Not great service

Ordered a chair on 2nd May. It’s the 26th today and still no sign of it. No communication from the company since 19th May when I was told they would confirm that my order was with the courier. Tried emailing again this morning but, again, no response. If you have someone that needs orthopaedic support I suggest you buy elsewhere.

Very good company to deal with

Very good company to deal with. Kept informed regarding delivery. Our item was delivered by courier because of the distance and the driver was a lovely helpful man. The chair is exactly what was needed and very good value. No hesitation is recommending them.

My brother and I recently purchased a…

My brother and I recently purchased a fireside chair for our mum, who has sadly been diagnosed with a brain tumour and is deteriorating quickly. This was an important and time-sensitive purchase for us, as we wanted to make her as comfortable as possible.

At the time of purchase, everything appeared to be in order. However, since then, communication has been very poor. I’ve had to repeatedly chase for updates, which has only added to the stress of an already difficult situation.

The last response I received stated that I would be sent delivery details via email, as the chair was due to be delivered this week. It is now Thursday evening, and I have still received no email or confirmation.

This lack of communication is extremely concerning. Given the urgency of our situation, the uncertainty is causing significant distress—not only for me, but also for my mum, who has even begun to worry that we may have been scammed.

I would strongly urge the company to improve their communication and provide clear, timely updates to customers—especially when orders are as important and time-sensitive as this one.

Item Good. Let down by appalling delivery!

I said that I would not give a bad review about the chair I purchased on behalf of an elderly aunt, and I wont! To be fair it was of good quality and reasonably priced. Communication from Care Home Chairs was good.
However the delivery service itself was appalling!
I sent an email to the seller explaining the poor service, but since no-one has bothered to reply I will tell you what happened.
I received an email from the delivery company "the1983project.co.uk" to say that the chair was "on it's way" and would be delivered ASAP ..... NO other information was given!
Then out of the blue I received an email at 10.27 one morning saying that the delivery would be made by 12.00 the same day!
This caused no end of problems resulting in a hurried journey to get to the delivery address and take delivery. An hour and a half notice is NOT good enough!
Whoever this "1983project.co.uk" is, needs to up their game and start to notify people with proper delivery slots.
My opinion. Care Home Chairs (and the chair that I ordered were OK), (although they have not bothered to respond to my email that I sent them as feedback notifying them of the poor delivery).
But the delivery company they use (and there is very little info about this company online) is without doubt the worst that I have dealings with for a number of years!
For that reason I shall not be purchasing form care Home Chairs again.

No delivery

Ordered mid-Jan but three weeks later there was no sign of delivery. Phoned the company who promised delivery the following day. The chair still didn't arrive so I phoned the company again and was told it would be another four days. At this point, I lost faith and cancelled the order. Can't review the quality of the chair as I never saw it :-(
