First Experience

Good morning,
I am writing to share my recent experience rather than leaving a negative public review.
I made a reservation at Bonefish Grill for my son’s 16th birthday at 6:00 PM on April 9th. This would have been our first visit, and I had heard many great things about your restaurant.
Prior to our reservation, I received a call from a manager, Rocco, who informed me that the restaurant was experiencing plumbing issues and did not have water, so they needed to cancel our reservation. I completely understand that unexpected situations happen and appreciated the notification.
Fortunately, I was able to make last-minute arrangements elsewhere to celebrate my son’s birthday. However, when I later called back to confirm that the restaurant was still closed, I was surprised to learn that they had reopened. No one reached out to inform me that they were back in operation or to see if I still wished to come in.
When I asked the employee why I hadn’t been contacted, there was no clear response. I also inquired whether anything could be offered for the inconvenience, given the special occasion, and was simply told to “tell him happy birthday” before the call ended. I found this interaction to be dismissive and discourteous.
As someone who had high expectations based on what I’ve heard, this experience was disappointing. I wanted to bring this to your attention, so you are aware of how this situation was handled and the impression it left.
Thank you for your time.

Service

Meghan Thorrick truly made our dining experience exceptional! Her warm, friendly, and enthusiastic personality immediately made us feel welcome, and her service was absolutely on point from start to finish. Lunch was great, and it was especially impressive that management came over to check on us to make sure everything was perfect. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be dining here again very soon!

great company terrible food

bonefish you should be ashamed of yourselves. I visited this establishment on 3/29/26 for early dinner with two other ladies, had reservation for 3pm had a small wait so we stand at the bar and order cocktail. the bartender was a lil unfriendly complaining about her being the only one making drinks and waiting tables. we just want a drink and conversation amongst us ladies. then our table was ready and them damn chairs need to be throwing in the garbage, they were raggedy and worn, come on BF you are supposedly a high-end restaurant. the food was just ok. I had a salad and crab cakes and truffle fries with was old, but I did not want to send them back because it would be taking far too long to get another order. You have truly wanted down in quality. I will not be returning

Disappointing Compared to What It Used to Be

I used to really enjoy eating at Bonefish Grill. It was always a solid, dependable spot for a good meal, nice atmosphere, and consistent service. Unfortunately, that just doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Somewhere along the way, whether it was changes after being sold or the ripple effects of inflation during and after COVID, the overall experience has noticeably declined. The food quality doesn’t feel the same, portions seem smaller, and the value just isn’t there like it used to be. What was once a place you could confidently recommend now feels hit-or-miss at best.

It’s disappointing because this used to be one of those “safe choice” restaurants where you knew what you were getting. Now it feels like they’re relying more on the name than delivering the experience that built their reputation in the first place.

I really hope they can get back to what made them great, but for now, there are simply better options out there

Where did the food quality go?

We decided to go to Bonefish in the Villages (Florida) today. The wife was looking to enjoy your salmon.I wanted to try something different. Wife ordered the salmon with aspargus side and cole slaw. I asked about the quality of the fish taco. I ordered from the lunch menu and was told the portions were small and to try the dinner option. Results: Salmon was thin obviously from the tail, and very fatty on the down side. Aspargus was exactly like it came from the can, hardly al dente, more like mush. As for the fish taco, as I told my server, they were the worst I have ever tried. of the three, I ate just short of two. Thinking the first one was an outlier. No excuse for this, The question is where is the quality? We have been dinning rewards members for years .Looking forward to your response, but honestly don't know how you can cover this.

Ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi…

Ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi On Dec 20th 2025 in Marlton NJ.I was expecting real shrimp and scallops like 3-4 large shrimp and the same for scallops. What I received was a plate with about 20 mini shrimp the kind you get at shoprite for $4.99 a bag. Also received about 20 scallops which were under the size of a dime. You expect for a $28.95 dish you would get real shrimp and scallops, not leftovers from the Delaware river. On top of that it was so salty I couldn't enjoy it Let alone finish it. I would expect a restaurant called bonefish grill would specialize in seafood entrees. So disappointed, and then the bread--- the bread was great, but for dipping they used canola oil mixed with maybe a drop of olive oil, we asked for just olive oil and they said they don't have olive oil, they only carry the mixture with canola, what restaurant doesn't have olive oil. The waitress was not very friendly, pushed desserts while we were still eating, seemed she did not want to be there. This place is maybe in the same league as Olive Garden, at least they have Olive Oil. Also at the end of the meal they asked us to sign up for a points card to get discounts for future visits, f... your points, this place was the worst and never coming back again.....

Do not buy gift cards

Probably a waste of time because they do not seem to reply to reviews, good or bad. They advertise that their gift cards never expire and never have added fees. However, last week we were in their restaurant in Wilmington NC and they did not accept the gift card I had and was told it was expired. We buy their gift cards every year to give away, but no more. I wrote to them about this and … crickets!

Update, I received a call from Katie a “managing partner” weeksago. Said she was sending me somethin, and it never happened. I’m buying gift cards elsewhere this year.

This evening on my husband birthday we…

This evening on my husband birthday we went to Brooksville Fl Bonefish Restaurant and had a horrifying experience, out of bread only serve upon request, all our side dishes were rotten white/yellow broccoli, my husband ordered surf and turf the filet was a tail cut which is the junk part of the loin , and the lobster was over cooked like rubber, the female manager didn’t care at all she had cook redo the same end cut instead of preparing another center cut , the rest of our food was poor quality, and spoiled, my husband has been vomiting all night. Do Not Dine at that location. The female manager insulted our intelligence when we brought to her attention the spoiled broccoli she said that’s what al dente cook broccoli looks like . The whole dynamic of restaurant was poor . Needs new Management that knows what food is supposed to look like

Go somewhere else

Food was “OK” but not what we expected. It was a wine paring with 3 food courses and one dessert course. The first was quite good but was very spicy, and the second was OK but it came out at room temperature and the main course was overcooked salmon with a good topping. The service was terrible, long waits and it took more than a half hour to finally pay our bill. We will never go back to this restaurant again!

Went in it was a little busy lunch time. Only had one waiter so naturally service was slow not bad. I had the Cod Imperial worst fish I have ever eaten warning for customers don't order this. I expected fish to be flaky and delicious it was like chewing a tire not exaggerating had to cut with knife and still tasted horrible although topping was outstanding. Usually eat there once a month. Won't be back for quite a while.

Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens location:
The side house salad was next to inedible. I was able to pick out some pumpkin seeds and a couple pieces of greens, but the rest was wilted and/or rotten. Should definitely have sent it back!! Lilies chicken would have been much better with more spinach.
The rest of the food and the service was good.

Poor service and food

I probably won't return to Bonefish in Colo. Springs. We were greeted by the host team at the door with what I would describe as aloof distain as if asking to dine in their restaurant was an inconvenience for them. Even though I could easily see over a dozen empty tables we were told we needed to stand to one side for half an hour till we could be seated. I tried to get us something from the bas while we waited and finely gave up rather than jumping down the bartender's throat. Those tables were still open when we were finally escorted to our table. We were then greeted by a pleasant young man who was our waiter who quickly brought us two quite good Margaretta's. When the food arrived the Potatoes Au Gratin and the asparagus were notably undercooked. The asparagus I could overlook but I will draw the line with crunchy potatoes. We both had a fish entree and My wife's Salmon was fine, but the Cod I ordered was, let's say was less than fresh. As a former seafood restaurant general manager with over 30 years experience I know a bad cod when I smell one. Our last experience at this restaurant about 4-5 months was similar. My wife knew I was not happy so I put on a smile for her sake and ordered another Margaretta and crunched on my cheesy potatoes. Bad form all around for Bonefish on N. Nevada in Colorado Springs.

Amazing meal and waiter, Matt.

My husband and I went to bonefish in Cape Coral June 24th 2025. We had not been in since the new 4/1 menu. I am not a fan of the new menu and apparently, not many were, as its being revised again. Our meal, however, did not disappoint. Husband's steak was delicious - he could cut it with his fork it was so tender. My gluten free port chop was also amazing. Our waiter, Matt, made the experience amazing. We have had some good waiters but Matt went above and beyond, providing reassurance re: my food issues (many - other than gluten) and being attentive with out being intrusive. I do wish they still offered gluten free creme brulee as dessert option.
