This has got to be one of the worst…

This has got to be one of the worst experiences I've had buying online.The order was placed over a month ago only to receive a cancellation email today.I did receive several emails confirming the order had been despatched 2 weeks later I questioned the order only to be told it had been returned to there store and the order canceled a refund is on its way apparently let's hope its quicker than a month.

I rarely lDamaged & Incomplete Product – No Responsibility Takeneave negative reviews

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing and needs to be shared.

First of all, the product I received was damaged and missing essential components. A friend of mine brought it from Italy to my country, and unfortunately I was only able to inspect it properly on the 10th day after purchase. By that time, I discovered not only visible damage but also that important parts — including the attachment components and the rain cover — were completely missing.

I understand that this may fall outside the standard return window, and I can accept that the company might refuse a late return as a precaution against fraud. However, this situation goes beyond a simple return request. The product is incomplete and unusable, which clearly indicates that it should never have been shipped in this condition.

What is even more disappointing is the company’s attitude. Suggesting that the damage might have occurred during transport, or implying that either I or my friend are not being truthful, is extremely unprofessional and frankly insulting.

Let me be very clear:

It is impossible for me to “lose” built-in components like attachment parts and a rain cover.
It is equally unrealistic that careful transport in a suitcase would cause stitching to come undone.
These issues were clearly present before the product was delivered.

This is not just about poor quality control — it is about lack of accountability. Sending a defective and incomplete product is one thing, but refusing to take responsibility and shifting blame onto the customer is unacceptable.

I strongly advise potential buyers to think twice before purchasing from this company. Based on my experience, they may send you a faulty product and then refuse to stand behind it.

We are sincerely sorry for what happened; however, we would like to clarify a few important points. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for additional shipments or handling after the initial delivery. In your case, the product was further transported from Italy to Turkey, which is entirely outside of our control.

Furthermore, our policies — clearly stated at the time of purchase — specify that any claims regarding defective products must be made within a defined timeframe. Once this period has passed, we are unable to open a claim or process a return.

We would also like to highlight that Trip Machine is one of our most reliable suppliers, with an almost zero defect and return rate. All products are checked before shipment.

Regarding the mounting straps, these are always included inside the bag. However, during international transport and multiple handlings, small components may be misplaced if proper care is not taken.

We understand your frustration, but in this case we are unable to take further action.

I ordered a exhaust for my bike

I ordered a exhaust for my bike . After a pretty long delivery time I finally got the item . The pipe had dents and was fully rusted on the inside . The store mailed a return slip with FedEx . I drove one hour to the drop off location and got a notification the value of the shipment is too high and can not be accepted. I drove to the local post office and paid 25,- to ship . They never offered a refund for the shipping cost . I don't like to write this but I dealt with Italien companies before and they all suck , period . Customer service is a joke . Do yourself a favor and don't order anything.

Reply to seller :

First check your stated shipping time frame with reality.
Second I sent you a picture of the message I got at the FedEx kiosk. They did not accept the shipment!!!!
Third my comment about dealing with companies in Italie comes from experience. Unfortunately. As you can see in your response you just don't get it . Yes I rather spent 25,- Euros to ship the part back then using a free service . You guys are insane and don't take any responsibility, period .

we are truly sorry that the product you received was damaged. For this very reason, as clearly stated in our policies, we always offer a free return service, which is exactly what we provided to you from the very beginning.

In addition, we also offered to replace the product at our expense, with no additional cost to you. Despite this, you decided to cancel the order, a decision that we of course respected.

Regarding the exhaust system you purchased, we would like to clarify that this is a UK-made product sold on a made-to-order basis, as clearly stated on the product page at the time of purchase. For this reason, delivery times are longer, as the shipment must pass through customs twice (UK → EU).

As for the shipping costs you decided to pay independently, we would like to point out that a free return via FedEx had already been correctly arranged by our customer service. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for decisions made independently at alternative shipping points that were not agreed upon with us.

Finally, we find the general and offensive statements regarding Italian companies to be inappropriate. From our side, we have always acted with transparency, professionalism, and willingness to help, offering multiple concrete solutions to resolve the issue in the best possible way.

Truly awful

Honestly, I can't quite explain how bad my experience with Cafetwin has been, their delivery to the UK is so badly managed.

I ordered an item in June and over two weeks later I had to get in touch to ask for information about the shipping as the tracking they'd sent had never updated. They promised I should hear back soon. Skip another week or two and I chase further and they say they'll look into it. They then get in touch to say it's been held up in customs and I need to pay a charge (I never had any communication about this and wouldn't have had I not chased this). Another week or two later I look at the tracking and it says the courier attempted delivery but it couldn't be delivered (and flags as an issue with the address). I fill out the request for redelivery and input my full address and it shows again two days later as more failed attempts despite me having been home and no attempt made.

I then refill the form and request for it to go to a local post office for collection, get a confirmation email yet when I check back in a few days it flags attempted redelivery to my flat but couldn't be delivered due to address issue again. I look back at the original courier delivery attempt and notice my flat number wasn't supplied to the courier and just the building number was.

I try to email Cafetwin about it and received blunt replies with no attempt to support me in receiving my item. They then say it's a courier issue and I need to take it up with them (the courier website has no easy way to contact / discuss and they don't answer the phone when you do find a number to call).

£200+ later (wasted), I don't have the item, the courier now claims to have delivered it and have supplied a photo of the box sat on a step with no identifiable location in the photo and the parcel is no where to be seen in mine or neighbouring buildings.

Absolute waste of money, incredibly long and painful delivery process, no item delivered and no support from the business to rectify the situation.

Great customer support

I received the wrong package due to a mishap from DPD. I contacted their customer support, who asked for pictures. After confirming the shipping label was theirs, they offered to send me a replacement without any additional cost. Great service, and one I will use again in the future.
