Vaillant boiler installation
The Boiler Boys London recently installed a new Vaillant boiler at my flat. Advice was given on potential extra work that was unknown until a site visit was completed, and the quote was prompt and well laid out including options on the make of boiler. Martin and Fergal were both polite and tidy in their work with a quick turnaround.

We found Boiler Boys from our local Facebook page. After reading many positive reviews we decided to contact them. He came the same day when our boiler started leaking. New parts were fitted without fuss and at a reasonable price.

Had Feargal come out to perform a 30…
Had Feargal come out to perform a 30 minute boiler service despite the website stating it would take 1-2 hours . Claimed it was safe but required 2 new parts . Promised to quote . After a week and 5 requests from me he said he didn’t want to do it and find someone else . Very unprofessional service would not recommend using him .

On the rare occasions that we choose to decline someone’s request to quote for further work that is at our discretion.
A one week turnaround for a quote for non emergency work is a reasonable time frame.
Requests for urgent work are responded to within 24 hours. Often much sooner.
Tried to scam us!
Arrived at our house, claimed the boiler was unsafe, and turned off the heating. We were scared and cold - we have a small baby at home. After charging us >£100 (including VAT) for this "service" he sent us a quote for >£3000 for a new boiler.
Luckily we have emergency home insurance, and a professional came over and told us the boiler was absolutely fine, and turned it back on.

We have no record of your job being on our system.
With that being said we regularly come across boilers that have been “serviced” by others that are not safe.
Likelihood is that this other “engineer” is simply not experienced or trained enough to have found the same problem.
There is a common misconception that every plumber is out to scam their customers.
The reality is we receive more requests for work than we can actually manage.
DO NOT RECOMMEND
We found it very difficult to get in contact with The plumber after he came the first time. His work left a leak which flooded our landing and he would not return when asked. I do NOT recommend this company AT ALL.
Terrible customer service.

Unfortunately this is not the full account of what actually happened.
You said a minor leak was left after a boiler service. So minor you were happy to wait a week for us to return. We arranged a time convenient for you to come back and see what the issue was.
On the day of the appointment you contacted us to say you were on holiday.
We arranged another appointment for after your holiday.
During this time period you said the leak was worse and someone must come immediately.
We advised that it wasn’t possible to come right away and reminded you that you had cancelled the agreed appointment only the day before.
At this point you became disrespectful and we told you we were not willing to do any further work for you.
Within minutes of that communication this review had been left.

All round fantastic experience
All round fantastic experience. From having no consistent warm water and cold baths. In the same day Feargal was here, assessed the problem gave us a quote. Was at the house the next day putting a whole new boiler in to our complex system that has under floor heating attached etc. Nicest guy, so reliable, does what he says he will. Quick turnaround.
