Obtained car insurance quotes via Bonkers and accepted a quote. Bonkers site attempted the transfer of my details to the insurance company (Zurich) which was unsuccessful (the Zurich system did not recognise the details). Called Zurich but was on hold for over 10 minutes with no answer. Attempted to call Bonkers but they don’t accept calls regarding car insurance. Was advised to try their web chat service but was then advised that the car insurance support team doesn’t provide support via the web chat service. An experience of extremely poor customer service from end to end. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Would definitely suggest to not use Bonkers for car insurance. Will go back and renew via my current insurance provider.

I spent 20 minutes filling in details for car insurance. It then reverts back with no quote from any of its 4 insurance partners.
Waste of time.

I change electric suppliers every year. You imput mprn number even with a smart meter? Iban and bic replaced for card number? Only to get to the end of a 20 stages and order buffers and will not process? All details correct! This used to be seamless, cop on!

Very poor custiner service also misleading. There is no info about when your new policy will start no option where you can choose when this should start. Thought i can do that later on. Then got an email fron them that it will go imidietly. But had 3 more days to my old contract and now old supplier want me to pay €100 fee for breakibg contract early. They advice me to cancell new contract to avoid such a payment bu then they told me i need to wait 20 days before ordering a new contract . None of this is disclose

I got the best deal on insurance for my (very old) car!

I have used bonkers regularly over the past decade. I have a few properties with mortgages and utilities. I find bonkers great and they have saved me a lot of money. You nearly have to switch every year to get the best deal.

The questions on my insurance research were miss leading and when I actually spoke to the insurance company my quote was much higher and I had to explain why I wasn't "lying" on my application.

Wrong questions leading to wrong quote...

what a rubbish site. after inputting all the normal car insurance data (which I don't mind doing), you're prompted to tick 1 box where you have to confirm about 20 different conditions that have to be met before you can proceed. e.g. the car is not imported, the car mileage does not exceed 50,000 km, etc, etc.

My car doesnt meet a number of these conditions, so i can't get a quote. bonkers indeed!

I've seen their add on YouTube about mortgages and think it's highly insulting to people who are maybe on their second time round whether its building or buying second hand houses i think it's a form of discrimination.

Bonkers T+C's not clear. I tried to switch early and before end of contract but they issue it immediately, meaning i and other customers could be subject to an early termination fee from original supplier. Then was told the only way to cancel is to contact the new supplier directly (Bonkers is a middle man for money only, no help). Very frustrating

Szimona was super helpful, found a workaround for an issue I had with the online form. Efficient and friendly. Would recommend.

I was sure Bonkers would assist with me finding a decent car insurance quote. I was shocked at the quotes it came up with! Bonkers is right!! They were ridiculously high! So I researched myself and got a really good quote that was not Bonkers!

Beautiful customer service, insane speed

We used bonkers.ie to change mortgage companies, we dealt with Paddy who was very helpful and efficient Would definitely recommend.

We went through Bonkers to obtain our Mortgage, and our consultant Paddy Callan was excellent throughout. Quick responses, very knowledgable and passionate about his role - we have now got our mortgage with a big thanks to him!

Absolutely useless, complete waste of time. Incredibly intrusive questions (data gathering) and then just a screen scrape from a few insurance companies.

Zero value add.

Bonkers.ie made the switching of electricity suppliers easy and straightforward. I am very thankful to a young lady called Simone who was amazing and so incredibly helpful.
I would certainly recommend them.
