Incorrect Billing Amount - Refunded Excess Amount via Customer Care Service
For several years, I have purchased from this website under its name My Canadian Pharmacy after a thorough search for a reliable pharmaceutical supply for my needs. It has always been satisfactory, and the generic product somewhat as well. However on 2 August 2023, I revisited the site and found the categories of products similar but the Customer Service procedures for a confirmed sale somewhat convoluted. A voice call with an Indian accent from a UK telephone number spoke in a clear but almost robotic and electronic manner to confirm my order. A SMS Text from UK was sent me and it reflected the amount to be deducted, but my bank statement reflected a higher amount by about USD24 which I sought explanation from Customer Care but received none. I also tried to call the US Helpline but failed.
It appears that the third party services used by the company billed me in UK Pounds. I write this as a warning to other users of this site that if you are purchasing from outside Canada or USA, you probably know that the products etc are from India even if the registered business claims to be in Florida and the site has a Canadian shopfront to circumvent legalities. That we understand. However, the business operators are not careful about your billing and this affects 'trust' too. I hope some action will be taken of my case 838114 reported to them and a refund made of the incorrect charge. Otherwise, this lesson in fraud should make me shy of their services and I hope other will be duly warned as well.
Update 11 August 2023: Received email from Customer Support Manager Luna with indication they will refund me USD43 via my PayPal account. Shortly after I received the refund via PayPal. I hope that the business will ensure that their UK Customer Support centre does not repeat the error with other customers.
