Listing Price Not Honored / Undisclosed Shipping Surcharge

I attempted to purchase a Casio GW-S5600U-1JF from this seller after their website listed the watch at $198 shipped to the USA.

I paid the initial invoice for $198. The seller then contacted me stating there was confusion regarding the exact watch model number, and refunded the payment without consulting me.

After clarifying that it was and had been the correct model all along, they issued a new invoice for $228, adding a $30 “distant area” shipping surcharge that was not disclosed on the original listing or invoice.

At no point prior to checkout was this surcharge indicated. So I cancelled the transaction.

The pricing inconsistency and undisclosed surcharge added unnecessary friction and undermined my trust in them as a dealer.

Sellers should never engage in cancel-and-surcharge scams like this. Caveat emptor!
