I have purchased a number of items on Yahoo Japan Auctions through Buyee, but won't use it again after a hidden restriction on bidding caused me to miss out on a valuable purchase opportunity.

The company has an undisclosed ceiling of JPY 300,000 on bids, which is only disclosed when the bidder attempts to place the bid. Receiving a waiver from this limit requires a 48-hour process, during which most auctions will have closed.

When I informed the company that their undisclosed policy had cost a long-term customer to miss out on an opportunity, the company's customer service replied that the auction was already over and that I had lost, which I clearly already knew since that was the source of my complaint.

They went on to inform me, after I had voiced my concern that their bidding restriction was undisclosed, that if I would like a waiver of their bidding restriction, that I should contact them further in advance, ignoring the fact that a customer cannot contact them further in advance regarding a hidden policy.

The company is blaming their customers for not being aware of undisclosed restrictions and evading any responsibility for the impact of their policies.

I won't be doing any further business with a company which openly disrespects and mistreats long-term customers.

Great service

Ordered a keyboard from them and while they did deliver it as promised, they wildly underestimated the delivery costs. Beware, their calculator is just completely wrong for larger items. My original estimate ballooned from $700 to over $1300. Why lie? Just fix your calculator. Disappointing.

Because I bought from June 23 but now I ddin't get my package, I don't know what is problem Delivery or anyelso I'm waitting a long time and now

Price gouging pure and simple. The estimated shipping charges were doubled for no real reason. Magically all available shipping options disappeared except 2 day air service at over $200. For some reason custom charges increased as well even though the price of the item was constant. They never lose the opportunity to tack on excess charges at each step. It’s sad that they can’t just make a reasonable profit from their service

Its a con.
You pay for the item, put your delivery address, but it doesnt go to you, it goes to another company who then over charge you for postage to your address. If u dont pay they keep your item.
Should be illegal!

Communication is complicated. I filed a report for a parcel that arrived damaged but never got a response. If I file it again now, they will say I am too late :-(

Buyee is vastly overcharging me for US Customs Duties, over 50% for used fishing reels and used fly reels! Their customer service will not correct this massive overcharging! Blaming their computer system estimate system. If you are in the United States, DO NOT USE BUYEE!!!
Overcharges are $170 on one shipment, $223 overcharges on another, $57 on the last!
Total $450 in overcharges! Buyer beware,

This was my first time using Buyee to buy collector cards from Japan and I must say, that I highly recommend this service. It was fast, let me consolidate the order into one package and the packaging was really great. Delivery was fast and basically overall it was great experience. I can only recommend this site and THANK YOU!

It's a great 3rd party service since I can't use yahoo Japan auction for not having a Japan bank but there was an issue with one item, the seller shipped the wrong item and it was not communicated that there was a long delay with sending the incorrect item back and receiving the correct item. Communication could be improved

Buyee official "Prohibited Items" help page specifically did not list "RC Shock Absorbers" and completely omits "Toy/Radio Control Dampers," you have failed to provide clear, actionable terms of service

Misleading Terms: If the auction house advertised a "safe, fully vetted, or compliant" inventory list, but left out a restricted class of dampers, they made a material omission.

Buyee are clearly in the wrong in which you have deceived the consumers.

The repetitive denials in your responses are creating an unhelpful and stressful interaction.

The service delivery is superb and very affective.Packaging was according my expectations and deliver time to my door to South Africa within 5 days is excellent.Looking forward to do more business on the platform.

Shipping methods are way to expensive and only 1 or two choices at most everytime. Is a no brainer to make it optional to resize a package because most of the time sellers will use a box that is to big making it way to expensive to ship. I don't care about whatever rules you have in place, not making this an option will destroy Buyee FOR SURE!

They are just a bunch of thief's!
