Excellent Supplier
I have been ordering from them for more than 2 years. Being from India, I initially doubted, but over time, after using the products, I have not been disappointed. It has been expanding the assortment to include naturals and many local versions of perfumery accords, such as different versions of oud, rose, or marine fragrances. The owner and his team will guide you if you explain what you are looking for, and the type of quality you want. They stock all the same products from the usual suspects like Firmenich, Givaudan, Albert Vieille, BASF, etc., and they are all fine. I work across multiple categories of perfumery products, from perfumes to home fragrance, and I would have had issues with polarity, or lack of projection, if the products were cut or diluted. Many materials solidify or become syrupy at room temperature, but not when cut.
If you know anything about chemistry, cutting raw materials requires a full setup to deliver functional results, which demands staff, labs, GC exams, and many rounds of testing across different categories; it's a big investment. Not to mention the cost and storage of the diluents you would use. Cutting products at the distributor level is impractical, especially if they have to cross borders. The financial loss in case of being caught is just not worth it. Bulk Aroma is a mid- to large-sized distributor that's quickly expanding. If they were smaller, I might have thought they cut products on a kitchen table, but as a larger organization, I doubt they would have the time or wish to spend capital doing so.
Their large assortment is not a kitchen-table operation; they respond to texts or emails at virtually any hour of the day or evening, they are upfront about current shipment and tariff costs, and they are very thorough in following up and tracking parcels.
For an aficionado just starting up perhaps the shipping costs are high because they now include tariffs, but for a mid-size business, or a pro who's been around for a few years, or if you have a business in which you need to stock core blenders, specific aroma chemicals, if you build your own fruity, floral or green accords, it's an excellent source.
