I love care.com ... Working with Care.com has been a positive experience overall. It’s an easy way to connect with families looking for childcare, senior care, or pet sitting, all in one place. Creating a detailed profile helps attract the right opportunities, and the review system makes it easier to build trust and credibility over time.
Communication is simple and organized, which makes managing jobs less stressful. However, some features require a paid membership, and there can be competition for jobs.
Overall, it’s a convenient and reliable platform for finding consistent caregiving work.
I found a good caregiver on care.com I like how they do background checks and they have people where you can message them, but the price can be kind of high so just keep that in mind
We are preschool providers. Signed up with Care.com to have more exposure so we can get more kids enrolled, but we got only one in three months. Not only that, all of the parents who "needed child care" never answered their phones, emails, or sms. Customer service is the worst. They will get back to you in a few days or a week, but that is not the problem. I really don't know how they advertise their website, but my web developer looks like doing a much better job in advertising, because we show up on the first page, with very little budget, Care.com on the second page or later.
Read their contract policy (They do not guarantee anything, but you have to sign a one-year contract). We made a huge mistake by just tasting them and what they were offering, without reviewing their reviews and whether they are actually advertised. Now we are stuck with an extra $300 expense for the next 10 months, and no results.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH CARE.COM
If you have a website, you spend this $300 on Google, and get a lot more exposure. Make your money worth it, not waisted like we did.

This site is very informative and easy to use. I like the fact that they all alerted me when I received a message. There’s a lot of job opportunity on care.com and I was able to find a job fairly quickly. I would recommend care.com to anyone looking for a job as a babysitter or nanny.

I subscribed in February 2025 for a year. After about a week or two of checking out the site, I determined it wasn’t what I was looking for, so I cancelled the auto renew after only about 2 weeks. Fast forward to a year later and care billed me $155 for another year. They didn’t care and would only refund a small portion of what they billed for the new years subscription, even though I had cancelled near my a year earlier. When I pressed for the full amount, they wouldn’t budge, even though it was their fault and I had never used them heir service. AVOID CARE.COM LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are terrible, do not care about their customers and very poor customer service.

I cancelled my plan and then they are basically saying I am lying and I didn't but I know I did and they stole $45 and won't refund me for there mistake. Don't use this company !

Care.com is a great platform to find nanny and caregiver jobs with lots of opportunities and flexible schedules. I’ve connected with good families through it. Just be aware of the membership fee and always screen clients carefully. Overall, it’s worth using if you’re serious about caregiving.

The service was decent while I was using it. They handled payroll for several nannies I employed over the years. I inactivated my account in October 2024 and they kept charging me a quarterly fee. It is impossible to delete bank account information on their website if you want to keep access to your payroll records. I contacted the company in January 2025 and they assured me there would be no further charges. I realized today that they have still been charging me quarterly, to the tune of almost $500 over the past year and a half. Yes, I should be paying much better attention but frankly I should be able to trust that after I contacted them once about this, the charges would stop. If there is not a class action suit against these people already, there should be.
Care has been a blessing application for my business. I feel safe with clients through this platform

So many wonderful candidates! All were great, enthusiastic to work, and qualified. I was very happy with the woman I chose for the job.

Care. com was easy to seek out providers and review those interested in the position we advertised for, which helps us to focus just on those who have an interest in the postion. We ould also feel confident with the background check provided that we were more out ease in trusting those that we interviewed. All applicants were great and qualified for the postioin and came prepared to show us creditentails and referecnes.
The process of posting the postion and then applicants reaching back to us was simple and provided easy access to the applicants to do an intial screening before shortening our list to those we wanted to interview. Overall a great experience and happy with the qualified caregivers we interviewed and hired.

They've been charging $42/month on a Guest plan (which is supposed to be free, and they agree I have a Guest plan and that Guest plans are free), can't find charges when I call, won't give me a complaint/report/ticket number for my call to them, say they don't have any supervisors, and tried to get my personal banking info. I still haven't been able to talk to anyone who can look into it, so I'm currently out hundreds of dollars and they don't even know why. Stay far away.

SCAM Company that uses deceptive tactics to trap you into long term subscription.
I took advantage of an offer of 3 months to find a dog sitter. Unbeknown to me they took another payment 3 months later and another 3 months after that, which I picked up on as a payment through PayPal I didn't recognise. They were difficult to contact and said to contact through the payment provider but their link on PayPal doesnt work. When I finally managed to contact Care.com they simply said they don't do refunds. It took 2 attempts to cancel my account, and had I not double checked, it would still be running for a subscription. They've told me I can still use the platform until the end of my 3 months- that I've paid for!!!!! However in the 9 months there were no applicants that were suitable and found a sitter on another site.
Apparently any replies to their answers on here are fruitless.
Care.com settled with the FTC for 8.5 million to their customers. Accusations were misleading information, failing to provide a simple way to cancel subscriptions, deceptive design practices to trap consumers in subscriptions snd dark practices to hinder users from cancelling. It appears that nothing has changed. AVOID.
Charged us for 3 months and we weren’t able to get one sitter booked. Then they flagged my account for disputing the last months charge with my bank after I tried to cancel my subscription and they didn’t and they wouldn’t refund my money. Absolutely a scam! $38.99 and they never secured us a sitter. We had used them in the past and paid like $60+ for the premium background checks and even that one time it was hard to secure a sitter so we ended up cancelling and tried it again like 10 months later
Im having been able to meet amazing families through care.

This is a scam. You have to pay them before you even know if they have anybody in the right place or for a reasonable cost.
And they are DISHONEST because they advertise their service as free, and they know you won't get any information without paying them.
Now they want more information: My review is very clear: You advertise your service as free, but no information on the desired service is available unless you get paid. I don't see any room for a question or more information here.
