I ordered a 16th birthday cake for my daughter to be delivered and it didn’t turn up. When calling the next day, they said they had changed names and that the order had to be sorted with the new named company that took over. There is no such company.

The cheescake tasted really good, however I asked them to write Happy Birthday on the cake and was warned that it may melt and it disappeared when I opened it later on in the day which was disappointing. Maybe you should say to the customers there is no point in writing a message as it won't stick

Ordered online at Epsom store. Went to collect the cakes for our daughter’s birthday and the shop is now an independent cake shop and they do not have our order. Cakes and bakes never contacted us or told us what would happen and have also not refunded us. So depending on your opinion, this is blatant fraud and the company should be shut down.

Was excellent

The cake wasn't at Epsom when I went to collect it as they are no longer part of the franchise - noting this was for a special birthday. They were very unhelpful. I have what's apped and sent emails and called and nobody have responded just told me I need to send a complaint. The cake did arrive at my door even though it was collection and it was all damaged so I sent it away. DO NOT USE this company

Too much cream and the cake was dry

Ver bad experience, I got insulted by the cake design and taste at my guests . They come with one hour delay and the design is totally terrible because it is not at all matching what I asked. I added the pic what I asked and what they gave.

And the customer service is very worst and I have been chasing them from 15 days no response and they took payment upfront.

I would suggest not to choose Cakes and Bakes and recommended at all.

I want to go legally if they not respond in 2 days.

Warning!!! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Food safety issue – suspected worm/larva found in chocolate cake.
Have already emailed with evidence but no reply on matter nor they are taking it seriously.

We ordered Black forest cake for our son's and daughter's birthday party . The cake was delicious, rich in flavour and perfectly baked . Everyone loved it .Thank you Cakes and Bake Derby Normanton.

Horrible experience. Factory forgot to put a writing on top of the cake (lotus biscoff cheescake). When collecting, shop stuff refused to decorate/put writing on. The cake was unedible, had to through it away. The crust was 2.5 inches high ( very strange) and rock hard, I have even asked my husband to cut it applying enormous strength. There was no taste of biscoff, just sweet, ingredients tasted cheep and artificial. My daughter ( cake was for her Birthday) was dissapointed and cried.

My mother ordered a Baby Shower cake for my sister in law and it was an amazing cake…..Design and decorations were superb. 👌….I highly recommend this confectionery company….Thank you Cakes and Bakes for making our family celebration so special. 👍

A company that doesn’t own its mistakes & has no respect for customers.

I have ordered birthday cakes for 3 years from this company. Never again.
I ordered a football cake (Liverpool) for my 8 year old son, cakes&bakes confirmed all piping would be red. When it arrived it was all pink. We contacted the company that evening & again the next morning to try to get it resolved before his party in the afternoon. We kept getting messages saying they would get back to us in 2 hours, which they did not. We got 2 eggless cakes elsewhere at an additional cost of £35 as we couldn’t use the cake they had delivered. I spoke with them this week & raised a complaint with pictures of cake & correspondence. They have responded with a formal email from head office quoting their policy (As per our policy, outlined on our website, any concerns must be reported within 5 hours of delivery with supporting pictures, and cakes must be returned with at least 90% remaining within 2 hours of delivery for review). Hard to do this, when despite raising it with them they kept fobbing us off, saying someone would contact us within 2 hours. They offered zero compensation. Having read other reviews, it is clear they take no ownership for their mistakes. Pathetic customer service.

The rainbow cake was really good, fresh and soft. Everyone enjoyed it a lot.
One feedback though - the birthday message was not readable as was written with white cream on silver base Thank you !

Never ever order anything from them! Stay away from this fraud company. I ordered a cake for my twins birthday to arrive on the eve of the special occasion. They made the cake double the size I ordered, ie Instead of 10*14inch they made 14*20inch (the box was 62cm by 62cm) - which I was not able to fit in the fridge. Given the cake contains cream we thought it would be unsafe to eat it after more than 24hrs in a room temperature. The cake went to waste.
This company is not willing to take responsibility for making the mistakes - wrong size cake. They are a bunch of fraudsters as they dont want to issue a refund for a wrong product.
After I read their review I realised that I am not the only UNHAPPY CUSTOMER! it’s the way they do things. Dont trust them and avoid at any cost! They are quick to sell but there is no customer care!

Unfortunately I cant say anything about the cake because I never got the cake i ordered and wen I went to collect it nobody new about my order days prior to my personalised order for my sisters birthday awaiting a refund

I ordered online and when I got to the shop the attendant handed the cake to me with no inscription on it.

I was charge more online. Same cake cheaper in the shop.

Great cakes best in the high street

New Orpington shop. Carrot cake was delicious. Biscoff cake and Cookie and Cream egg-feee slice were pretty much tasteless. The small 99p tasters were a good idea but very average in terms of taste; very disappointing because they looked nice (pumpkin spice, rainbow and the brownies). Shop very clean and friendly staff. Will be returning but maybe only for the carrot cake and to try the coffee.

I Ordered last minute, in the morning, the cake was made and delivered very quickly. The cake looks beautiful. First time ordering here I will be ordering again. 🤤
