I wish I could review as zero stars

I wish I could review as zero stars. I tried to contact PEX Insure regarding my insurance policy bought through Nova Direct, but they ignored emails and calls for more than a month.

Long story short, I was then chased by Bumble Bee Debt Recovery when I blocked Nova Finance from taking any more payments for a service I was not receiving - and what is clearly a scam. After being threatened by the debt recovery company, I ended up paying. It transpires that PEX, Nova Direct and Nova Finance, and Bumble Bee Debt Recovery are all registered to the same address and individual. It is clear that this is a roundabout scam in order to defraud people.

I am currently pursuing a refund through the Financial Ombudsman and would urge anyone else to do the same.

Absolutely horrendous company!

Chase you for debt you dont owe. NOT regulated by the FCA. Dont reply to emails, dont follow their own complaints procedure. No phone number ( automated ) unmanned inbox. Massive scam, working in conjuction with NOVA DIRECT who are also absolutely awful. No surprise when its owned by the same person. Get straight onto the Financial Ombudsman.

Avoid, dishonest, no customer contact just want your money

As with others I have had a terrible experience with Nova Direct. I purchased home emergency cover which offered a boiler service. Few months down the line when asking for my boiler to be serviced they said I will get that only if I renewed their policy.(apparently this clause is in a document you have to look for rather than a clause advertised directly along with the offer of a free service) I have always had home emergency cover and had a boiler service conducted within the policy dates never on renewal. I complained and cancelled my policy. I since have had debt recovery after me for the balance of the premium.Apparently Nova Direct Finance pay in full to Nova Direct Insurance and if you cancel, the full outstanding payment is due. Once again I have never had this before as other cancelled policies in the past results in just a fee to be paid not the full payment. You can't speak to anyone at Nova direct, I have sent complaint emails but have never received a reply. In addition, when I purchased the policy they had the Costco icon on their website which at the time reassured me that this was a legit company and policy. However Costco have told me that they have no relationship with Nova Direct. The whole setup at Nova Direct seems rather suspicious to me and I would suggest that everyone avoids them. Worst experience of my 40 years in insurance policies.

Oh no another 1 star review!

Oh no another 1 star review!
As others have said, Nova Breakdown Insurance removed my European cover at renewal and so I tried to get in contact but failed, after contacting the Financial Ombudsman I got my premium charged back via my credit card company (they need evidence why and is not an automatic right).
Whilst Nova are aware that the Financial Ombudsman are investigating my complaint they decided to pass the debt to Bumblebee debt recovery who have no means of contact that gives you a copy (you need all the evidence you can get!), they have a web form that they don't read or if they do, they don't answer.
They do manage to increase the debt because I have not paid it.
Best of all, they send text messages and emails late in the evening just before bedtime. This should be a not allowed.
DOH! Should have checked first, same guy runs both companies according to Companies House and at the same address.
4 September update.
They have now started court proceedings and asked the Financial Ombudsman to halt my complaint about Nova Direct (see my other reviews). The also gave the court a fictious address and no email address so I was unaware, but luckily the Financial Ombudsman let me know.
How low can they go?

These are the same scammers that run…

These are the same scammers that run nova direct breakdown cover.

They began harassing me by text over an amount I couldn't possible owe.

Reported them to trading standards and the police. If they give you any hassle, I suggest you do the same.

Same address listed for both businesses. Only a matter of time until justice catches up with these crooks.

PARASITES

These parasites are the same people who conveniently run Nova Direct. DO NOT give into their bullying and intimidation. Report them both to the Financial ombudsman, the more complaints received about them then the better chance to have them investigated.

Only contact you by text increasing balance

This company keep sending texts that I owe debt from nova direct car breakdown recovery for a car I don’t even have anymore.
They keep increasing balance. I have emailed them weeks ago with no response. I’ve contacted nova direct to be told I have to wait 8 weeks to be resolved. These 2 company’s cannot be contacted by telephone to resolve. A disgrace.

Please avoid at all cost

Please avoid at all cost. Someone took insurance out with nova direct fraudulently as my details leaked when I got a new phone and I explained this to several agents (one being Samantha Claseen to be precise) when they were trying to chase money from me. You cannot get in touch with them AT ALL, they only contact you when chasing money. Samantha and another lady said they’ll sort it as this fraudster was trying to claim a phone from them. To save the company from getting scammed, I reported it. However, they didn’t do anything to stop money being taken from my bank, so I cancelled via the bank. They then gave my details for the debt company to chase money from me. The debt company (bumble bee debt collectors) is also completely uncontactable so they will continue to increase the money and only send you messages full of threats with “no reply” emails. I decided to try and cancel the nova insurance via the website, and once again they sent me an email saying it’s cancelled but if the outstanding funds are not paid, they’ll get debt collectors on me. For the sake of £74 and my credit score, I just paid the debt so that these inconsiderate companies are off my back. Even if you try and get through to the claims process line with nova, they’ll say do it online. I emailed them 7 times over the course of 2 months, neither companies got in touch until I paid via BACS, bumble bee then emailed me to ask for proof and that was it, they completely avoided my questions regarding the support on how to appeal this. The worst thing was that I couldn’t pay the debt online with the instructions that was provided by debt collectors, it kept saying “error”. And obviously because you can’t get through to them to say that, they’ll simply increase the debt. I have all this evidence to claim it legally, I don’t care about the money anymore. It is the principle now that matters more to me. Absolutely shocking scammers the lot of them, the real fraudsters are nova direct and bumble bee debt collectors. They’ll only get in touch to recover the money, because that is all they care about. They’ll find any excuse to increase the money.

Bumble bee - don’t bother even responding to this telling me to contact nova and that it is on them. You weren’t reachable at all when I needed your help, don’t try to respond with a thob off response to make yourself look good now. You got what you wanted so go do your job chasing someone else. Take your £20 out the share and eat well 👍🏽
