From the website, I got the impression that I could call a US number for 3p per minute. However a fifty minute phone call cost me £16 and I'd tried it three times previously but got no reply and was charged £1.07. Apparently BT charges to an 084 number charge 29.58p per minute access. This was not explained on the call to call website.
Why don't you provide a no stars option? Total dissatisfaction isn't worth 1 star!! Exactly the same problems as mentioned but only now came across these reviews. Instead of the £5 advertised I have been charged £6.30 and like the others get a continuous dial tone when trying to call the overseas number. However, the message said I have a £5 credit (despite being charged £6.30) although after the failed attempts of calling it is now £4.96! So they're even taking money from my calling card despite it not working! Also no result from calling their "non-existent" customer services who are available 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri but obviously not during the numerous times time that I called which was between the customer services opening times and simply get a message "we are sorry but we are unable to answer your call at the moment..." I thought that I had used call2call previously but obviously mistaken!
I'm in the process of reporting the website to NCS Centre so if you have experienced the same problems, do the same so this website doesn't continue to scam, or at the very least are not able to sell a service that they are unable to provide.
Trustpilot don't allow links in reviews but it is easy enough to search under National Cyber Security Centre (ncsc) and in the search bar type "report a scam website"
Sadly the same experience as Alan. Paid £5.00 for credit on 8/9/2023 and was given a PIN. Seems simple, having done this dial the Manchester access line and enter your PIN, credit confirmed, dial the overseas number and then it all goes wrong. Continuous tone for 10 seconds then cut off. Retried many times. Customer services are never available and do not reply to messages left. Either a scam or the company has serious issues.
Totally scammed me. Said they would take £5 but took £7. Then I couldn't dial the number, just said call failed every time. Total scammers.
