Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many people find the service easy to use, appreciating its ability to automate scheduling and integrate with other calendars, which saves them time and effort. Customers often highlight its effectiveness for one-on-one meetings and its flexibility in managing availability. The booking process is generally seen as straightforward for clients, making it easier for them to schedule appointments. However, some people were dissatisfied with the customer service, describing it as unhelpful and unresponsive to issues. There are also concerns about the website and user experience, with some finding the interface confusing, not intuitive, or experiencing issues with syncing and notifications. A few other people also felt that the service is cumbersome for team meetings or specific regional bookings, like those in the UK, where it reportedly provides incorrect time slots.

No help from Support

I have been trying to have events scheduled on a specific calendar and despite selecting that calendar, it continues to be put on the wrong calendar. I have talked to Support 3 times, and have been emailed by them completely unhelpful communication and my situation is still not resolved. I have been trying to get their help to resolve this for 3 weeks now and no resolution.

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service! I tried to canceled my paid subscription less than 7 days, because I couldn't get support. Customer support refused to refund my money. Customer support agreed that reduce my service to free. However, they charged me another $130 for this year. Despite my several messages to Customer support they have totally ignored me. I guess they don't plan to refund my money again. I will file a dispute with my bank and report this business to the Better Business Bureau.
Do yourself a favor LEAVE THEM ALONE!

This will mess up your time zones - DO NOT USE!

Horrific excuse for an app - this should be banned. If you create an event for a specific time zone and save it, it will automatically revert that time zone to whatever timezone you were in when you created it. NEVER try to use this to schedule with people - it has created disasters for people over and over.

Calendly has a fatal flaw in its system…

Calendly has a fatal flaw in its system that affects UK-based bookings — every single UK prospect gets the wrong time slot. This bug has cost our business approximately 10 clients per week. We’ve raised the issue multiple times, and each time, we’re brushed off with generic, unhelpful responses.

There’s no escalation path, no accountability, and no interest from their senior team. It feels like they operate from ivory towers, entirely disconnected from customer pain. With so many cheaper, better-supported alternatives available, we strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Very poor experience.

System clunky and counter-intuitive

I find the system clunky and non-user intuitive. Can’t easily edit things on the app and when I cancelled, I still got charged the following month. Horrible experience and disingenuous customer “service”.

I love Calendly

I love Calendly. I need a low friction way for board members and association members and outside people to be able to book zoom meetings with me. Calendly lets me limit how many meetings of a certain type get booked in a day, so I can't have my "open door policy" association member meetings fill up my day but they can all find a time another day, without me having to know anything about it.

I have more than one person I need to…

I have more than one person I need to be able to make appointments for. I need to be able set or allow a client to set (online) an appointment with anyone of my team members at a time wherein any of the other team members already have an appointment at that time. I need to see all of those appointments for all team members on one and only one actual calendar.
It seem you're not set up for use by a team or multiple appointments at the same date and time with different team members for each of those appointments

AlphaGeo Review of Calendly

AlphaGeo Review of Calendly – May 2025
As a business operating across technical sales, field demonstrations, and distributor coordination, Calendly has proven to be a valuable scheduling tool for AlphaGeo.

✅ What Works Well
Time Saver for Demo Scheduling
We regularly organise demo calls and remote support sessions with partners, clients, and suppliers. Calendly removes the back-and-forth of “What time works for you?” emails. It syncs with our Google Calendar, preventing double bookings and saving time.

Professional Appearance
When prospects or suppliers receive a link ll, it gives a polished impression. It’s a simple tool, but it shows we’ve got our act together.

Buffer Times & Meeting Types
The ability to add buffer times between meetings and create different types of meetings (e.g. 15-min call, 1-hour product demo, etc.) is particularly helpful in preventing back-to-back burnout and helps us stay sharp during technical sessions.

Time Zone Detection
Essential when dealing with manufacturers in Asia or clients in the US. Calendly automatically adjusts based on the visitor's location, which has saved us from confusion and missed calls.

⚠️ Limitations
Limited Custom Branding on Lower Tiers
The free and lower-tier paid plans are functional but don’t allow full brand customisation (logo, colours). For a business looking to reinforce the AlphaGeo brand in every client interaction, that’s a limitation unless we’re willing to upgrade.

No Native CRM Integration (Without Paying Up)
We use a secure CRM system. Integrating Calendly directly requires a Pro-level subscription or workarounds using Zapier. That adds cost and complexity if you want it to auto-update contacts or lead entries.

No Group Availability Logic
When scheduling with multiple team members (e.g. sales + tech support), Calendly doesn’t handle complex logic like “find a time when Adrian and Steve are available” unless you’re using the more expensive team plan.

🧩 Use Case Fit for AlphaGeo
For AlphaGeo’s operations—balancing sales calls, demos, post-sale support, and partner onboarding—Calendly is worth it. It improves our responsiveness and lets clients engage with us on their terms, without clogging inboxes.

That said, we treat it as a scheduling layer, not a CRM. It’s useful for booking—but the real sales flow still happens in email, CRM, and follow-up calls.

Verdict: 8.5/10
Calendly is a clean, efficient tool that adds professionalism and saves admin time. It’s not perfect, and the value peaks at the mid-tier subscription level, but for a lean, responsive business like AlphaGeo—it gets the job done.

Absolutely disgusting approach

Absolutely disgusting approach, I'm trying to contact them to cancel my subscription as I haven't used their services for months, however they have restricted the account login because you can only log in through a Google account that no longer exists. All I get in response are robotic messages that lead nowhere and I'm stumped. Ended up having to block their payment via credit card. Advice to others, don't work with companies that don't care about their users at all!

6+ years of usage and going strong

Saves me at least 30-45 minutes a day of back and forth meeting scheduling. Time savings are magnified when you invite your team and set up "collective" meetings, which automatically consider the schedules of 2+ people. Love the integrations with Gmail and Chrome so that my links are always at my fingertips.

Small Nonprofit Loves Calendly

I am the director of a Mikveh outside of Philadelphia. The scheduling for its use often requires coordination among many people from the tri-state area (PA-NJ-DE) and beyond. Also, we now have the Calendly link on our website so anyone who wants to can schedule an appointment whenever they want. It makes my job so much easier and I am thrilled.

Calendly is easy to use but...

Calendly is easy to use, but it isn't compatible with Apple Calendar. If you can fix that, it would be a GREAT app. But it is forcing me to consider consolidating everything into Google Calendar, which has a Calendly-like booking capability. Frustrating. But if it's a cheaper solution, worth considering. Calendly, I don't want to break up with you. But I may have no choice if you stay incompatible with Apple Calendar.
