Cancelon is lacking humanity during a crisis
I have called since yesterday on hold over an hour each time. I have gotten through twice after about 6 total hours.
They assured me they would process my cancellation but after speaking with the hotel 3 times today and yesterday nothing has been done.
Cancelon said they would send an email through their wholesale team. The hotel said that is not the process and cancelon understands the process because they have processed several cancellations from them already with a direct call.
This should not be that hard. The hotel has agreed they are waiving fees and allow cancelations due to the current situation and travel restrictions. Cancelon is making the process convoluted, not being responsive, and plain lack of humanity. This is over 1,000usd reservation and they are operating as a rogue business.

No one answers the phone...
After my convention was canceled I’ve been attempting to cancel my hotel reservation. My refund policy on the Cancelon voucher states I am still eligible for a refund. I’ve emailed Cancelon and have been calling for the last two days, but no one ever answers the phone. After one hour of holding, my connection is cut. This has happened multiple times.
*update- someone finally did answer and my reservation has been canceled with seemingly no issues. Refund issued 10 days from now. I believe they made it right, but honestly I’ll never use them again.

DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH CANCELON!!! We are in a National Pandemic and Disney World closed yesterday. In rescheduling (which could not be extended to our requested date), and then cancelling, they refused to reimburse our deposit of $260!! I told them this is professional suicide during a pandemic. I feel sorry for the employees who work for them and will have to find another job. Ridiculous!

Don't bother trying to call their service phone number. I've been on hold waiting for an agent for >20 minutes and never spoke to anyone. The site is impossible to navigate if you only did a one time booking and didn't set up a log in. I tried cancelling a booking 48 hours before my check in and couldn't find how to do it on the site and couldn't reach anyone at the service line to assist.

When I went to check in, Mandalay Bay could not find the reservation. They ultimately found it, but the name on the reservation name was misspelled.
Horrible service
Try to book a room put in the dates went to book and notice the wrong dates were inputed called immediately to try to correct and was told there was absolutely nothing they could do. Horrible experience that cost me $275 for nothing what a scam.
Kayak has been hyjacked by Cancelon - Beware
I booked a room through Kayak only to discover that the reservation was confirmed by a company called Cancelon. I have no idea who this company is and then I received several strange emails from them asking for my Kayak voucher. What I have now discovered is that this company Cancelon charged my credit card for the room which was never my intent. This company is fraudulent and horrible - thank God I used American Express and have instructed them I won't pay this bill.

They still charge cancellation fees even with the coronavirus epidemic and not being able to travel to destinations. Even though the location I was traveling to has declared a state of emergency and you are restricted from traveling Cancelon still enforces no refund policies. Wow great busy practice
So Far, So Good but a little nervous
I booked the hotel through Cancelon via Kayak. So far everything seems fine. However, they do make me a little nervous with the amount of follow-up they give. I received four emails regarding the reservation yesterday, and another one today. I definitely want follow-up, but the excessive nature makes me nervous that something is not on the up and up or something may go wrong. I also wish they didn't call the reservation a "Voucher". It made me feel like there was something else I had to do to redeem it, but I don't see any further instructions.

I waited an hour on the phone before being able to get my hotel room confirmation. That sort of customer service is really unacceptable. The person I finally spoke to was helpful. But otherwise this was a not good experience.
Cancellation Fees - Especially Problematic under Pandemic
I did not see the information on a charge for cancellation earlier than a day or two before the date; and contacted them to have the reservation cancelled (within 24 hours of the order) and find it particularly egregious in light of the current pandemic
Total scam artists
Total scam artists. Avoid at all costs. The conference I booked a room for was cancelled due to corona concerns. I asked for a refund because the actual reservation had not yet been made. They refused. I then tried to list the room for resell (their core business) and they refused because the room was refundable. So if it's refundable, why not refund?!?! After hours of fighting, I got nowhere. Someone needs to file a class action against these criminals.

Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. A conference which i was attending got canceled and the hotel was refunding the participants but I was still charged a cancellation fee through cancelon. All of the other guests were able to get a full refund if booked through the hotel itself. I had to call three separate times before calling the hotel myself which they informed me no one from the site reached out to them regarding my reservation.
