RED FLAG

This "company" says they are physically located in New Jersey. In fact, the 'editors' are in various countries around the world. My kids paid for this service for me for Mother's day, and at first everything seemed to be going well. And then my assigned 'lead' editor missed several calls, said she had car trouble, she was sick. They didn't seem to know my time zone? Then, I noticed 'suggestions' coming back to me that were not correct English grammar. And they are editors? Turns out English isn't their first language. (They use fake identities to cover their South East Asian names). I contacted 'my editor', who turned out had stolen the identity of a US writer who had been trying to get them for fraud for several years. Long story short, I reported them to the credit card company after they refused to give my kids a refund. We got most of the money back but it came from another sheisty online business... I reported both of them to the Better Business Bureau as well.

What a scam

What a scam! Fortunately, I only lost $2500. Although they tried to get me to buy their marketing package and ISBN and a bunch of other stuff, I refused. I wrote the book and they could barely edit properly. Brad, Ruth, Dizzy, Isaiah...these people are either the same, or have twins that sound exactly like them. Save yourself time, money, and heartache. I finally got the book published but the back cover had the wrong book description so I had to hire someone to correct it because they refused to give me the proof (I only had jpegs of the front and back cover). Good Riddance!

RUN. Don’t walk.

They not only ask you for more money for copywriting and ISBN (even though you’ve already agreed to a contract, that includes everything!), then they try to scam you by telling you the copywriting doesn’t mean international! So people can still steal your book! They also took over a year to write a story that was already written when they got their hands on it. That’s right, I wrote the story in college completely. All I asked for was editing, formatting, illustrations, ISBN, number, and copyright. Instead, they took more than a whole year because they can’t even write English. They kept going over and over and over the same exact correction six and seven times and It would take months to just get one thing done. And then when it was finally over, they never even sent me a copy of my book! I had to buy my own book from Amazon. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had and I’m grateful that this was my first experience writing so I know what to look out for when I go to other companies. Also, let’s not forget that they claim to be American, but they don’t have American hours, and I only ever spoke to East Indian or Pakistani from India! Etonia, Brad, etc, all scam artists. They had no idea what an Afro is, they had no idea what it was to have Black people around, and they kept changing my story to suit their idea of conflict! It was the true story of a year out of a six-year-old‘s life, and they tried to create conflict! Put straight lies in my book! I just finally ask them to complete the publishing so I can get my book away from them. This was the worst experience ever. RUN. Don’t walk.

I got scammed by this company so-called…

I got scammed by this company so-called marketing package for $4000 dollars along with the book inventory package of $2600. Brad and Isiah is the same person. However they did actually completed my book after a year. Then after paying for the marketing package, the entire communication ended. I’m in the process of filing a complaint with DOJ & FBI and filing a federal complaint under the contact info I currently have. They keep changing administrative ppl. DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY to this company!!!

Save your money

I recently choose to work with the sister company Talented Ghostwriter, I know that they are affiliated because a staff member confirmed it. From beginning to end the service was appalling, they only managed to deliver 7 chapters in almost three months. Kept promising me that the deadline would be met and just four days before delivery was meant to happen. Their COO Richard Brown canceled my project, he simply said we can't deliver this by the deadline so that's it. Then I was told because they were going to refund me it was fine. I was left scrambling to finish editing, proofreading, formatting my book with just three days to attempt to get it done. My advice to you is that you would be better off doing it alone than with this company. They promise you a whole team of experts and deliver you crap. Don't waste your time, I wish I hadn't found them. It has been some of the most stressful times ever experienced with a company. Trying to get things done is like banging your head against a brick wall. Every time I asked for updates or complained they just apologise and make more empty promises. I felt like I was going insane, and the staff are rude also. Waste your time!!!

Connie, Irma and Diesy

Connie, Irma and Diesy,
You may be able to get your money back, or some by filling a dispute with your credit card company, stating that was a fraud and scam. This company has no legal address. Contact the DOJ and the FBI. I was so hopeful that the marketing would work

I hired Brilliant Ghostwriters on 10/31/20 to edit my book and through the following several months, I purchased almost every marketing tool that they offered. Since then, my book has been published and is beautiful but I am very disappointed in the marketing and the communication. It's been almost a year and the communication has come to a halt. I have been unable to get answers to my questions and many of the things I was promised still haven't been done. As of today, I've spent over $25,000 with them and have sold a total of $160.00.
