Not a Canadian company.

I chose this company believing the good reviews, assistance with design, they are located in Toronto, Ontario and the patches would be made in Canada. It seems that they use AI to communicate, based on the way the responses essentially repeat what it thinks your current message said, without considering all the communication leading up to that. It only responds to the first part of your message. It was very frustrating getting help with design, you essentially have to do it yourself. They sent a proof showing dimensions of 3" x 4.5 " which is the required size, but the finished product was only 1.5" x 4.5". I paid $210 for 10 patches that do not meet the requirements. Refund request was denied. Attempts to get useful patches for this investment resulted in one of the first name only customer service reps telling me to stop reitterating the same points and if I want a patch the size I ordered I would have to start a new design for which they would give a good discount. There is no more money to spend on this. The best they would do to fix their error was stretch the image to 3" high, deforming the logo. The mutilated logo on the replacement patches angered the owner and got me fired. The worst thing of all is that I thought I was supporting Canadian business but the patches were made in and shipped from another country far from here! THIS IS NOT A CANADIAN COMPANY.

Never informed that my design could not be produced at the size ordered

I ordered custom embroidered patches at 2" × 2" because they were intended for a knitted hat. During the design process we exchanged several emails discussing artwork details and revisions.

I am writing this review of CanadaPatches.ca so other customers understand how my custom patch order was handled.

What I only learned after receiving the patches is that the company claims the design could not actually be produced at that size due to technical limitations.

The problem is that this was never communicated to me during the design process. Instead of informing me that they technically could not produce my patches at the size I ordered, they proceeded with the project and simply increased the size to just over 4 inches.

If I had been notified, I would have had the option to:

• Simplify the artwork so it could work at the requested size
• Be informed of the size requirements needed to accommodate the existing artwork (I still do not know whether 4 inches was the minimum required for my design or simply an arbitrary size they chose)
• Cancel the order

As a result, I received patches twice the size I ordered, which cannot be used for their intended purpose. This size is even too large for baseball hats.

What was particularly frustrating was the response I received when I raised the issue. Rather than acknowledging the lack of communication, the responsibility was placed on me for not noticing the size change in the technical proof. My focus during the proof stage was on the artwork revisions we had been discussing, and it never occurred to me that the entire project size had been changed without explanation.

Another point worth mentioning is that although the company presents itself as CanadaPatches.ca, my order was actually shipped from Pakistan, which was unexpected given the branding and website name.

A professional custom patch vendor should clearly communicate production limitations and provide options before proceeding with an order. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.

Based on my experience with CanadaPatches.ca, I would recommend that customers confirm the exact production size before approving any proof.

For the new patches for our bike club…

For the new patches for our bike club Canada Patches was a huge help. We needed something durable that wouldn't break down after a few rides, and wow these things have withstood everything from beer spills at the clubhouse to highway speeds. The edges didn't curl the colors remained vibrant, and when I made a mistake with our order they quickly and easily fixed it. After viewing our ideas half of the men in our chapter have placed orders for their own unique creations.
