Not only did these geniuses miss multiple items that I am frankly stunned by, but when I pointed it out and asked them to make it right, they offered a bribe of half of the fee I paid them in exchange for me not talking about how incompetent they are online.
If you're looking for an inspection team that knows what they're doing, go with anybody else. Literally someone off the street would be better.
And to the person who will inevitably read and respond to this - I'm so glad you got your dream job.
This company is a fraud; as explained in other reviews, they advertise pre-purchase car inspections but don't tell you that the inspection has no legal effect; as required to transfer ownership here in Ontario, Canada. Nor do they tell you that they don't give refunds, but they do demand cash up front.
After being conned out of $200 by these thugs, i had to immediately book another, legal, pre-purchase auto inspection at Canadian Tire for $200 in order to purchase my car. Don't get cheated by these con artists like i did.

Be carefull from this company in Montreal. The agent explains in the phone that inspection is completed with full report. The web site asks you to pay in advance. Then the technicien calls you to come make inspection and will explain you it's just a visual inspection without any machine after paying your money. When asking for your money back they refuse any refund without giving you any services
I'm just going to share my personal experience here. I live in the province of Saskatchewan and wanted to buy a car from Manitoba. I contacted the Inspect service to send someone to check the car for me.
The car was inspected, and I was told that the exhaust muffler was damaged and the body had three repainted areas.
I spoke with the inspector and asked if there was any rust underneath the car. They said there was, but it was normal and not a concern.
It’s now been three weeks since I bought the car, but I still haven’t been able to get a safety certificate.
The rear hatch window lift is broken and doesn’t work.
The power steering pump is leaking oil, and when we opened it up, we discovered everything inside was shattered.
The rust underneath the car is extremely severe and had been covered with paint, but a specialist can easily spot it.
The brake backing plate on the driver’s side is missing.
The brake and engine warning lights on the dashboard kept turning on and off. After about two weeks of working on it, we found out the car's computer and wiring had serious issues, and I had to replace all the wiring.
The front suspension needs to be completely replaced—the steering was totally unstable.
And there are many smaller problems that I think would just be tedious to mention here.
This was my experience.
Hi, I has a very bad experience with this group Car Inspect. Address mentioned was 4388 St-Denis Montreal. I was looking to purchase another vehicle and had another inspector going to do the inspection. He had to cancel. I was doing a request with this group and the car dealer called to advise the car was not available. I tried to cancel the possible inspection with CarInspect and they refused to cancel the credit card transaction ( within 10 minutes of doing the transaction) I have a problem with this type of ethics from a group. I will be doing my best to advise everyone and also chargeback my credit card. Does not seem to be an ethical group to deal with for car inspections in and around Montreal, Quebec. There are other more reputable groups and one recommended by the APA ( automobile protection association) Check before you do any credit card transaction with this group.
My inspector, Ahmed, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond, even calling me to point out important details and keeping me informed throughout the process. Since I’m from abroad, he made sure to ask if there were specific areas I wanted him to inspect more closely. A truly dedicated and professional inspector whom I can highly recommend to any potential customer.

Purchasing a used car can be quite the challenge, especially with unreliable private buyers and dealerships. After facing disappointments with both, we turned to Kiwiz for a pre-purchase inspection. Their team demonstrated exceptional flexibility, accommodating last-minute rescheduling and maintaining prompt email communication throughout. Within just 24 hours, they conducted a thorough inspection, providing us with a comprehensive report that gave us peace of mind in our purchase decision. Kiwiz truly delivered on their promise, and we highly recommend their services to anyone in need of a reliable inspection for a used car.

Would highly recommend. Great service, fast and good communication. Save yourself the trouble and time to go to a mechanic. Plus they give you a very detailed report with pictures you get to keep.

The inspector was very helpful with diagnosing the condition of the car and suggesting how to take care of maintenance.
Rescheduling the appointment was also a smooth and seamless process. In the end Kiwiz made me more confident in buying the car I wanted with their positive report results.

This is my first time using a PPI company. I was purchasing a vehicle in different province that I had only seen a pictures of. Never driven and this is scary to begin with and added this is a large price tag (for me). Meryl and Maxime made the entire situation so quick, easy and professional. Max got all work done within 48hr from my order placed to receive the report. He also called me to explain the report and shared his impression about the car.
A little suggestion is that if they can shoot a video when starting the engine, it would be more than perfect.

Gold Star!
The Kiwiz site was easy to navigate. Instructions were clear. Their response time was immediate. The inspection happened promptly.
The report was highly detailed and instructive.
Communication throughout the process was professional and friendly.
I will use them for my next car purchase and recommend them to all my family and friends.

They took care of the inspection quickly and the report that was sent to me confirmed there were repairs to be done. Unfortunately, the seller didn’t lower the price accordingly, and I didn’t buy the car, but the inspector at Kiwiz did an amazing job! Would 100% use their service again!

First time using Kiwiz car inspection and couldn't be more impressed. Needed an inspection done urgently to finalize the purchase of a used car. Their customer service team was prompt, helpful and was able to schedule an appointment within 36 hours of booking. The professional Rommel, called immediately after the inspection to provide his guidance. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The report I received was thorough, with key recommendations that I leveraged to get the dealership to address a couple issues that were identified. The money spent on the inspection was well worthwhile and I'd highly recommend Kiwiz to anyone seeking an expert opinion on buying a used vehicle.

Great service. The dealership I was purchasing a used car from wouldn't let me take the car off the lot for a PPI so Kiwiz was exactly what I needed. The mechanic (Rommel) who inspected the car was super helpful and chatted with me on the phone for 10+ minutes post-inspection. The car was AWD and had two brand new and two old tires which he recommended against due to wear and tear on the differential. Since when I signed for the car I had made the dealer let me add it to make it contingent on my mechanic coming and doing a PPI pre-delivery, I was able to negotiate with the dealer to make them put on a full matching set or threaten walking away and cancelling the sale. It took some fighting with them but they caved. Inspection paid for itself in the form of two free tires plus the added peace of mind. Even the brand name dealers are sketchy when it comes to used cars, this car's owner's manual also says to never mismatch worn and new tires due to the AWD.
I also recommend communicating with your seller and ensuring the mechanic will be allowed to test drive the car. They did not allow the mechanic to when he showed up (despite knowing he was coming) so that was a bit disappointing but that's the dealer's fault, not Kiwiz.

I had high hopes for Kiwiz, but unfortunately there's a flaw in their model: they're a marketplace for third-party mechanics. This means availability is not guaranteed.
Despite claiming a 48 hour turnaround, they weren't able to find anyone in downtown Toronto/the GTA within a 72 hour window. I booked on a Saturday hoping for a Monday inspection I was due to pick up on Tues. Their initial email confirmed they'd be able to find someone. On Monday night, I received a call to say it wasn't likely they would even be able to make it for Tuesday.
If I'd have known this earlier, I would have sourced another mechanic. Unfortunately, I missed my inspection window.
I'm giving 4* because they were responsive, polite and offered me a full refund. I'd try them again in the future, but I'd like to see more transparency in the choice of mechanic and their likely availability upfront before payment is taken for a booking.
