I am extremely disappointed with the service at Buffet Amor. I booked a table well in advance for a very special occasion—my birthday and baby shower—and specifically requested a table at the far end of the restaurant to ensure privacy for our group of 15 people. This request was confirmed over the phone, and I even called a second time before the event to double-check that everything was in order. The man I spoke with (I’m not sure if he was the manager) reassured me that our request was confirmed and everything would be ready.
When we arrived, I was shocked and disappointed to find that the table we had specifically requested was not prepared. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were not given the private space we were promised. To make matters worse, there was no acknowledgment of the birthday celebration—no flag, no decoration, nothing. It felt like our special occasion wasn’t even considered.
The food itself is good, and I will give them credit for that, but food alone cannot make up for such poor service. When a restaurant fails to honor what they agreed to, it ruins the experience entirely. This was a very important celebration for me, and it was made stressful and disappointing by the lack of attention and professionalism.
I will not return to Buffet Amor for an event like this, and I cannot recommend it to anyone looking to host a special occasion. Making promises and not following through shows a lack of respect for customers. Very frustrating and completely avoidable.
Again: If you can’t honor what you agree to, don’t make promises in the first place.
