The shoes I ordered, Stephanie Sneakers, were described as orthopedic, life changing, so comfortable, regular price# $249.95 for $99.95 with free shipping anywhere in Canada with easy returns. The shoes arrived in about two weeks and I opened the box with great anticipation only to be aghast at what lay inside.
To say the shoes were of sub standard quality is an understatement . The uppers were like cardboard; there were no insoles. The “size 8’s felt more like 6’s.
The material around the zippers had already come unglued, the bottom soles were hard plastic creating huge risk of falling. When I emailed Carter Online to request a refund, the most they would offer is $20 on a garbage product they were lightening quick to charge my Visa with $100. If I wanted a replacement pair I would have to pay $29.95 in shipping - definitely not the Customer experience promised. I would strongly advise anyone looking at the Carter On Line ads to hit delete. Also, their merchandise comes from China not Canada.

I should have read the reviews before placing my order!! Live and learn!! Shoes look like the ones ordered but the quality is extremely poor. These are not made of leather as stated in website. Sandals ordered are flimsy and stitching is very poor. No markings on inside to indicate sizing or material used. Orthopedic shoes have no insoles!! Soles are lightweight plastic. Sizing is way off…. Big and sloppy! These ship from China …. Not Canada!! Stay clear of this site. Wish I had!!

Terrible, not as advertised, size is too small, cheaply made, no insole. Will return if I pay the shipping. I’m sure that they came from China as when trying to track it showed them on a plane for several days. When I refused and don’t want another pair, I was advised I could be reimbursed $20.00.

Ordered a pair of sneakers and they are poor quality. Nothing like the picture.

The women's shoes are advertised as 'orthodic'. They are very low quality, with no insoles, hard plastic soles. Very cheap and definitely not orthodic. The buyer is responsible to pay for shipping back to China - not worth paying money to return. I will never buy from Carter Toronto again.

Ordered a pair of shoes thinking that this was a Canadian company. Came 2+ weeks later. Cheap quality and terrible smell. Nothing like the picture. Never buy from this company.

This is a total scam. We ordered a cashmere sweater for over $100 and received the most cheaply made polyester jersey worth possibly $5

Terrible quality and they refused to refund my money, they were only willing to exchange one item purchased or refund 20% of what I had paid

Misleading website in regards to quality of material. Much cheaper materials than in picture and sizing is very small. I ordered a ladies size 9 boot which fit my foot fine but couldn’t zip up past my ankle it was about 4 inches too small to go around leg.

Absolutely junk. Fake product, fake advertising. Do not order from this company. It is NOT Canadian. Now I’m stuck with a crappy product I paid $100 for! Infuriating.

This is a scam. No product arrived. No credit was processed. I had to get the bank involved. Avoid at all costs. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING.

When everything is on sale, all the time, and your return policy stipulates that sale items are non exchangeable or refundable, I would consider that a SCAM. Product sizing is entirely incorrect and while claiming to be a company from North America, products ship directly from Asia, which most likely accounts for the sizing being entirely incorrect.

They are a SCAM! They advertised boots as being leather and they were plastic. They are not based in Toronto. Everything comes from China. Refunds require that you send the item back to China, which costs more than their items. No credit offered, only a 30% refund, and yet they falsely advertised. They didn't even collect HST which makes me wonder if they're paying CRA taxes as they should.

They deserve a zero. Boots were extremely poor quality, look nothing like the picture amd the customer services is atrocious.
They will try to get you to exchange at no cost but if you want to return for a refund they say you have to pay to ship the garbage product to China.
Absolutely disgusting company.

Items made and shipped from China and your only return recourse is to ship back to China at your own cost.
Items are of poor quality and nothing like in the picture online. No “leather” involved in making footwear.
Do not bother purchasing anything from this company.

I’d give zero if I could. Supposed to be fast delivery then took weeks to arrive because of course they lied and it’s not coming from Toronto. It’s coming from China.
Their site says you can return items. Despite five emails to them about a return, I have yet to ever receive even an acknowledgement of the emails.
Horrendous company to deal with.

This company claims to be Toronto based but really, it's all from China.
Really cheap poor quality clothing's.
Not to mention all they reviews are all fake.
