We were excited at first that we qualified for the grant but I really wish that I had never agreed to it as the stress it has caused isn’t worth it. Trying to get Carbon Rewind to sort out the damage they have done to the house has been a nightmare and they don’t bother turning up for appointments and don’t bother to inform you. We have solar panels and a battery but no information on how it works. The customer service is rubbish and I’ve had to hold for over an hour each time to get through.

Carbon Rewind installed solar panels via my energy company. I had a wonderful experience with them. Their Customer Services agent Charade Crichlow was superb. She really looked after me. A great credit to her company. I had several teams come out to me who were very conscientious and hard working. Each team cleaned up after themselves. They were all very helpful and made sure I was happy with the work done. Thank you Carbon Rewind.
We had a great experience with Carbon Rewind when one of our properties was undergoing insulation upgrades. The team successfully carried out external wall insulation, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, heat pump installation, and solar panel installation, which improved the EPC rating from D to A.
Communication from the team was excellent throughout the project. Chardae in particular kept us informed of the progress in a timely and professional manner.
I would highly recommend Carbon Rewind to anyone looking for heating and insulation upgrades.

Absolutely shocking from start to finish. Failed to turn up for multiple appointments for the install, it was eventually rushed through by one worker who was going on holiday the next day. Result? Multiple broken slates, slates not fastened onto the roof, gaps between slates and multiple leaks. Contacted them and they were'nt interested. Beware Carbon Rewind in Cornwall. Look at all the 5 star reviews mentioning alll those names!! Really?! One word...Fake and if you have to leave fake reviews.....Watch out for an immediate 5 star review!
***Update...I have contacted you with pictures, you sent round a leak specialist whose ladder was too small and he did'nt even enter the loft space. You then told me it was 'wear and tear'

We highly recommend both Carbon Rewind and the Community Energy Plus Team from Cornwall Council. Carbon Rewind managed our application and installation of our home upgrades. From start to finish, Gordana at Carbon Rewind's Truro Office has been polite, professional, and available whenever any concerns, questions, or issues came up. I really appreciated that there was a local office in Cornwall and that many of those contracted to do the work were mostly local to Cornwall
I first contacted Community Energy Plus at Cornwall Council at the end of May 2025. Sandy very helpfully advised that we were eligible for some upgrades to our property so she referred me to Carbon Rewind. Gordana at Carbon Rewind made contact about 6 weeks later to schedule a survey of our property to determine what improvements were best for our semi-detached property.
David who undertook the heating survey on 26th August was polite, professional and advised there were a number of options. We submitted the necessary paperwork and within a couple of weeks Gordana made contact again to advise that we were eligible for an upgrade to our Loft Insulation, Ventilation systems, upgrade of storage Heaters in our lounge and three upstairs bedroom heaters, as well as installation of Solar PV Panels on our roof with Inverter System. We agreed to the works and made a very reasonable householder contribution in two payments – one before the start of the works and one upon completion.
Gordana kept us informed with detailed dates of work and was able to reschedule the start dates to accommodate our personal schedules. Everyone who attended our property was polite, professional, good humoured, and informative.
The inspector Anthony was polite to my wife as were all who attended. The scaffolders Aaron and Arron from All Rise were efficient and jolly erecting scaffolding the Friday before works began. Works started on a Monday 1st December 2025 when Frankie and Dan installed window trickle vents and upgraded the loft insulation quickly as well as offering advice on installing loft stilts.
The electricians, John and Kelsey were outstanding. They both worked so hard and had a great sense of humour. With great efficiency and care to our property, they installed upgraded ventilation in our bathroom and kitchen as well as replacing the storage heater in the lounge and 3 bedrooms with upgraded electric heaters. By Wednesday they had completed most of the works inside the house installing the inverter system in the loft and bedroom cupboard.
The roofers, Chris, Travis, and finally Gerry worked very hard installing the Solar PV panels on the roof and connecting to the system inside. There were some minor delays due to bad weather and other work demands on the roofers but all was installed by the 19th December and commissioned by the electrician John on the 22nd December 2025. The scaffolding was finally removed on the 2nd February 2026 by All Rise.
We noticed increased benefits right after the loft insulation and have benefitted from a warmer house with better ventilation. On the days it has been sunny, we have generated some solar power and already seen a reduction in our bills. All is in place and continues to work well and we have received many emails and items of paperwork regarding the works and various warranties. We have had some high winds and heavy rains and all is dry, secure, stable and continues to work well.
Thanks again to Community Energy Plus at Cornwall Council and to all at Carbon Rewind, especially Gordana who has been absolutely brilliant.

From reading the other reviews, it seems to depend on who Carbon Rewind farm out the work to. We weren't lucky, and over the last three years have had a series of atrocious contractors who have incorrectly fitted cavity wall insulation, releasing millions of micro-beads into our home, garden, and surrounding streets and gardens. Our walls are damaged, our new kitchen extractor fan broken, and the soil in our garden is packed with plastic. Carbon Rewind employees are kind, but largely ineffective.
After consulting a proper installer, we learned that our home isn't appropriate for the type of insulation they installed, and the material they used isn't common anymore, because of its faults. I strongly recommend looking for another provider if you are in the South of England (we are in the South East, yet the contractors drive here from all over.)
I cannot express how acutely stressful and anxiety-inducing this process has been, and it's not over.

Daniel Warner has been brilliant
Nothing too much trouble and went the extra mile. I can say I’ve never met an engineer that’s great at his job and also kind caring and puts the customer first.
Sorted boiler and checked everything before he left.

Needed a call out and Daniel Warner was exceptional. Sorted the problem with the boiler and made sure everything was working before he left. Couldn’t ask for more.

Danny & Franky arrived on time, were professional and officiant throughout.
Really friendly and attention to detail is second to none.
Thank you both so much, we’re really happy

Applying for Grants feels like an exhausting process and I found Carbon Rewind went the extra mile to help us - particularly in researching and finding options for us that we didn't know about. I have found the whole process relaxed and reliable. Gordana is excellent.

The staff, when they turned up, were generally helpful and completed the various jobs (Solar installation, Storage heater installation, Roof insulation). Timescales were not achieved, mainly due to poor office coordination but eventually all the work was completed.
However there was no handover pack despite continuous requests and the most important part of this was the electrical installation certificate for the solar installation and consumer units they installed.
All this I have chased with them for months without success.
Overall they left me with a sour taste.
Following the response here to my review there has been no further action from Carbon rewind so I feel it necessary to escalate further to get the documentation for the installation.

We found Craig very knowledgeable and capable with all he did with regard to the installation of the system.
He kept us informed with what he was doing. He worked hard and cleared up after himself .

I've had the pleasure of offering my cleaning services to Carbon Rewind a month ago, and it’s been a great experience working with such a professional and respectful team. Communication has been smooth, and the environment they foster is both welcoming and efficient. I truly appreciate the opportunity to support their workspace and look forward to continuing our working relationship.

Initially we were very excited with the scheme to make our home more energy efficient. Replace our old back boiler, insulate the loft and add ventilation to our windows.
How disappointed we were.
Repeatedly failed to show when we took time off work to be home. Sliced into the seals of windows to install trickle vents, sideways?!
Told us they could drain our old boiler and install new one in just one day... plumber turned up at midday and said he would be leaving a 4pm. So we decided not to let the "miracle workers" do any more damage to our 200 year old cottage.
The did fill our rear wall with insulation tiny foam balls...... and our kitchen and our garden. The engineer left the hose running whilst moaning about how much he hated working for them.
So after such wasted time, money and patience. We are now out of pocket having to pay for a new boiler. Plus damage to our windows. Oh and wasted annual leave.

What a great team of people that carried out my installation, Holly in the office with endless patience with the problems I had sorting out my electric supply, Kelsey, Damien, George. Declan and finally Kate delivering the equipment, they were all friendly, polite but professional. Consulted and kept me informed when appropriate and generally worked as a happy team together. My bungalow look clean and tidy on completion of the work and all rubbish cleared away in the time stated. Above all the whole team made me feel a valued person that they enjoyed doing their best for. It was a pleasure to have them in my home

I give Carbon rewind 5 stars only due to two of the staff members who i believe have gone above and beyond with helping us firstly I would like to say a big thank you to Alison in the truro office for being there evey time we had a problem she was easy to get of and she would always call us back when promised she was able to sort and arrange to get all of our problems sorted and secondly to John who I consider to be an amazing electrician who has come back time and time again to rectify all the problems that were caused by most of the ther incompetent staff who at times left us with no power and some very dodgy wiring but John is very conciseness and and does everything neat correct and safely I believe if it wasn't for these two people then my experience and review would have been very different I also want their company to know that they do not get the recognition they deserve

It's sad that I'm doing this yet again . I'm not going though all what went wrong as I already done that . I have been ringing and emailing since January 2024 with this company. Trying to get things replaced and repaired ,I haven't been able to get cheaper electric . The electric bill for my disabled mother is going up and up and up. So I spoke to my electricity provider and they informed me they couldn't do any without a MCS certificate ,which I should of received 10 days after the solar system was put in . So for us it's been a very long journey ,which in one way I wish I never started for my mother ,all I was doing was trying to keep my mother warmer . But unfortunately I couldn't this winter as it was to expensive .
