Accurate & Fast

I submitted for a report and got a very detailed history on a car I was looking at. I got it within 24 hours - this site is not a scam like another user suggested, I would recommend them if you are looking at a Japanese import.

November 2025 Vehicle check

Super quick - report provide within 24 hours of ordering. Priced reasonably (£17.xx at the time of ordering). Information provided has reassured me about the vehicles' history. I picked Car VX as it was specifically mentioned in an RAC article. Only after receiving the report was I invited to pay additional to have a translated version of the auction sheet (for £2.46 as at the days exchange rate).

I’ll be honest

I’ll be honest — I used this service with some hesitation.
There are just too many scammy sites in Europe that promise vehicle info but give you nothing real. I was looking for details about a car imported from Japan, and couldn’t find this info anywhere else. This site didn’t look super convincing at first, and the fact that they said it might take a full day to get the report made me doubt even more.

But I had no other options, so I gave it a try. Paid around $25 via PayPal.

And you know what? The report actually came through — exactly as shown in their samples. It included official inspection records, odometer history, original registration, and best of all — the full auction sheet with all the ratings and condition grades.

That sheet was super detailed, just like in the examples on their website.

One tip: after you get the report, throw the whole thing into ChatGPT and ask it to fully explain and translate everything. You’ll get a clear breakdown of every line, what the car’s history means, and even advice on whether to buy it or not.

The site does offer translation for 500 yen, but honestly — don’t bother with that. GPT did it way better.

In the end, I was pleasantly surprised with the information and especially the auction photos. It really helped me understand the condition and history of a left-hand drive Mercedes from Japan that was being sold in Germany.

Highly recommend it if you want real info before buying.

Good Car Info

The UK DVLA refused to give me a registration for a Japanese import as they claimed I had not provided enough evidence of the car's date of manufacture (despite it being on the purchase receipt and export certificate). The report generated by CarVX is very good, it details the basic car information which should satisfy the DVLA. What surprised me was the level of detail the report goes to, odometer readings by date as well as all the data for all auctions the car has been through, including all auctions condition reports and pictures. Very impressed for less than £20.
