Pushy report request and no real buyer – feels like a scam
I was contacted by a supposed buyer who quickly pushed me to buy a paid ‘vehicle report’ from Carzscope before they would even come and view my car. This matches the well-documented vehicle history report scam, where fake buyers direct sellers to obscure report websites, take their payment and data, and then disappear with no intention of actually buying the car. Genuine buyers normally arrange and pay for their own checks using established UK services, so being pressured to use a specific, unfamiliar site is a major red flag. Based on this experience and the wider warnings about these tactics, this setup feels deceptive and risky, and I would strongly advise other private sellers to avoid using Carzscope or entering any card details on their site.
