There seems to be a lack of experience/knowledge at this auction house. I was advised that 5 rings that I took for valuation were worth in total about £94 pounds. I took just 2 of the rings elsewhere and they were valued at £915 together, which is what they sold for.

Great auction room, nice selection and good for parking... always a bonus point for me.

Good prices and helpful staff, Harry was great and made me feel very welcome. In and out in ten minutes on collection.

Stairs to rear a bit precipitous but it's an old buiding and should be expected. All great though, a nice auction house with some great bargains to be had.

After looking on their website to see opening times so I could view a lot I was interested in and seeing that they were open I drove down to look. They were closed. My enquiry as to why they advertise they are open was met by ... nothing. I haven't got time to go back. Two hours and fuel wasted. Not impressed.

Think Twice ! Recently cleared family home and submitted a number of boxes of Ceramic Plates, Royal Memorabilia etc. Tom advised it would be minimal value when I visited, however very disappointed in sale results "someone" got a lot of items for very little money.
Morning at a car boot would of been a far better experience, definitely lesson Learnt.

I used to come here often, But, after wasting my time i now go to a better local auction.

I would avoid buying from this auction house. Recently won a lot online via the saleroom. The photos carefully avoided all the damaged items. Even when I called up to specifically discuss the lot no damage was mentioned. Nothing was written in the description of the damage either. When I called up after receiving the damaged items the owner...wouldn't give me his name. Wouldn't offer a refund. And all he said was we will agree to disagree and hung up on me. Probably the least professional auction house I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Have totally conned me out of my money. Avoid having the similar fate as me. Far better auction houses who are far more professional are around!

I used to like Boldon auctions but today they tried to charge me a £1 fee just for bidding (which is stated nowhere on their site) and told me to go to Mail Boxes Etc for shipping when they state they will send small items ("small" being subjective but their subsequent definition does not equal their previous definition).
