Guy contacted me regarding finding me best price on sr hilux, assured me would not take him more than 4 hours to get back to me with best price in WA. Waited 2 days now and no return info/ call regarding new vehicle purchase, if he couldn’t find a better price than I could personally at any Toyota dealership at least have the common courtesy to let me know, would not recommend these chancers again, buyer beware.

Car Expert found us the new car we wanted within a couple of hours. They saved us thousands of dollars from Mazdas online listed price. They also saved us the hassle of dealing with the showroom staff and back and forth price haggling with “ out the back”.

Contacted CE, spoke to Dan who got things rolling quickly. All contact was made on time and on point. Resolved in a better deal with my local dealer than I could get myself. Very happy. Caveat emptor
I was advised by Izi that the hybrid Toyota Rav I ordered in April was going to be delivered in July, then mid August then silence. I had to call Izi for an update on several occasions and was invariably told "she doesn't work on Fridays but I'll get her [or somebody else] to call you on Monday". No such call ever materialised. Caveat emptor peeps.

There were issues with the dealership handling your order, but as your point of contact, we should have managed the situation and communication much better. We’ve also identified a system issue on our side that should have flagged the changing ETA earlier and prompted us to follow up proactively.
You shouldn’t have had to chase us for updates, and when we said someone would call you back, that should have happened. We could have done more.
We’re glad you were ultimately able to secure a car, but we’re genuinely sorry this was the lasting impression we left you with. We’d welcome the opportunity to help again in future and provide the experience you should have had the first time.
Where CarExperts can improve.
The key strengths of CarExperts include their extensive range of vehicle reviews and database of vehicle specifications, their bidding platform that is used to obtain the best dealer price on the vehicle model I decided to buy, and to a lesser degree input from the CarExpert advising on the brands of vehicles I should consider when seeking a particular model.
The experience was positive in that I purchased a vehicle that was under my budget, has higher specifications than I expected and the search time was short and efficient.
Areas where CarExperts could improve include setting expectations on what they will and will not do eg they offer no assistance to the buyer with the Sales Contract. They should consider providing contract legal assistance for a fee.
I was disappointed to find I received no formal hand over from the dealer at time of delivery, no overview was provided on any aspect of the vehicle like how to connect my phone, do’s and don’ts about engaging 4x4 mode so as not to bind the transmission, that the Korean vehicle having a diesel motor requires to use AdBlue, when my existing Korean Kia diesel doesn’t need AdBlue.
The responsibilities of CarExperts and the buyer need to be better defined, in detail, and publicised. With greater attention to detail I would have provided a 5 star rating.

Assistance with sales contracts and the vehicle handover itself currently sit outside the role of CarExpert, but we agree we can do a better job of setting those expectations clearly from the outset.

Got a massive discount on the final price of my Cannon Alpha Ultra PHEV.
I ticked most add on accessories. Going through Car Expert made the job of finding the best deal so much easier. The dealer I picked up my car from was a fair way from home but was worth the travel for the deal I got.
