Beware of this company!! They are unethical!!

I spoke with Lucas, who falsely claimed that they were a legitimate moving company, stating all their trucks had logos and that they take photos and inventory of items. After discussing everything with him, I paid the deposit and finalized an agreement to pay the remaining balance upon delivery.

On the day of pickup, the movers arrived four hours late in a $19.95 U-Haul truck. They gave me an excuse that their truck broke down, and they had to rent the U-Haul to complete the move. When I asked for their company name, they said it was Star Light Moving. They couldn’t take all of my belongings because the truck was too small and promised to return the next day to pick up the rest. However, I repeatedly called Bright Star, but no one answered, and the movers never came back.

I was forced to give away my $1,400 couch, leave my remote control bed base in the apartment, and throw away other items. The movers still have my king-size mattress, three flat-screen TVs, four poles to my canopy bed frame, and 20 boxes filled with kitchen items, clothes, and sentimental belongings.

Afterward, they began calling me to increase the price beyond the original agreement, also demanding half the money upfront, contrary to the initial deal of full payment upon delivery. Another company even contacted me asking for payment. After I disputed the deposit, Bright Star resumed calling me.

I’ve seen multiple reviews of others experiencing similar situations. I refuse to pay any more money until I have my items in my possession, fearing that, like others, I will pay and never see my things again. I have filed a police report and will be pursuing legal action.

They deserve a negative. If you choose to use them, beware!- this is a broker! Hundreds of your dollars will go for NOTHING - unfortunately, they do not tell you who they really are or how they operate. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - FIND A RELIABLE DIRECT MOVING COMPANY OR DO IT YOURSELF! The 5 star reviews are so fake - do not make the same mistake a lot of us did. Your items even in brand new boxes will come broken and missing as they subcontract and then those companies subcontract. Use a solid, reliable moving company. Not a broker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Company service was excellent. They respected all the dates that were arranged and kept in contact about when the delivery would occur.

Cancelled my move within 24 hrs after finding out they are a carrier and broker, even though the sales person was adamant only a carrier. Found multiple reviews after the fact supporting brokers showing up and confirmed that they are both on Dept of Tran site they provided.
Confirmed reimbursement was in process and waited the 30 day period, no problem as I agreed to their cancellation policy when I put down a deposit. Well 30 days pass and each time I contact them they state it’s with Finance. The last time I called, which was the 4th inquiry call, they guaranteed me I would be contacted within 72 Hrs. Again patiently waited, 72+ hours pass still no response. Another call and they stated they would raise to finance again. I asked to speak to a manager and was told unavailable, did asked for a callback once available, but not holding my breath. Now I will be moving onto daily calls and social media to get the word out along with contacting a lawyer. BEWARE!! Not good business practices all around. Support good local carries…this one should not even be a consideration.

Really efficient, definitely worth the money. a great crew, took good care of our things and were flexible.
