never received initial free box and no refund.
Could not cancel online, over phone or over social media. Had to block the payment via my bank.
AVOID
Wish I could give 0 stars
Wish I could give 0 stars. Tried calling to cancel for a combined time of 1 hour 21 minutes to no answer, ended up spam emailing to try cancel, which eventually they did, however no reply, no confirmation email, nothing. Mediocre wines for a high price along with what feels like scamming people into continuing subscriptions.
