This review is for Customer Service. My son would have been finished with his treatment in January. He is 4 sets away from being finished, and I cannot get Byte to send the remaining aligners.
I paid in full before beginning this process, and I don’t see why we weren’t given our complete treatment. We are given the run around from Byte, and I’ve done the same steps SO many times with no progress made. It’s extremely frustrating! Here we are half through April with no end in sight.

Now my son's upper retainer has broken in 2 places. We have contacted Byte many, many times before this and they keep giving us the run around.
This is literally their response "Good news, your aligners are at the manufacturers and will be shipped to you in the next 1-2 weeks" I have received this same email every 2 weeks since January, and guess what NEVER shows up? The aligners that I have paid for in full.
Before December, I was extremely happy with the results that we saw for my son, and we have 4 more kids that will need aligners in the future. I WOULD have happily stayed with Byte for my remaining children, but not now. I'm at my wits end, and at this point I think that I will be pursuing legal action.

DO NOT USE BYTE!!! I am 2 years into treatment and they asked for dental records and I have been trying to get them to them since JANUARY, it's APRIL! They refuse to call my dentist to clarify what they need and take weeks between to respond to my emails. They are trying to wear me down so I just give up on treatment. Horrible service. Aligners crack if you are stuck in them until they can send new ones, and charge you for it even if they are the ones delaying treatment. DON'T DO IT! Go somewhere else!

We purchased aligner treatment program for $1875. It went well for my 16 year old daughter till the retainer at the end took a few weeks to get and her top teeth went back to where they started.
The told us to by the protection plan for another $700. To send new aligners same thing happened again teeth went back to beginning.
They said sorry she doesn't qualify for any more aligners. They aren't trying to resolve this problem. Once they get your money they could care less.
I'm going to try a better company with good customer satisfaction

Waste of money, time, and effort. Made it through the first set of aligners with drama and issues and then the last three that were sent cracked, didn’t fit, and I was not able to complete after emails and customer support chats. Then I received a safety warning to visit the dentist because their process wasn’t 100% and there could be further issues. Sad that I’m out of the money I paid for nothing to be achieved.

Absolute scam/waste of money. They are being sued for a reason. Save yourself the waste of money and hassle and just go to a real dentist/orthodontist. Lost out on over 3K (and discomfort, time, and energy to use their bad product) with no results at all and they will not respond to refund requests. They also demand you go to a dentist despite the fact that their whole business plan is at home aligners/convenience. Wish I would have read more reviews before purchasing.

Do not under any circumstances buy anything from Byte. So I’ve had braces before and I didn’t wear my retainer. I figured I only had minor shifting so mail in aligners could do the job. Spoiler alert- they can’t. So they first sent me 12 sets. Went through them exactly as instructed but my teeth weren’t straight. So I email them, say hey my teeth aren’t straight in way more words than that and they send me 3 more sets. I do that 2 more times. I’ve now done 18 sets and they want more dental info. So, I go to the dentist for a cleaning and ask them for the info there. They tell me about another client they have who had a god awful experience with Byte and is now in aligners with them to fix what Byte messed up. He also showed me how my teeth need moving down which Byte aligners can’t do. Essentially, I’d need attachments and rubber bands to get my teeth where I want them. And guess what? Byte didn’t tell me any of that. They just took my money and sent me aligners and I was none the wiser. This was a huge mistake to buy from them. Please do not do what I did. Now I’m trying to get a refund from them but their customer service is god awful as well. I made multiple phone calls and left a voicemail and nobody has gotten back to me and I’ve emailed them. I can update this review later hopefully once this is sorted. So now I’ll have to do another orthodontic treatment in person with someone who actually knows what they’re doing and I wasted a year of my life and a couple grand. This company is a scam. Even if you think you just have minor crowding that could be fixed easily like I did, do NOT cheap out on orthodontic treatment.

I am pretty frustrated with Byte’s technical issues with their app and website. I have used their aligners for a while now, and for a long time I haven’t been able to upload check-ins even though I updated the app. I stopped bothering with that because it was a waste of time, the lingers still worked. Now, my ultrasonic cleaner started glitching and turning on and off, not effectively cleaning my retainers, and I contacted support. They made me aware that I had to sign a safety form prior to receiving help so I logged in, signed a docusign form and clicked continue, as prompted to do so, which told me it was completed. I went back to the chat and they kept saying they couldn’t help me until I signed it. After telling them I signed it already and I literally have 0 alerts on my page, they STILL said on their end, I haven’t signed it and they can’t help me. Just wasted a good 30 minutes and I’m still left with a broken cleaner. I might as well buy a cheaper one on Amazon since this company states no refunds or returns on their own product. Thank you for reading, I truly hope this company can toubleshoot their technological issues.

Updated: when contacted they still gave me the same answers and that they couldnt help me or give a refund, however I could resume treatment (the treatment that is responsible for damaging my teeth to begin with). Customer service has been extremely unhelpful throughout treatment and now trying to get resolution. // I started treatment in 2022 and the estimated timeframe was less than a year. In late 2024 I was told by my dentist to discontinue treatment immediately as the treatment was damaging my teeth and bone integrity. I requested a refund in order to pursue further care/correction for the damage done to my teeth, which is estimated over $4000. Byte refused a refund stating that I had completed treatment and received aligners. Despite previous emails detailing treatment was not complete, byte refuses to issue a refund. I consulted with an orthodontist and was told they routinely get clients from online aligner companies (like Byte) looking to correct treatment caused by their aligners. What was supposed to be a cost effective way of bettering my teeth has turned into a nightmare, financially and physically and I'm unsure how I will be able to correct these issues now. Stay far away.

Byte was honestly a total waste of time and money. For anyone considering byte, if you have insurance just go with a more legitimate orthodontic treatment like Invisalign. It’s 50% more but will actually get you the results you’re looking for unlike these.
Byte has been an all around bad experience for me. I had just a couple of misalignment and 1 spacing issue I wanted to fix that had come up from my teeth shifting after my first braces treatment, and the Byte aligners weren’t able to fully correct any of my issues. I still have some minor misalignment and a small gap, and tried to get additional aligners sent but apparently my “smile” guarantee has expired, so they will no longer send me aligners unless I pay another $1,000. At that point it will have cost me the same as Invisalign so I should’ve just done that. It has been a nightmare communicating with Byte, they take a week plus to respond each time you email them and request so much information from you each time. Lastly I got the nightly aligners which were more expensive and wore them more than I needed to and still didn’t see te results I was promised. These aligners are insanely bulky and uncomfortable, and just aren’t worth it. Save yourself the trouble and spend a little extra to not have to deal with these guys.

Their byte for life guarantee is a scam. They sell it as a “covers almost anything” but then weasel out and want more money. The product itself is a joke and I’m pretty sure it’s a scam top to bottom based on their current lawsuits.
Edit: I did contact them and they hand waved a lot and solved nothing. Buyer beware.

I waited until finishing treatment (and receiving my retainers) to leave a review. I had a pretty good experience with Byte. I started treatment in May 2024 and finished by December. I began the process of requesting a kit and creating impressions at the beginning of May and by the end of the month I received my first set of aligners. I used nightly aligners - 9 weeks lower and 27 weeks upper and would consider my case to be moderate in terms of alignment issues.
The only times I needed to reach out to the byte support team were to request my second set of top aligners and for a minor issue with one of my lower teeth at the end of treatment. I received my second set of aligners less than 2 weeks after submitting the request on week 13. They also sent me 4 “touch up” aligners to correct the one lower tooth for free without having to do additional impressions (bottom tooth still isn’t perfect, but close enough). I personally thought the support team was very responsive throughout the entire treatment process. They replied to my emails within 1-2 days and the one time I called I was able to speak to someone within 10 minutes. I also used the text/chat feature on the app a few times and was able to text with a real person within a few minutes. I was afraid to request touch up aligners for my top teeth at the end of treatment with everything going on with the company and requesting patients see a dentist. I was afraid they wouldn’t send me my retainers. My teeth aren’t perfect, but overall I’m happy with the results and feel like I got my money’s worth. But Byte.. if you’re seeing this and would be willing to send me some touch up aligners for my top teeth please let me know!!

Absolutely terrible. It took me over 2 years to get my teeth "done" and they weren't quite straight (better though). It's now taking 2 weeks to hear back from support, because the online system is charging me for my retainers, that are supposed to be free at first. When I actually receive a response, it has nothing to do with what I was asking. I sent them an email 2 months ago about the fact that the app is charging me for the retainers. After 4 emails, over 2 months, the last reply suggested that I use the app to order them. Wow

Run, run, run. Unless you want a very long experience with no results do not waste your time with this company. You can rarely get a response and when you do it’s the same thing they responded to the last time, and that takes months. You know what doesn’t take anytime - them collecting your money. I’ve been trying to get replacement retainers for over a year and all l get is the same start-at-the-beginning run around. Should have known better after the 1st run-around. Will go a real clinician next time.

Paid $$$ up front - sent me lotsa things but aligners did not fit properly, cracked a crown - and when I contacted them about the problem they sent me another impression kit and never sent the new ones. Then I tried to contact them...they cancelled my account and sent the following:
