We are using ByteScout cloud APIs, it's easy to integrate and well documented.
Right now we have used pdf conversion and we found it very good.
The 'Pay as you Go' plan is good for those who prefer not to depend on a Subscription Plan.
I was looking for a solution to extract a pdf table into xls. I had several notes added on the side of the table which made it hard to extract a clean table. A friend recommended that I try the PDF Multitool because it supports rectangular selection and outputs in xls. I tried it and boy I loved the result. The tool also comes with so many useful utilities. I'm using their freeware right now and I owe it to the developers to give them a 5 star for a job well done.

Used the BarCode Reader software from ByteScout. The program is lightweight and installed without a hitch. I did have a bit of trouble trying to understand the many functions, but this could be of my limited knowledge with barcodes and programming in general. Interface could be a bit more user-friendly for beginners, but it will do the trick so it gets 4 stars.
