Brandon Hire Station - Redruth Reviews 22

Unfortunately the hire of a roof ladder for 2 weeks for urgent work was a disaster. First the wrong ladder was delivered by Redruth depot, too short, not the 5.6 meter ladder I ordered.
I phoned the office and the gentleman promised the right ladder would be delivered next day and agreed to allow me 3 days extra hire because of the delay.
The right ladder came but that was Friday and weekend coming up so work didn’t start. Monday was very heavy rain and next 2 days storm.
On Thursday work was to begin but I received a nasty shock to see the ladder had disappeared from my front garden! I spent all morning searching around Penzance looking for a stolen roof ladder, raised a hue and cry and had neighbour’s looking too.
I was about to phone the police when a kind builder came and told me his colleague had seen a Brandon’s man walk down the road with the ladder!
It had been collected over a week early and had been unused.
I phoned Brandon’s again and asked for a full refund which they agreed to immediately and then bought a ladder because I didn’t feel I could trust to hiring.
The Brandon’s main office were very reasonable and obliging, the problems came from the supply at Redruth.

Great service. Hired a scaffold tower which was delivered on time. Very helpful delivery driver who collected promptly too.

I recently had an excellent experience with a gentleman named John at the Redruth Branch. He was invaluable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend John for your needs at Brandon Tool Hire. He is an excellent asset to the company!

Very helpful and straight forward especially on the phone, and extremely accommodating when difficulties occurred with collection times.

Absolutely amazing service both delivery and collection drivers were great,and the wood chipper was worth its weight in gold.
We brought a house with an over garden and couldn’t see the house and cleared the lot in just under a week great bit of kit would highly recommend

The help given in raising the order and the delivery and collection on time and a pleasant helpful delivery man. Hopefully we can book up for next year's event. Will be recommending Brandons to my friends.

What a great experience ! I called in to ask about removing a couple of tree stumps from my garden. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. I was shown what was available and given the details of the costs to hire the equipment. I made the booking and arranged to collect the machine myself as I have a good size trailer that would cope.
On the day before the booking I was called to check that I was coming and we agreed a time. When I turned up on the morning of the hire booking, I was welcomed and all the paperwork was sorted quickly and efficiently. I was the shown how to use the kit and the staff helped me load it. while I was strapping it in, another member of staff went by and asked if I was ok and if I needed any help. I was very impressed with the quality of service I was given. If only all businesses were so helpful.
I wouldn't hesitate to go there again if I need some equipment for a task I was undertaking and highly recommend them to anyone reading this review.

I can’t thank John enough for all the great support and advice given to ourselves when hiring machines. Also John and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Great local service and very helpful in providing an alternative product to what I hired online as the local branch didn't stock it.

I use this branch all the time often at short notice and they are amways helpful, and give good advise, items always available, can’t rate them high enough, and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I booked a cherry picker for a weekend hire a few weeks ago and had an email to confirm the booking - when I went to pick it up on Friday as arranged it had been hired out to someone else - the manager John Billing tried to make up for their error by phoning another hire company and I had to drive over to pick it up but it was shorter than the one I had ordered through Brandon's so when I got it home and tried it - it would not do the job, I took the trailer back to Brandons this morning and was shocked at his response!! when I told him that I couldn't use the other picker as it was 2 metres too low and it had left me £140 out of pocket - he told me to FxxK OFF - absolutely shocking customer service and I will be writing to their head office to seek recompense!! Don't Use Them!!

Right from the start the manager Johnathan made booking the toilet and barriers for our show so very easy. Once ordered the delivery was on time with a friendly and helpfuldelivery man. The toilet was immaculatly clean. The collection time was kept. All in all wew are happy customers who intend to book for our next event later in the month.

Manager was very helpful, friendly and great with Customers. Helped me with all my needs and requirements. Would definitely use them again for another job.

Still not received refund for unused items after a month. Unacceptable, would not use your company again.

Hired floor sanding machines for the weekend. Easy collection process, friendly, helpful staff, machines worked as they should, easy return. All in all great service and would use again.

Billing me for a hire which had already been paid for when the hire was ordered online, the Redruth branch raised another invoice, the accounts department cant resolve as the branch raised the invoice and the branch say its down to accounts!! :((
