Impossible to cancel
I’ve tried to cancel several times but always comes up as “no subscription found” despite using the number on the letter they sent me. I’ve tried to reset my account password multiple times but no reset email ever comes through to my email address (even junk). The magazine I’m subscribed to ‘Your Home’ isn’t even on their list of magazines despite the letter directing me to use the Buy Subscriptions website to manage my account. I’ve now been charge for two extra Direct Debits and I need this to be resolved.

Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Ordered a subscription which was supposed to come with three free gifts only to be given a very confusing explanation of why the subscription I'd ordered did not warrant the gifts, which did not make sense. Seems to me it is just false advertising to attract customers. Will not be using this company in the future.

I ordered a subscription which was supposed to come with an M&S voucher. Never received. They’ve sent me emails with supposed links to reclaim, all broken or expired links.

Never Delivered
I ordered a subscription 11/16/2023. It said my first delivery would be 12/29/2023 and it never came. I contacted the company 1/24/2024 and they said it would be here soon as it takes 28 days from Europe to arrive. I still didn't receive it and contacted them 02/12/2024 they said they were sending a replacement and again it would take 28 days. I was charged again on 03/04/2024 despite never having recieved a single magazine. Now it is 03/14/2024 31 days since the last email and promise of a new magazine and its still not here. I'm disputing the most recent charges with the bank.

Still haven't received the magazine yet. 3 months later
Magazine subscription purchased Dec 2 2023. It is now March 10 2024 and I have still not received the February Edition that came our in December. Their website is useless as it doesn't even recognize my subscription, which I have received an email confirmation for. Contacted twice now...

I am appalled by the service I have received from this company . I have subscribed to read the BBC Good Food magazine for many many years . I stopped for a while and then took out an offer at the beginning of February . I received an email confirming my order and payment . The money left my account within 24 hours .
I checked my account on line to see the order only to read my account was inactive .
Good job I did ! My confirmation order said first issue would be expected on March 23rd.
I contacted Buy Subscriptions for the first time for what I thought was to be a simple conversation , how wrong could I have been.
They claim my purchase failed …. Yet they confirmed it by email and they had my money … then they claimed they refunded my money ….
I have been chasing this now since around the 19 th February .
SurelyI would have been sent communication that the order failed …. ????? Not one confirming the order and receipt of payment ?
Surely I would have been told again via email that I had been refunded the money ??? But apparently not .
I thought I had ordered a publication about food not one on psychic ability !!!!
I have been sent round and round in circles . £44.99 lighter in my bank account . I received an email with , wait for it . A document saying a refund was made on such a date for the amount to the last 4 digits of my debit card . I can type one of those !
I am expecting a request to see my bank statement to prove the money has not arrived .
My point is … had I not logged on to my account and found it to be inactive I would be sitting here expecting my April copy of the BBC Good Food magazine to arrive in a few weeks time as per their email confirming my subscription purchase .
I shall now buy my magazine in a shop! It seems the BBC Good Food subscription service does not honour purchases and as for customer service …. Where did it go ???? Previous subscriptions have been easy and a delight! As a pensioner I was so looking forward to receiving as normal the reading matter through my letter box enabling me to imagine the delight of preparing dinner parties for friends no longer around .
I am still in contact over this matter with buy subscriptions who have now invaded my privacy to the point where I have sent them screenshots of my bank account !

Offer unfulfilled with poor customer service
I placed a subscription order for Radio Times 22nd December and received a confirmation email that included “Exclusive Christmas offer: take out a second subscription either for yourself or as a gift and receive a £10 M&S eGift Card*”. I considered this a good deal so followed the link and placed an order for subscription to Homes & Antiques.
I have received both magazines but have not had the e-gift card.
I contacted customer service several times by email and once by telephone (14/2/24) but have not had a satisfactory response. I sent requested screenshots of emails sent to me by Buysubscriptions. Replies show that my messages have not been read and there is a lack of understanding of the situation by the people who reply. One reply tells me that I need to made a second purchase. There are also references to “codes” which I have been told are either not present or that I did not include. There were no codes involved in either order.
I am dissatisfied and still await the e-gift card that was promoted for a second purchase I would not have made without the incentive of the apparently spurious offer.
Additionally in an attempt to sign up to RT “free puzzles for subscribers” my RT subscription number is not recognised. I mentioned this in my call to customer service and was told that they could not deal with this.

Offer not honoured
I have subscribed to Match of the Day for a couple of years and prior to my renewal last October was offered a £10 M&S voucher for early renewal.
I promised this to my grandson to help him with his Christmas gifts for the family but it never arrived.
Since then I have contacted the company on at least six occasions only to be fobbed off each time.
It is totally unacceptable to treat a loyal customer this way.
Not too sure if I will re subscribe next time.

Sign up was easy but…..
Sign up was easy and apart from the first issue not arriving, all else went well until I decided to cancel. In spite of their website suggesting it would be easy, easy time I input my subscription number, I received a message “no subscription found”. I wasted the best part of three hours trying to resolve this and eventually used the “chat” facility and that resolved the matter. An organisation like this depends upon the quality of its customer service (automated and human) and this falls far short of what Shiuld be expected.
