- I received letter from them to renew the LEI. Previously I was using LSE, but decided to switch to British LEI as their pricing was better. Happy with the service for now.
Avoid using British LEI! They attempted to deceive us by sending a letter to our company's registered office that appeared legitimate, urging us to renew our LEI number with them. Unaware that another director was already handling our LEI renewal through a different provider, I initially followed their instructions because the letter seemed credible. Only later did I realize it was a scam. I'm currently working to undo the transaction and obtain a refund.
British LEI are a scam, do not use them! They sent an official-looking letter to my company's registered office address when my LEI number was due to expire, claiming that I needed to renew the LEI number with them. I didn't realise that one of our other directors already renews our LEI number with a different provider and because the letter looked genuine, I followed the instructions in it before realising they were trying to trick me. I am now trying to reverse the process and get a refund.
