The Carluex air was quick and straightforward. Followed the instructions And was set up quickly... That's about the only good part of the experience. Apps are glitchy and sometimes wouldn't fully open ( just a blank screen) functions are slow and made using a display almost impossible. Tried their tips and tricks, nothing. Still wasn't upset as on their site they advertise hassle-free return. If the return was hassle-free it was for them not me. The only way you have to contact them for returns or otherwise is through an email address, no phone number. You also have 30 days to return. I sent them several emails with no response. Lesson learned, if you can't buy it on Amazon, don't buy it. I'm assuming there's a reason they don't sell on anywhere but their website from what I can tell. 0 support 0 response. They do have a $35 return fee, and I would have taken that as a lesson.

I purchased the Carluex Pro+ 2.0 and use it with my 2015 Škoda Superb (VW Group).

The device arrived quickly after ordering, and my overall impression is very positive. It feels robust and well-built, with smooth and reliable functionality. It starts slightly later than the car’s native infotainment system, but this is barely noticeable and not really an issue - if I do allow few seconds more to it.
Occasionally, the CarPlay connection initializes faster than Carluex, and I need to switch to Carluex manually on the display. A simple workaround is to give the car a few seconds before starting the car's engine, allowing Carluex to power up first—then it connects immediately without any intervention.

The Carluex user interface is clean, well-structured, and easy to navigate. It offers plenty of customization options and access to many apps via the app store, so it can easily be tailored to different needs. In that sense, it’s very versatile.

I do have two minor comments, which may be specific to my car:

Occasionally after booting, the device remains frozen—the touchscreen commands don’t respond, although the device itself is running (the clock continues). In this case, I need to unplug it from the USB and reconnect it to reboot. This happens roughly once a week.

Incoming calls don’t always route correctly. When answering an incoming call, I can’t hear the other party. Hanging up and calling back manually resolves the issue. Maybe I still need to work a bit on the setup (not sure if the phone shall be connected both via BT and the CarPlay)

On the positive side, the customer service is excellent. I had a few additional requests, and the support team responded quickly and provided a 100% satisfactory solution.

Overall, I really like the device—my kids love it too—and it does exactly what I expected it to do. Despite the minor quirks, I’m happy with the purchase.

I purchased the Carluex Pro+ 2.0 primarily for use in my 2024 RAM 1500. First impressions were very positive—the unit itself is well-built and presentable, and the UI is clean, modern, and smooth with no noticeable lag. Boot time is quick, and visually it’s a big step up from many competing devices.

Unfortunately, functionality fell short in real-world use. When connecting my phone via Bluetooth, the audio does not properly route through the vehicle. I also attempted to use the Android Auto option, but experienced the same issue—audio cuts out completely during phone calls and when map voice directions are active. This makes hands-free use essentially unusable.

I ended up reinstalling my older Carlink unit, which, while dated in appearance, works far more reliably with Bluetooth audio, calls, and navigation prompts.

In summary, the Carluex Pro+ 2.0 has excellent design and a modern interface, but serious audio integration issues—at least in my 2024 RAM 1500—make it impractical. If reliability is more important than aesthetics, there are currently better-performing alternatives.

Wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing. No consumer rights as I am in the UK and they are in the US. As others have stated, complete lies about the 30 day money back guarantee. They refunded £10 of the £92 spent.

When my phone gets low, I plug it in and CarPlay keeps working without any hassle. Last time at the gas station, I paid right from the car screen - so convenient.

I don't like complicated gadgets. This connects automatically and updates itself. Just what I need for listening to music and navigation.

Switching songs or navigation screens is snappy with no lag. Lyrics and map text are crisp and easy to read, no squinting needed. Impressive.

Tried it on a weekend highway drive - music and navigation stayed connected the whole time with zero lag. Much more stable than my old Bluetooth connection. Very satisfied.

I bought Carluex pro+ 2.0. The fastest and most efficient I've tried so far and I've tried them at all prices. No problem with the SIM card by the way. The technical support was super efficient and quick to respond to me because I had a small problem but they corrected it efficiently. I recommend this device without hesitation, I am very satisfied.

Used to have a mess of charging and data cables, but with this wireless setup, the dashboard stays tidy. Charging doesn't interfere with using CarPlay either. Love it.

Since using Carluex, it connects automatically every time I open the car door. The connection never drops. Changing tracks and navigation work smoothly, so I don't have to keep staring at the screen. Very hassle-free.

Item did not work as sold, despite considerable time spent with them asking me to trouble shoot a range of their suggestions (ie - their deliberate stalling tactics). They refused to cover return postage costs despite being a faulty item. Buyer beware.

I ordered the car looks Carluex Air Pro. It would never work correctly. I tried to return it within a few weeks. They would not let me return it. They kept giving me reasons that may not work, which I tried. Then I found out it had an old update version that I had to download onto a SD card and upload to the unit. I put in the SD card correctly as I have a lot of experience with us the SD card would not eject. The thing is useless and I'm out $240. They basically steal from you.

The CARLUEX PRO+ is a scam. I have had nothing but trouble since day one when I purchased the device 4 months ago. My problem is the device plug connection not making contact with the power cord. The company sent me a new power cord, but this did not fix the problem. They REFUSE to send me a replacement or fix my device. DON’T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!

Six months with this wireless CarPlay adapter has completely changed the way I drive for the better. Every time I start the car, it connects instantly so I can dive right into music and navigation without worrying about complicated setups. I really appreciate its stability; whether I'm on city streets or highways, the connection quality remains solid.

I bought this wireless CarPlay adapter five months ago, and I've had an awesome experience so far. I bought this item April 24 and in July 24 it stopped working numerous emails to the company but just kept getting suggestions that were no help at all so I asked for a replacement or refund and just been ignored since so their after sales and one year warranty is not worth anything. I was told to download a recovery file and an update file put on a usb stick which I did but when I connected the item all I got was a black screen asking for a password so was then told to put in so many number eight's or zeros but each time it just said wrong password and as such could not get into the system to put the update or recovery files in

This company is garbage and a scam! They refuse to provide any real tech support and you can forget about speaking with anyone over the phone. I've been locked out of the device for 1.5 years with virtually no support.

Edit #2 - Never heard back from their customer service representative. I wrote to the NYS Consumer Protection Board and they attempted to resolve the issue and they never heard back from Carluex either. I wish I could upload the letter they sent me, but Trust Pilot doesn’t have picture uploads for reviews. Utterly disreputable and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.
Original review - Purchased their “Air” model for a 2018 Subaru Outback. It didn’t work. For whatever reason, even after troubleshooting with their customer support, it wouldn’t display properly. Fine, these things happen. But when I requested a refund (their website claims “Hassle-Free Returns”) I never heard back from them again. Not only is this a form of consumer fraud, but it’s an awful way to treat your customers. Needless to say, I wouldn’t buy from Carluex if it was the only option in its product category; which it is not.
EDIT: 9/29/2024 - I emailed Carluex with the information requested and more, so here’s hoping they respond this time. I will post an update again if/when they reply, or if they don’t reply at all.

Carluex wasn't working for me so i wanted to return the unit and was asking multiple times for the return address. A Julia continued to give unwanted advice but never gave a return address. Looks like a scam, stay away from them if you aren't 100% sure that the unit will work in your vehicle
