I have paid and been waiting for my…

I have paid and been waiting for my purchase to arrive for one month. From Madrid to Lisbon. All my attempts at getting information from the site have been unsuccessful. Nothing concrete has been said or done, the seller keeps telling me it’s on its way and meanwhile it still has not arrived. 23 May is the “ frozen” date of delivery.

Requesting my money back has not been resolved. I’ve had other dealings with this site and all went well but this time I am highly disappointed.

Fine customer experience

The app works fine, the provider is legit! Everything was crystal clear. I bought a genuine product, every conditions were as mentioned. The shipping was super fast, I was able to track it the whole time.

False advertising

Bought something from a “UK seller”, specifically to avoid import duties.
Item was shipped from Thailand. Additional customs duties have been incurred as a result.
Catawiki support has merely apologized for the “confusion” and said they are not involved in determining shipping or customs duties. Totally understand that, but there is no “confusion” at all, only false advertising which they are completely ignoring.
Won’t use this site again as buyers aren’t protected.

Total support blackout & Unfair claim rejection - Order 46721153

am forced to write a public review because Catawiki's customer support is completely unreachable: the mobile app chat is glitching, the help center links return 404 "Page not found" errors, and generic support emails reject incoming messages.
I am formally contesting the insurance rejection by XCover regarding Order n° 46721153 (Lot 103955277, DPD tracking 05222388700197). The insurer claims "insufficient packaging," which is completely false and unfair.
My unboxing photos prove that:
1. Every single porcelain item was wrapped in multiple layers of professional bubble wrap and deeply embedded in green foam packing peanuts, strictly following official guidelines.
2. The visible textiles were only used as peripheral void-fillers to stabilize the package and prevent movement, not as primary shock absorbers.
3. The porcelain service was shattered into sharp, clean pieces, proving extreme structural impact or heavy crushing while under DPD’s logistical custody.
As a seller, I fulfilled my obligations perfectly. I demand that Catawiki immediately suspends the automatic refund to the buyer and that a human claims manager contacts me directly to manually review this case and the photographic evidence.
