Refund Follow-Up NOT GIVEN

Follow-Up: Past 5–7 Business Days — Still No Refund or Communication

I want to be crystal clear. Your representative pushed me for two days to add $300–$400 more after we had already agreed on a price. When I refused, I was told I wouldn’t get a refund because I was breaking the contract. That is false. You breached the agreement by failing to provide the service we agreed upon.

I first saw your Trustpilot reply at 1:00 AM stating you had processed a refund and that it would appear in 5–7 business days. It is now past that window.
• No refund has posted to my bank account.
• No email, no call, no message from your company.
• Your public claim that a refund was processed is untrue.

For context: I’ve shipped my car for 20 years—this is my fifth auto transport. I have never had a legitimate transporter try to raise the price after an agreement, and I’ve never been told “the price might change” after paying a deposit. Reputable companies honor their quotes. This pattern from you is dishonest and unprofessional.

What I expect now:
1. Immediate refund of the full amount paid.
2. Written confirmation with the transaction ID, amount, method, and date of the refund.

If I don’t receive proof and funds promptly, I’ll proceed with a chargeback through my bank and file complaints with the FMCSA/DOT (for brokers/transporters), my State Attorney General/Consumer Protection, and the BBB, and I will continue updating this review with facts.

To anyone considering this company: my experience involved price-hike pressure, contract misrepresentation, and no refund beyond the timeline they themselves stated. Stay away.

Rip off do not trust

This company is a peice of shit I contacted them for service to transport my truck from Cleveland to Columbus back on may 31st 2025 after not fulfilling what I needed and not picking up my truck I asked for a refund I paid a down payment of 150 when it came time to refund me the guy Neil gave me the biggest run around still to this day I still have not received my refund or anything funny thing is I look at more reviews and see I’m not the only one they’ve done this to it’s a shame you have people out here like Neil and company scamming good people out of there hard earned money he’s the type that sounds like a stand up guy but all in all he’s nothing but a manipulative scammer if you know better people then you’ll do better do not go with this company he’ll rip you off and act like it never happened please don’t settle for less and set yourself up for failure it’s not worth the time the money or the headache dealing with these clowns

HORRIBLE

We got a quote for $600, then they increased to $700 at booking. Then they called the day of and said it would be $1600. When we asked to cancel they said they found someone for $800. Then they dumped us on another company (after taking $150), and told that other company they'd get the fill $800 in cash (even though we already paid $150). They're a horrible company, never use them

Just wanted to post that this company…

Just wanted to post that this company provided excellent service. They took care to make sure I had updates on the transport of my Delorean, yes a Delorean. And it all went ok and on time. I would definitely recommend them!

Car-Go Great Experience!

Great experience with Gar-Go Auto Transport Glendale AZ. Jim quoted me a price but said they thought they could beat the quote, once he had located the carrier and provideda ballpark delivery date. Jim beat both! I felt I was dealing with an honest company, committed to a quality vehicle transport. Will use them again for any future transports.

Don’t trust a liar

We talked to Mike Lawler in the beginning. He promised us that we would have no trouble and our vehicle would be picked up early. Our promised date was Wednesday but NO later than Saturday. We agreed as he assured us he could get it done by Thursday. After Thursday, Friday, and Saturday didn’t happen Mike refused to answer his phone or return messages. This Jerry person started calling and literally has no idea what is going on, where the driver is, why the driver isn’t picked up the vehicle, And has no time frame in which this vehicle can be picked up. The most unprofessional, disrespectful, and poorly managed company I’ve ever come in contact with. Don’t walk but RUN away from these people. Today has been over a week and still no idea when this will happen.

This was a horrible experience

This was a horrible experience. They either never scheduled a driver (according to customer service) or scheduled one who had inexplicable problems getting to my house (according to the rep who signed me up). I had to call and email them repeatedly for several days to try to get them to talk to me. The customer service rep in particular acted like I was being totally unreasonable to want to know what was going on with the arrangements I had made a month in advance. (He literally told me to stop calling him, even though they still had no idea what was going to happen to my car.) It was a horribly stressful experience.

Finally, to pick up my car during the agreed upon time frame, I had to agree to pay more than the contracted price. I cannot believe I agreed to it, but I was stuck at that point because I was moving the next day. The car then arrived later then promised. They said the company would refund my card $50 (not the full extra amount they charged me, but $50 as a "courtesy") after I paid the delivery fee. Unfortunately, the driver couldn't take a card (which I was never told) so my husband had to run to the grocery store and get a money order so we didn't hold the driver up too badly. Literally everything that could have gone wrong with this company did go wrong with this company.

The driver (who did NOT work for them--they claim they're not a broker but they are) was the only good part of the interaction.

Appalling

Appalling. Paid in full, but my car was never delivered to Portugal, and all my luggage was in the boot. I think the company is under new ownership. DO NOT USE THEM!

Bad customer service

Called them to transport our 58 Volkswagon paid for it almost a week later it still wasn't scheduled.. I cancelled it through them and called someone else she was amazing had the car picked up the next day in a very nice enclosed trailer. Tried to get a refund through Car-Go they refunded part of the money. The owner of Car-Go Auto Transport was rude to us & hung up on me. Definitely won't be recommending them to anyone. Ever!!

Car-Go is sorry we were not able to help with their move. Car-Go strives to be the best company we can be. Please check our ratings out completely before you take this 1 negative rating to heart. We give everyone the same upfront expectations. We quote: Given a 1 week advance notice, we can usually pick up your vehicle within a 3 business day window and our typical transit time is 7-14 days. This time frame is standard for an open transport move. Mr. and Mrs. Boodt opted to move their vehicle on an enclosed transport, this can take a bit longer to schedule because there are a lot fewer enclosed transporters then there are open. Mr. and Mrs. Boodt requested a quote on 7/20/2017, booked their order on 7/25/2017 and made their first date the vehicle was available for pick up on 7/25/2017. On 7/31/2017, after numerous calls before and after booking when they were given our estimated time frame. Car-Go was only given 3 working days to schedule this move as they placed their order late on Tuesday 7/25/2017 and cancelled early on Monday 7/31/2017. Realistically Car-Go had Wednesday – Friday to get this vehicle scheduled. Mrs. Boodt stated that they went with another company that was able to pick up the next day. What she did not state is because of someone they know that works for BMW they were able to get a transport on a BMW company truck. These trucks do not typically transport “Privately Owned Vehicles or POVs” they usually only do BMW manufactured vehicles and these trucks run differently than a truck that moves POVs because they don’t pick up and deliver in multiple places. As for the credit card issue, the Boodt’s placed 3 payments with 2 different credit cards. When they cancelled the order and Car-Go credited their card, they were given confirmations with transaction IDs showing the credits. The 2 charges on the same card showed up the next day. Because the 3rd charge, on a different card, didn’t show up the same time Mrs Boodt called after hours and I returned her call. I explained to her that different credit card companies process their credits differently and it would most likely show up tomorrow and if not I would contact our processing company and find out what the problem was. She put Mr Boodt on the phone, he said he was on the phone with the credit card company and they didn’t show it and if we didn’t get it taken care of immediately he was going to take action against Car-Go and give us bad reviews. I tried to explain we had given them the transaction info so he could see the credit had been run, he became very rude and gave the phone to his wife. At this point I was very frustrated being threatened and spoken to in such a way that I was short with Mrs. Boodt and I shouldn’t have been. As I was explaining to her again that we would check in the morning and if the credit hadn’t shown up I would find out what had happened, we were cut of. I did not hang up on Mrs. Boodt. When I was able to make a call again I call and left a message and apologized for us being cut off. Early the next morning Mrs. Boodt emailed stating they had received the 3rd credit. Car-Go does everything we can to educate our customers and give them realistic expectations. We never lie to our customer just to close a deal. We are always honest and up front. However, when customers have unrealistic expectations we can only try to educate them to this industry and do the best job we can. In this case it was not enough.

Perfect from end to end

This was the first time we had shipped a vehicle. Pickup in Phoenix by a very friendly guy on Friday and delivered in Oregon on Wednesday. Absolutely flawless process.

pam moynes at cargo autotransport was great. she allayed any fears i might have had as a first-time cross country vehicle purchaser and transporter. she was the very definition of "on the ball" and held my hand each step of the way. and i needed hand holding! i would highly recommend cargo and especially pam moynes to anyone.
