Deceit. Just waste of time.
All symptoms, age, conditions were shared with Bupda from the very beginning. There was no major health issue etc.. They just keep asking idiotic questions like what is the reason for Ozone therapy etc .. had FULL annual checkup data (4x more expensive that what even Bupa pays for annual checkups.. they kept trying to find ways to not honor their initial quote. So they just try to scam you and only insure young and 100% healthy people. similar to travel insurance.. They lied about a potential quote - or better said - their sales people are external consultants PAID on a sale. therefore there is a misalignment between actual Bupa and their sale consultants. even when presented with the same data. My advice for anyone trying to get insurance - DO NOT SHARE any data with them. Keep all the info at the very minimum. Do not do any tests. DO not waste your time. DO not share any checkup data. DOInt mention anything. just the bar minimum. Dont say you ar eating healthy. Dont say you do sports. Not sure about drinking.. maybe just say occasionally. Else if you say you dot drink they might question why don't you drink? are you sick? your liver is damaged etc. that's their approach . Basically for any who is not their perfect target for profits they will find ways to deny your application based on pure BS.
So they are trying to act as "travel insurance" - just collect insurance from young healthy people. DO NOT SHARE annual checkups data etc as even if there is NO recommendation for any surgery or extra costs.. they will pick on anything as a rest to deny insurance for non "most profitable targets". At least their competitors will be more straightforward and just deny insurance form the very beginning for any family member over 80.. Here you just waste months with tests and paperwork and even if there is no medical conditions needed paid treatment . They will just deny your application based on risk factors. So even if you are top 20% healthy for your age. that's not good enough. You need to be top 1% healthy.. maybe top 0.1% if you are over 80.
Then some stupid comments like your mother has cataract - yes I know you stupid Bupa - I told you she is already scheduled for surgery. You don't need to pay for that.. obviously.
SO. conclusion. dishonest. hate of time. and lots of marketing and BS. as I am sure you will see if they ever reply.. "I am sorry for what whatever .. blabla. some people paid (or AI) to produce some bullshit.

These people stole $11,500 dollars from me, literally stole! Do not use these rich scammers. They are terrible, and I've heard this from hundreds of clients too. They conned us on a pregnancy insurance package, and they solicited, then someone from their head office for our work in healthcare removed genuine insurance policies for mental health (which they only added during Covid to make money from policies then others insurers followed suit), harming those who had 1 Million dollars a year mental health allowance and only got the policy for mental health to be told that certain legit therapies were not allowed (scientifically evidenced therapies with years of research we are talking about). They are pure con artists, and I know the people at the top, and they are the most narcissistic psychopaths I've met on earth, don't support them. CIGNA is the best, they are amazing, and although the insurance companies are bad like banks, CIGNA is one of the far better, and more ethical ones if you need to choose one. We are talking from over 100 experiences more than needed for a study! I have zero affiliation with Cigna except moving from Bupa to Cigna and our companies mental healthcare we moved clients from Cigna to Bupa.
