Really impressive service from start to finish. Collection and delivery were all arranged for me, so there was no need to travel anywhere — a huge convenience. I’ve only had my electric Brompton for seven months, but the rear tyre had punctured, the bike was looking a bit tired, the brake pads had worn down, and the chain had already started to show a hint of rust. The actual service itself was exceptional. They replaced the handlebar grips, seat post sleeve, chain, sprockets, brake pads (front and back), and both tyres. I was also told they replaced the rear inner tube and the handlebar hinge clamp as a gesture of goodwill. The bike was given a deep clean, properly greased, fitted with a fresh Brompton sticker, and even came back with a keychain. They also repaired and cleaned my bike pump, which I didn’t expect at all. The result? The bike rides like new. I’ll admit I hesitated at the £275 cost, thinking I could buy the parts and do some of the work myself — but honestly, it’s worth every penny if you value your time and want expert workmanship. There are no additional charges for parts or labour; it’s a flat £275 for everything. Even better, after doing a bit of research, I discovered that the service can be put through the Cycle to Work scheme, meaning you can effectively have your bike serviced every year at a discount. A few areas for improvement: It would have been great if both inner tubes were replaced as standard. For such a comprehensive service — and given how inexpensive inner tubes are — they really should be included. The same goes for hinge clamps; these are low‑cost parts that arguably should be part of the package. The process is fairly lengthy. First the empty box arrives, you pack the bike, arrange collection, it goes to Brompton, they service it within a couple of days, and then it’s delivered back to you. In total, the whole process took just over two weeks end-to-end, so having a backup bike is important. If I were to suggest one thing that would make this service unbeatable, it would be offering a courtesy Brompton while yours is being serviced — maybe one of the C bikes from their hire scheme. Overall, I’m genuinely glad I got that puncture — it led me to an amazing service that has my bike feeling brand new again.

This actually got off to a bit of a bad start. The box arrived just fine. When I went to book the delivery slot (do this before you box-up the bike, FYI), there were only two collection slots per week. I'd just missed one, the next one I couldn't be around for, so had to wait almost a week. Not a huge problem but the box is fairly bulky to have lying around for a week. Then, when it came to collection, I received my time slot from DPD, but the courier just didn't show up. When I checked the online status (after the time slot), it was marked "when our driver arrived we were advised there was nothing to collect." I got in touch with Brompton straight away. This is where it got a lot better... I got an email back from Dan, 40 mins later. He was very apologetic, took responsibility (despite it being a courier issue), and asked about any constraints I might have in the upcoming days, so he could re-book a slot that would suit me. Turned out to be the following day. From then on, everything ran really smoothly, and Dan kept in touch via email throughout the process to update me on progress and advise on additional costs for parts that weren't covered by the service. They even made sure to have it done well in advance of the deadline I had for getting it back. At a time when it seems like every company is using AI bots to deal with customer queries, complaints, and "service", it was not only refreshing but an actual joy to deal with a real human being who took responsibility and dealt with my issue from start to finish. Please, Brompton, never change this! Got my bike back with a new rear rack and grips (as I had requested) and whole bunch of other parts replaced either foc or heavily discounted. I've had my bike back a few days now, and wanted to wait til I'd taken it out for a few miles before leaving a review. With the exception of a few cosmetic scratches (normal wear through life), it's like new. An absolute joy to ride! My only problem now... I don't to go out in the rain for fear of getting it all dirty again. Definitely the best service it's had since I've bough it for 5(?) years ago.
Great service and quick turnaround. Bike rides great again
A quality service which I will use again. Turn around time was quicker than expected and the bike came back looking almost new (which is great considering it’s been unloved for a while)
First class premier service is well worth the money.
I have no issue with the quality of the service itself. As promised, my bike was returned looking almost new. The getting the bike to the workshop part with DPD was disastrous, however. DPD managed to create a new hybrid address from my collection and my home addresses and so the delay from ordering to collection was around 10 days. With a different courier this may have been better.
The service exceeded my expectations with the bike returned in an almost as new condition
Definitely recommend, excellent job 👌
Amazing - like getting a new bike. From start to finish a true premium service. Thank you Brompton
Absolutely amazing. My bike is new again! Think £250 wld be more reasonable but I am not complaining
Bike returned with a puncture
The service returned my bike back to pretty much new and includes pretty much everything covered. Was kept informed during the process and the shipping system made it very simple. I’d make a suggestion to Brompton to have an option of a loan bike, which they could use the same box for as an extra since it does take a couple of weeks
Supper efficient! Really happy for the service!
Fantastic premium service. My 2016 C-Line was collected as arranged and returned good as new in less than a week. Parts replaced like for like as promised, along with several other parts at no extra cost. Well worth the money, bravo Brompton.
Very efficient service
Excellent service, I m so happy bike looks like new!!!!
The actual service of the bike was brilliant and now that I have the bike back I’m very pleased. However, as is so often the case, the service was let down by the delivery services. DHL left the empty cardboard shipping box out in the open in the rain in spite of my having left the porch door open all day for them to leave it. Delivery of the bike back was even worse, this time by UPS. I had an email on the morning saying that It was due to be delivered between 12.40-4.30, it was then updated at 4.30 to ‘by 7pm’ delivery, at 6.30 another email saying it would be delivered on the following Monday. I had wasted all of Friday and wasn’t able to lose another workday so opted to collect the bike from the carrier. This ruined what would have been a positive experience and instead has left me feeling annoyed and frustrated
My Brompton is 8 years old and was in need of a major overhaul. The box arrived promptly with concise instructions on how to pack the bike. The courier collected the bike on Monday morning and on Friday morning it was returned to me. Every part of the bike has received attention which was clear when I unfolded it, let alone rode it. In my view the Premium Service is worth every penny. Get it done!
Incredible value & work. So happy. Looks & runs like new. Amazing service & loads of new replacement parts included in cost. Pick up & drop off element so convenient & efficient. Highly recommended.
In essence you get a new bike :-) Thank you Brompton.
