Terrible customer service

Purchased a brand new forerunner 955, I was unable to set it up as I kept getting an error message. I contacted support who talked me through some steps to fix it. It didn't work so they said they would have to exchange the watch as it was faulty. Even though I paid for a brand new watch they said they could only exchange it for pre owned restored one! Why would I pay full price for a refurbished watch?? Terrible customer service

Battery fault

I have a venu 2 and after a sync the watch now thinks the battery is flat when it reaches 45%.I've tried without success to rectify this fault.

Warranty? They don't know her

My watch face cracked after six weeks - it wasn't dropped, it didn't have anything dropped on it, I didn't bang my arm against anything, I just wore it on my wrist like a normal person and swam in an indoor pool a couple times a week.
But the screen cracked, the support rep said it must be my fault and directed me to a site outlining Garmin's policy that any damage to any item at any time is never their problem. Then she told me I could send it in and exchange it for a new one if I paid an amount that was half the watch's original cost.

Absolutely amazing item

Absolutely amazing item! My son went hoking in Scotland and had to send an SOS because his friend was injured. They called me straight away and kept me updated every hour. The local police and mountain rescue also kept me updated and they sent out a helicopter to rescue them within the hour. Do not go on remote hikes without one of these!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Customer Support – Garmin Sets the Standard!

I’ve been using Garmin sports devices for years (cycling computers, watches, radar, power meters), and what really sets Garmin apart is their exceptional customer support. Whenever I’ve had an issue — whether it’s with a device, software update or accessory — their team has been quick, efficient, and genuinely helpful in getting things sorted.

Their support experience honestly reminds me of Amazon’s gold-standard service: no hassle, no endless back-and-forth, just clear communication and swift resolutions. It’s rare to find a tech company that stands so firmly behind its products, and Garmin absolutely does.

In a world where many companies make support feel like a chore, Garmin makes it easy, personal and dependable. A brilliant experience every time — they’ve earned a loyal customer in me!

Garmin cancelled my order and told me…

Garmin cancelled my order and told me that it was due to their third-party credit card screening service. I do have a little trouble now and then because my address is a little weird, and sometimes CARTs don't accept it, and I have to try again. So.. ok, Garmin sends theirs to a third party, so they reject it, not the cart...

But it is a LIE because I then put the same order through PAYPAL, my card was successfully debited, and $870 was TAKEN OFF MY CREDIT CARD. Then they cancelled my order. Now I have to wait 5 days, according to Paypal for them to put it back on my card,
Not good business practice Garmin, Not good.

Fast aging battery

My Solar Instinct (purchased during original lockdown) has been slowly dieing for a few months. Garmin support offered a few battery saving options to no avail. They quickly went on offensive when they offered me to purchase a replacement battery costing £110 which would be higher value than the watch. The support team need to be chased and are clearly underwater. Be wary of making a purchase as the shelf life is far too short.

Happy with watch and customer service

Bought my watch about 4 years ago and never had an issue. Bought my wife a Swim2 through a retailer and after 2 years the screen started to malfunction. Contacted Garmin as the watch was out of warranty and they replaced it no questions asked!

Bought a camper sat nav - don’t!!

Bought a camper sat nav.
It simply doesn’t work. Takes you to an emergency vehicles only junction and a 35 mile motorway trip to navigate from home to the village 4 miles away. Fastest route is slower than shortest route. I’ve amended the dimensions to the size of a fiat 500 and it still takes the same bizarre route. Garmin said it was a mapping issue and offered no help. Total dissatisfaction and an hour wasted on the phone. I’ll be looking elsewhere and disposing of the new sat nav and going on holiday without one sadly.

I’m still waiting for my Garmin to be…

I’m still waiting for my Garmin to be dispatched. I purchased it 12 weeks ago and I’m being told it is still going to be another 3 to 5 weeks. This is the third time I’ve called them and the only response is just cancel the order. This is the most disgusting customer service I’ve ever received.

Garmin was lost

Garmin was lost by UPS - I have spent hours on the phone with both Garmin and UPS. Today Garmin litterally said "no longer our problem". As the original sender surley you have a duty of care to your customer. I wouldnt order directly from them use a 3rd party, quite rude service.

I must say I don't make any reviews as…

I must say I don't make any reviews as such but my son has had the most welcoming professional polite customer service ever experienced by a lady called Emily in customer service department of what I know and if only other company's alike could adhere to at least 50% of her commitment to customers rights and overall satisfaction until the case is classed as resolved would take note the world would have a different mindset on how these normal human beings have too put up with so much abuse and hatred for merely carrying out their job on an extremely low income whilst those above reap the rewards with out this duty of care and commitment so would just like to say from my experience a great company with a excellent member of the team who has dealt with my replacement. Ps just a shame it had to be in these circumstances regarding faulty product but we can't always win the lottery hey. Thanks Emily and those higher up in garmin support your workers and customers alike without them no champagne breakfasts for you regards Mrs R White / Mr l.white

Poor Customer Service For Venu 3 Not Delivered

I ordered my Venu 3 watch and it was dispatched on 26th, due to be deliverd on 27th with UPS. Instead delivering, the watch was returned back to Garmin and delivered to them on 29th. I went on their chat asking when it would be re-dispatched but was given no confirmation. Even when I asked to be connected to the Manager, she couldn't give any confirmation. Eventually, I cancelled my order. Their customer service before receiving the watch is shocking, I am really concerned what their customer service will be post sales.

Pointless complex functions posing as scientific

The product us just not what it once was. I bought mine two or so years ago. Watches are extremely expensive and have far too much pointless apps which are of no use whatsoever to the average amateur athlete even if they were actually as scientific as they appear. If there are any guides to help you interpret the information, they are completely useless. The science behind is is doubtful. For example, during my runs it keeps telling me whether I'm going too fast or slow or over reaching, according to speed. It doesn't seem to base this effort on my heart rate or take into account whether I'm going uphill or downhill! What is the point then of the alerts? And how does it decide what speed I should be doing then anyway if it isnt judging my effort rather than output? To get many of the functions to make any sense at all you would need to wear the watch 24/7. But even then, the stats are dubious and not presented in a way that you can interpret them to get of any use. Next time I will buy a cheaper device, so I can log my distances, speeds, HR and calories. That's all. I have the music version because I thought it would have been useful to have it work as a mp3 player - but it doesn't. I can't change the tunes without stopping my workout recording first! This was my third garmin. I probably won't buy another.

Nice watches, but terrible service.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I have no choice. I bought a venu 3 in Jan this year and a month ago it developed a fault. It kept disconnecting from my phone, and wouldn't auto reconnect on its own. I emailed Garmin support, who asked me to do a few different things, this didn't resolve it, it was escalated to the engineers, and that's where it's been left. Not heard a dicky bird for over a month now. For a watch that cost me £389, it's just not good enough. Needless to say, once this is resolved, I will be selling it and moving on.

Don't buy any products

Be aware: Garmin offers no support once the warranty expires or the product is discontinued. I invested £1000, and after 2 years, my unit failed. Support told me there’s nothing they can do. Now I’m stranded at the marina and must buy a new device—definitely not Garmin again. Poor aftercare for such an expensive product!
"Hi Ricky,
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately, as you have confirmed, the issue is present with the unit itself and having gone through the steps in the previously sent document, there isn't much more we can suggest, as the unit is discontinued and out of service.
But from the currently provided information, the unit is out of warranty, and there is nothing more we can suggest, I'm afraid."

NOTHING WE CAN DO, but we can dispose of the device for you!!! Seriously!!! £900 product and Nothing you can do????
GARMIN DOESN'T PROVIDE ANY TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, MEANING ALL THE TECHNICAL STAFF ONLY NEED TO KNOW IF THE DEVICE HAVE POWER IF NOT BIN IT....

Bought a Fenix 7 watch a year or so ago

Bought a Fenix 7 watch a year or so ago
Getting fed up with having to re-sync with my phone (Pixel 7a) every time it gets out of bluetooth range for more than an hour or so.
It then has the cheek to congratulate me on my new device - every time
Yuch
If you want a watch that can talk to your phone don't get one of these

Tricked

I suspended my account yet they still took an unauthorised payment without any notification and when I contacted to ask what it was for they didn't know so phoned my bank to get the money back in which Garmin counted me by putting a block on my newly bought device making it inoperable until I paid them the money they should not have taken out.I expected a better service with Garmin and not acting like a bogus scammer.

Extremely bad service

Extremely bad service. Deliveries attempt with ups that never happen.. no one is accountable, no one replies back. Not reliable at all. If they are like this with a simple delivery imagine if you have an issue with the watch..
