Buyer beware!

Buyer beware! I placed an order through Lane Bryant and it turned out they used BorderFree to fulfill my order. BorderFree is a scam site and Lane Bryant doesn’t care about me as a customer. They won’t even follow up my phone call with confirmation emails.I ordered seven items from Lane Bryant and only received four but my credit card was charged by BorderFree for the entire order. Despite multiple phone calls and emails BorderFree has not responded to my request for a refund.

Stay Away

I ordered from a reputable store in the USA. -I live in Germany. The confirmation of my order was from Borderfree. It has been 2 weeks. No one has answered my mail asking about shipment.
Either they’re frauds in New York, Israel. Or they have horrible customer service and ship 5 years after you order. Either way, I say stay away!

Very disappointing experience. Not a good first impression.

Not going so say they're a scam but it’s impossible to contact them regarding an order. Contacted the vendor who confirmed they had supplied the product and it is waiting in New York to be shipped. Was given delivery of 4-6 business days when ordering and it’s already been 4 days with no sign of it being shipped. I’m sure it’ll arrive at some point but by then it’s too late as it was for a gift. Don’t give delivery timescales if you can’t keep to them… very disappointed as it seemed like a seamless process and that it would be a decent way to get things shipped from US to UK. Also signed up to try and get in depth order tracking (they suggest this on the website) and no order is being shown. Will be avoiding from now on.

Extremely disappointing - poor product quality, poor delivery and poor service

The tracking page contained multiple examples of incorrect and misleading information (the screenshot have been provided to Borderfree on June 12, 2025)):

1. Only one out of two orders have been brought to my post box outside my home. Please note that it should have been delivered to me personally, not left outside without my permission. That`s what I paid $56.51 for, not for leaving a damaged torn box outside without proper insulation inside the box. This is not how designer shoes shall be delivered, especially if a more expensive kind of delivery is prepaid for. Please refund me my extra money ASAP.

Please note that the box in which the shoes arrived has been torn. The image have been provided to Borderfree on June 12, 2025. The sandals I`ve bought are by Badgley Mischka. Is there a reason why they arrived in a box with a label "Michael Kors"? Why does the inside packaging of the designer shoes not include protective inserts and a wrap paper as well as spare hill cover? The packaging looks like the shoes have been stolen from a fish market in Cairo, not bought in what pretends to be a prestigious designer shop. The images have been provided to Borderfree o June 12, 2025.

Please note that the condition in which the outer sole has arrived indicates that the sandals have been tried on before, probably multiple times.

Please note that what is called "Textile upper" is damaged (circled in green color on the image provided to Borderfree on June 12, 2025) or was not subjected to the quality control process. Since you`ve chosen to send to me a damaged product, please instruct me how to return it to you in order to receive a full refund including all shipping costs, taxes, transaction and currency conversion fees.

2. The actual delivery date of that one order has been June 12 and not June 9 as stated on your tracking page. This can be verified via your local "partner".

3. I`ve been deliberately mislead by Borderfree to believe that the delivery is done by DHL, but in reality the package has been thrown into the post box without my consent and without contacting me by their distribution "partner" "BarGroup". The quality of their "service" matches the quality of the packaging - as if the shoes have been stolen from a fish market in Cairo. The concept of personal delivery is foreign to them.

I`ve complained to Borderfree about this "experience" on June 12, but their reaction has been a devaluing, minimizing and invalidating. I still haven`t gotten the refund for the service I paid for, but did not receive

Regarding the "reply" from Borderfree: they reached out for "further contact information" - all the info they requested they already had when I placed my order, then again when I sent them my complaint by email on June 12, 2025, which as I stated before they pretty much ignored. Of course, I provided them AGAIN with what they formally asked, but I don`t believe they will do anything new about it

Hello,
It`s sad that Borderfree and Saks 5th Avenue chose to ignore my emails.

Please note that the current shipping fee for the same items is ILS 161.7. There`s no reason for you to charge me ILS 233 for the return shipment of those items. Nice try though. Please update the Return Authorization accordingly and send it to me. 
Also, please add a note based on my complaint to you from June 12, 2025, about inappropriate packaging and missing details of the packaging of the first pair I`ve received. I don`t want to be blamed for it because of your coice to neglect it and minimize its significance.

I remind you once again, for the fifth time, that you still haven't refunded me the difference between the shipment type I`ve paid for (DHL, personal delivery) and the one I`ve received (other company, the package has been left outside on the street without my permission). I reported this situation to you on June, 12, 2025, July 6 and in my feedback on the Trustpilot website, as well as more times by email, but I don`t have the dates with me right now. It looks like Borderfree and Saks 5th Avenue are still choosing to "forget" about it.

Regrettably, despite being notified multiple times, Bordefree and Saks have chosen to ignore my demand for refund of the difference between the type of delivery I paid for and the one (of a very low "quality") you`ve chosen to provide.

Moreover, despite being notified multiple times, they`ve chosen to charge me an inflated cost of ILS 233 for the return shipping, while on Saks website the cost of the same shipping for the same products is ILS 166.7. I demand an immediate refund of this difference as well.

BORDERFREE STOLE $234 by charging for an order that never shipped!

I Placed an order @ Lane Bryant May 2nd, 2025. Borderfree sent order confirmation. Said they would send tracking when order shipped. End of June I contact Lane Bryant. Said where is my order?? They tell me that the order was cancelled. But Borderfree CHARGED MY CC ON MAY 6th $234 + dollars!! Lane Bryant said they don’t charge your card until order ships! Tell that to my bank RBC, and my Visa Credit Card. Then Lane Bryant tells me that they contacted Borderfree and they said they refunded my money to PayPal. Next, Lane Bryant quit responding to me. I inform LB that There has been ZERO TRANSACTIONS IN MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT for the past 10years!! Borderfree WHERE IS MY MONEY??? It’s been over 2 MONTHS!!! Nobody responds to me from Borderfree!!! Such a TRASHY COMPANY! You haven’t heard the last of me, that’s a promise!

Great overall experience!

Great overall experience with BORDERFREE. My order took a couple days to actually ship but received my order very fast and it arrived before the delivery date. The boots arrived in perfect condition. Will definitely be ordering from them again.
