Burnermail.io SUX!!

Burnermail.io used to work beautifully but NOT anymore!! DO NOT USE!!

I wish I'd read these reviews before paying for the premium service! I've been using their services for many years. But I hadn't used it during the last year or so. I recently had a need in which I needed to use it again. Without knowing better, I repurchased my old premium account. Over the last couple days, I can't get anything to work! I even tried sending an email to support & I received this failure notice...

Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.

[contact (at) burnermail.io]
Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up.

Again, DO NOT USE!! 🤬

Don't use! Emails stopped forwarding!!

I used to love this service because it protected companies from knowing my real email address but burnermail stopped forwarding emails sent from aliases. There doesn't seem to be any support anymore. For those who still use it or partly use, I suggest switching ASAP because you might lose access to accounts (especially sites that sent a OTP to an email address, thankfully most of my accounts I set up had phone number OTP).

I'm not sure what's happening

I'm not sure what's happening, but it looks like the whole project has gone AWOL. The last time I spoke to Serge Calborean (who I believe is the owner) was on March 11th. Since then, I have sent him more than 20 emails regarding my emails bouncing back. For now, you can still create and receive burner emails, although that sometimes takes a while. However, you cannot reply back to those emails. I hope Serge returns and fixes this mess. It would be a shame for such an excellent service to be abandoned like this.

Avoid - Site not maintained, no support, emails not delivered

As others have said, the site, whilst still happy to take your payment, is not maintained. At the current time emails are not being delivered and emails to support go unanswered. This is a one-man-band setup, where the owner comes and goes as he pleases. Last time this happened I got a response after weeks. Avoid this app otherwise you will have setup multiple email addresses and have to move them all over to something else and waste tons of time

AVOID! Used to be great, now is unreliable and not maintained!

This service used to me my go-to. But in recent weeks (and potentially months) the email servers and even website went offline occasionally. Emails would not arrive, or be significantly delayed.

I tried writing support, but emails were left unanswered.

I'm moving away. Luckily I used my own domain and can simply move away by configuring the domain. But holy moly, this is a big disappointment.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Went Down Today

I have been using them for about a year. Today I stopped receiving all emails. The service seems to have gone down. Their Web Site is up. The only way to contact them is through Email. I have paid for 2 or 3 years of service and I will stop using them after this. It's unacceptable that this happens without any notification or way to obtain support.

This service is totally useless

I've been using this service for over a year. At various points I would stop receiving emails but resolved the issue by changing the forward to address. As of a few nights ago I began receiving 2-3 emails a day. Switching the forwarding account no longer fixes it. No response from customer support. Now I have to change 350 email addresses. This service is totally useless: don't waste your money.

I have been using this service now for…

I have been using this service now for a while and have to say I am quite happy.

Not really sure what the bad complaints are about here but I had no issues so far with emails not being delivered. I actually use this service daily to get rid of all kinds of spam.

The only downside I see is that their browser plugin could be way better and their interface is no the best either. If you don't take care you'll get lost between all the aliases you created.

As mentioned in other reviews the speed could be better as well, but then again, this acts as a kind of proxy so slow ups are expected.

All in all a solid product, which kind of needs a little upgrade here and there but then again they don't exist for that long either.

Don't use them for anything important

Don't use them for anything important. They fail to forward emails & don't respond to support queries. I think they have gone out of business as I've had no emails for 3 weeks now. Support haven't responded to my email either!
--------
Almost 1 year on having heard nothing from them trust pilot inform me they have now challenged it, yet still no replies from them to any of the emails I've sent to their customer service.

Completely useless

Completely useless
I have used it for a while but they have frequent server issues which means you never receive emails sent during that period. Customer support are very slow to respond and offer no solutions. Super disappointing, as the concept is good as evidenced by the usability of the product when it works. But a service like this requires 5-9s quality...

Great Idea Average Product

I really like the concept of the product. But the speed at which the mails are received are very slow and sometimes miss to receive in our inbox. The customer support is really poor, takes days to get a reply. Other times the servers are down and the emails will not reach at all. The product has a great potential, but seems like they have left its development and updation.

Easy to use and great features

I use it all the time, so i went premium.
The browser extension works really good and is easy to use.
The service itself works like a charm with a basic but very userfriendly UI/UX.
All my my mails were delivered instantly.
I really have no negative word to say here.

I am really a fan of this service

I am really a fan of this service, it allows me to keep my email box clean by creating unlimited forward addresses for any service or site i sign up to.
Their browser extensions are very useful.

The only downside are their mobile app and the limit of one custom domain for paying customers.

I have set up burner emails for 99% of…

I have set up burner emails for 99% of my accounts! That 1% are sites that don't allow an email change. I signed up to this so I can trust that whenever I receive emails that they are coming from the right email addresses and not to my private/really personal one so I can avoid those phishing attempts. And if those online services do suffer from a breach, that burner email will protect my private email address! I have started to use a custom domain as my burner email addresses in case sites recognise that they don't like the @tryninja.io or the @tryburner.email option. I have been with Burner Mail for almost a year now. I can't wait for them to release an iOS 13 app so I don't have to go through their website.
