Failed to Honor "Buyer Protection" on an Unrideable Giant TCR Advanced 1
I only purchased through buycycle because of their advertised "Buyer Protection" program, and it has completely failed. I paid a premium to protect my purchase of a bike listed as "Very Good / Ready to Ride," but the bike arrived completely unrideable.
A professional inspection by Bicycle Habitat's master mechanic officially condemned the vehicle as a critical safety hazard.
Despite explicit photo, video, and local bike shop documentation proving that the bike is dangerous to operate, buycycle support refused the return and offered a $140 payout. This is a complex repair requiring over a thousand dollars in parts and professional labor to correct, creating an entirely unacceptable consumer experience.
Because buycycle refuses to honor its own terms and contractually guaranteed protection, I have been forced to involve both my attorney and a formal American Express payment dispute to resolve this transaction.
Buyer beware.

Advertised a Cervelo Triathlon bike and…
Advertised a Cervelo Triathlon bike and sold it for a good price within about a week. I had a few offers including one I accepted. I did pack my own bike in the original packing as I had the box from when the bike was new so that made the process easier. Collection was smooth and on time, buyer received the bike quickly and loved it. I got paid in 2 days of buyer receiving. Job done 5 Stars from me!

Try to buy a bicycle but was told it was sold, but it reappeared later with higher price
I tried twice to buy a bicycle on this web site, to no avail.
For the first bike, the seller said that the bike was not available any more and that it was a mistake that there were two offers for the same bike.
A few hours later, I found a new offer for exactly the same bike, but with a much higher price. The seller had obviously lied to me.
For the second bike, I also tried to purchase it and then a few hours later got the information that the bike was already sold.
This site looks suspicious and should not be trusted. To me the sellers are doing what they want (can cancel a sale when they think the price is not right). And the buyers are left un protected.

What you describe with the first bicycle is not how our marketplace should work, and we take this kind of behavior seriously. Sellers are expected to honor their listings and commitments, and relisting at a higher price after cancelling a sale is not something we condone.
Regarding the second bicycle, while it can occasionally happen that a bicycle sells through another channel before a transaction is fully completed on our platform, we know that doesn't make the experience any less disappointing.
To clarify, buycycle does offer buyer protection, including secure payment processing and a claims process for issues after delivery. That said, your feedback about the pre-purchase experience is valid and important. We want buyers to always feel confident when shopping on our platform.
