Amazing food, my dogs tummy has been so much better since taking advice and trying this food. Only recently changed and the change in him is really outstanding. If I could rate this food higher I would!

Been feeding this food for years to our family member, Ludo. Never had a problem and love the different recipe options. Thanks Canagan!

Repeating what has been said on a previous post. We have been using the Lamb kibble for 3-4 years and it has been amazing. However the recipe has changed without any warning on the bags. Our Labrador has had a bad stomach for weeks and has had really bad gas. We assumed it wasnt the food as Canagan hadnt told customers it had changed. We will need to try him on something new as this is proving a nightmare. Poor communication from Canagan.

My elderly dog, an Akita, has been having digestion problems for the last few months (even occasionally vomiting). Switched to Canagan a few weeks ago and it’s been brilliant. No more vomit, lovely shiny coat and he has so much more energy. Very happy with the product! Highly recommend!

The people at the pet shop recommended Canagan for my dog after he had some tummy problems... Been on it for a month now and so far so good! He's a much happier boy now 👍

My cats absolutely love Canagan, particularly the tins! Gobbled up in seconds, and they are fussy, sassy ragdolls!! The ingredients are premium and such a high quality!

We’ve been feeding Canagan for years and our pets are thriving. Recommend to any owner looking to give their pets the very best!

Swapped my 15yo tortie cat to the salmon dry food- it was a hit! Her previous biscuits she was leaving half of it most days and vomiting quite a lot. It’s pricier which is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars (8kg of her old food was about £30; 4kg of this was £48) but she’s definitely happier her coat is shinier and she’s not leaving food anymore. I would recommend this.

Our 3 cats adore Canagan! We use the wet and dry kibble for our girls and they are always ready for when it’s food time. As soon as they hear us grab the food they are meowing and exciting to eat. We also had a few questions before switching to this brand and the customer service team was super helpful and very knowledgeable with their product. They truly guided us in the right direction and are passionate about pets and their diets!

We switched our Golden Retriever to Canagan about 4 months ago now and we’ve never been so happy with a product! We’ve noticed such a positive difference with his diet and every day life. His coat is so healthy and shiny. His stools are even so much better from the old food we were feeding him. Over all, Canagan has been the perfect choice for our dog!

Having recently adopted a fairly wild cat we struggled to find the right food for him. We came across Canagan after meeting a local representative in a pet store. Their knowledge and passion really came across so we gave their wet food a go and have never looked backed. He absolutely loves the Tuna and Chicken wet food and also the chicken treats. Being outside in all conditions we have really noticed a significant improvement in his coat. We have recently also tried the Scottish Salmon dry food when we are at work and his bowl is often empty!!! Great product.

My dog adores Canagan food and won’t eat anything else now. It’s the best food she has ever had. At 11 years old she has a healthy shiny coat, is still full of energy and her teeth are in great shape eating the Small Breed Dental dry food topped with a small amount of the canned Canagan wet food. Thoroughly recommend!

After suffering with terrible ears since we rescued our girl, we swopped her onto Canagan salmon. Wow, no more itchy ears, no runny poo and even better no more Apoquel. Fantastic food, just wish I had tried it sooner

Started our puppy on Canagan at 5 months old, he loved the food and his coat looked glossy. Couldn’t make any complaints about Canagan until recently. Our dog is now 2 and in the past 6 weeks (started beginning of March) we have had endless problems with him being sick, loose stools, scooting, bad wind, straining to go to the toilet and blood in his stool to the extent of it just being pure jelly blood. Awful to watch your family dog go through this. Vet bills now over £300 due to prescription food/antibiotics/vet fees as thought it was gastroenteritis or colitis. Each time he had Hills biome food within a day his stools were fine and no blood. Every time we went back on Canagan, blood returned within 48hrs. He also started scratching and biting all over.
We had enough and read up about Canagan moving to a Germany based manufacturing company. We checked the bags, all previous UK based with no issues until the last bag was Germany based, greasy inside the bag and extra smelly. We went to the local pet store (we live in a very small town) and they said we were the 3rd person this week who had told them this and experienced the same. We switched brands straight away and so far our dog seems happier with normal stools again.
We are so disappointed as he was doing so well on Canagan.
Canagan, please check what is happening in Germany as it is making some of our dogs very unwell. What has changed? Ingredients from another source that isn’t such high quality? Finishing agent at the end sprayed on to the kibble changed?

--- Note Canagan's fake reviews appearing in droves over a short space of time after valid issues/critiques of recent formula change ---
Bought my elder dog up on Canagan's after doing extensive research to ensure he was getting a good quality dog food years ago when we adopted him.
Recently he and our new younger dog have had upset stomachs, loose poos and dark black poo as if there is blood in the stool.
Upon looking around for a new food to switch them on to, I came across the fact Canagan has changed their manufacturing location to Germany, having previously been made in the UK, which explains why the kibble in the latest bag looked different (darker) and size a little different to normal.
Having seen other recent comment over social media and other review sites, it seems others have the same recent experience of dogs being unwell or worse off on Canagan after being fine for years.
Looking to move brands as clearly the quality has nose dived recently.
Edit - Response to Canagan - Nowhere was the end user advised that any change occurred, take some responsibility to the many people who have fed back who had issues and stop dodging the fact there is a problem. Already moved over to a new brand and seeing better health for both dogs. Never would go back to using Canagans again.

*** Edited - Moved from a 3* to 1* initially gave a 3* because of the good yrs we had with Canagans. However, moved down as Canagans are failing to be honest or acknowledge to customers about the recent changes that are impacting cats and dogs. Looking at the trend of reviews, it seems they are buying or getting employees to write 5* reviews to cover up the issues.
Been feeding Canagans for 6yrs now, has been great until recently. Our older dog is getting a gargling belly and refusing to eat. Our younger dog has a terrible smelling bottom. Both have been straining when going to the toilet. We only realised it might be the food when we changed and gave them a bag of fish Canagans for a month all these things went away. Now back on the normal chicken all above issues seem to be back. It's made us look on all about dogs food and here and it looks like others are experiencing the same so we will be changing there food to a different brand.

Have been feeding canagan grass fed lamb to our dog for 5 years with no issues. But lately we have noticed the kibble is different in appearance and size and the dog has become gassy which has never happened before, gets a gurgling tummy, and her poos now stink. Sadly we won’t be buying Canagan anymore as it has changed and is no longer the quality product we were used to.
