BEWARE of booking.com scammers den.

We were scammed by a booking.com partner and seems that booking.com does not care and/or assisting this scammers as it is impossible to get a hold of booking.com customer helpline.
The incident happened on 22.04.2024 and we were suppose to book a flight to US and my dad called a number of a booking.com partner and assisted him with all matters. As my dad is not familiar with doing the booking online and preferred the phone so he went with it (65+ age). At the end the money was taken from his account towards booking.com account (as it shows in the transaction clearly) we received a fake booking number from the scammer and said it will be activated in couple of days. As my dad believed him and waited a week or two for the activation which did not happen. After that tried to call them (but no answer or anything) so that's the time my dad realized that it was all a scam which is worth 921 Pounds.
I tried contacting support but there is no possibility as they require a booking number which we dont have. Which in a sense that scammers knows how hard to contact them that's why they are operating in this platform happily.
I hope BOOKING.COM can respond and is able to contact us to atleast see how this can be fixed.

With great regrets I write this short message to let everyone know about the sad/bad experience I had just on the 5th of may with booking.com and their listing.
I am very displeased with the kind of services where booking.com will charged our credit cards and cannot protect the interest of your customers,
booking.com allowed third party to come use their platform to scammed me of of over 860 euros,
booking.com does not have proper protections over the kind of people who do listing of strange properties under their platform,
booking.com doesn't investigate all reported cases/matters of bad properties listing under their platform and still allows other customers
to fall victims of scams under false cancellation agreements.
bookings made under booking.com and not getting what was booked at the time of booking at the said property is now the new level of scams growing under booking.com.

This is misconduct of power on customers under booking.com about cancellation even when you were not given the apartment booked leaving me on the street with no other means than to go pay cash in another property.
After all this stress and disappointment, booking.com now sent me compensation fee of 25 euros out of my 836 euros.

BOOKING.COM IS NO MORE A SAFE PLACE TO GET VALUE FOR MONEY

Don’t have much to say ; they were easy to use and easy to operate, I have used them several times specific when I am traveling in Europe and I had zero problems with them. It baffle me how the hell they only have 2 reviews in here , they are a great app and company.
