The Salesman Yasin was very professional and helpful. There was no hard sell of the ancillary items but clear information was freely offered. I will reserve full judgment until the deal is completed... See more

Visited car planet first the first time today, what a relief this is how car sales should be done.
Met Kamran, very polite and friendly didn't feel pressured, no hard sell, felt he was genuine and relatable.
Happy with the outcome, finally getting the car I've needed for ages!!!
Thanks Kamran.
FAO Kleo and Cara, you appear to have fell of the radar since my email highlighting another issue, we got one resolved and now I face another (actually 2) I have sent several emails and left 5 messages over the last 2 days and yet no one has responded? I can only assume that my messages are not get through. I know a member of your team quickly response to messages on this platform good and bad. So hopefully they will respond to this publicly and explain why im not getting a call or email back. Please don't respond with your standard message asking to contact customer support with the vehicle reg as this will not help resolve the issue. I need a member of the management team to call me ASAP. I have spent far to long on hold and chasing for a resolution

Very disappointing experience – poor communication and handling of my money
I was initially considering purchasing a car from Car Planet and paid a £100 holding fee and a £250 deposit. The car then needed a repair to the top mount on the left front wheel, so I was waiting for this to be resolved before making a final decision.
My problems started when I requested the £100 holding fee back. Despite repeatedly being told that the refund had been sent or was being processed, I could not get straightforward confirmation that the payment had actually been issued. I repeatedly asked for a payment confirmation or transaction reference, but was met with delays and explanations that they did not have the resources to provide a receipt.
I was then told that the refund had been requested with accounts and would take 3–5 working days. Meanwhile, the car appeared back on their website, reduced by exactly £100.
When I questioned this, I was told that I had requested my £250 deposit back and that this was why the car had been put back on the market. This is not what happened. My previous correspondence clearly shows that I had only requested the £100 holding fee at that stage. I only subsequently requested the return of the £250 deposit because of the way this whole situation had been handled and because I had lost confidence in proceeding with the purchase.
What has been particularly disappointing is the lack of clear communication. I had to repeatedly chase for information about my own money, while receiving little or no response to my emails.
I have kept the full email correspondence, so I can substantiate what I have been told and what I actually requested.
The issue isn't simply the £100 or £250 — it's the lack of transparency, communication and trust. Buying a car is a significant transaction, and this experience has made me very uncomfortable about dealing with this company.
I hope they resolve the outstanding refund properly, but based on my experience so far, I would not recommend Car Planet to others

Just bought a car…it’s going back! Not fit for purpose. I would avoid this garage.

Carplanet have the friendliest, authentic, and most helpful sales advisors and phone staff. Mo Malki was very patient with the sales process, from start to finish, and even stayed 45 mins past their closing time on a Sunday, to make sure I was happy with the sales agreement and discounts on the added extras. I would highly recommend Carplanet and Mo Malki especially. Thanks Mo.

As customer service goes, by far the worst experience of my entire life.
Not one member of staff who promised to follow up, did. "I will call you back." They never did. " I will answer all of your questions ". Never happened.
I visited the business on three occasions and only on one of those, I managed to view the vehicle in question! I followed their reservation rules, made an appointment for viewing, turned up, only to be told that the car isn't physically there, despite having several confirmation texts and phonecalls. Shocking!! These young people NEED an appropriate training in order to deliver customer service. I found the whole experience shocking, highly disrespectful and completely disorganised. Should you dare to point it out, they go into defensive mode, argue with you and have zero willingness to listen, let alone to acknowledge that an improvement is desperately required.

I wouldn’t trust this company.
I put my car up for auction with Carwow, and Car Planet was the highest bidder. Unfortunately, Carwow doesn’t disclose the bidder’s details until you’ve agreed to the offer. Had I known the winning bid was from Car Planet, I would have declined it, as I had previously heard some very poor reports about the company.
The inspector then came to assess the car. He repeatedly commented on how well I had looked after it and how good the bodywork was. However, when he plugged in his diagnostic machine, it supposedly detected a fault.
This came as a complete surprise to me because, just three days earlier, I had taken the car to Porsche for a full service. As part of that service, Porsche carried out a diagnostic check and reported no faults whatsoever.
I repeatedly questioned how I could be certain that the inspector’s diagnostic equipment was genuine and accurately identifying a fault. I even asked whether we could take the car to my local garage and have them plug in their own diagnostic equipment to verify the issue. He refused, saying he was running out of time.
He also claimed that his diagnostic machine was “high spec” and suggested that Porsche wouldn’t have carried out a proper diagnosis and would have used lower-quality equipment. I found that extremely difficult to believe and, frankly, quite laughable.
Despite the lack of any independent verification, the alleged fault was used to reduce the agreed price by £1,800.
The whole experience left me feeling that the process was designed to put the seller under pressure and maximise the buyer’s profit. If a fault genuinely exists, I would expect a company to be willing to verify it independently rather than simply rely on its own equipment and insist on an immediate £1,800 reduction.
Based on my experience, I would not sell my car to Car Planet again, and I would strongly recommend that anyone considering doing so carries out their own independent diagnostic check before agreeing to any price reduction.

1. First visit . Car is sold before test drive.
2. Put deposit on other car. Couldn’t test drive for 3 days.
3. Visited again after putting another deposit on different car. Due to their policies they couldn’t sell me that 2.00 litre car and offered me different car.
4. waited 4 hours for loan sanction. Sanctioned and signed but cancelled.
5. Asked us to leave for that day and offered us higher interest rate loan which we denied.
6 visited 2 times . Put deposit 2 times. Money is stuck and at the end with frequent deposits asked from us.
We still don’t have a car .. pity on us.

Recently enquired about a car and within minutes I had calls wanting me to come to the garage in Barnet to meet with the Financial person. After 3 phone calls & WhatsApp messages in the space of 30mins i declined on going to this garage & asked to remove my details from their system as i felt bombarded by calls & messages. 3 days later i still get a call to ask if i was making my appointment with their financial person, that i never made. Days later another call saying the car i was interested in was available. Starting to feel harassed with pushy sales people trying to sell a car i have CLEARLY said NO to they still want to keep calling. Pushy staff trying to sell & not listening to people on the phone saying remove my details off your system. This is 1 place to seriously avoid unless you like them to be this way towards you.

Recently sold my car to car planet via car wow!
Firstly assessor arrived and barring a VERY minor dent and some seatbelt scratches inside the door, which I genuinely missed, somehow this equated to a drop in price of £1200??
After a lot of haggling I accepted a drop of £800 from the auction price.
To top it off they are then supposed to collect the car within 48hrs. 110 hours and STILL waiting for it to be collected!
