What a horrible encounter with Bob Jane Preston. Customer service at the front desk was horrible and I could not wait to get out of there.
Was made to feel like I knew nothing and the older man consultant knew what I needed told me quite rudely he couldn't help me to Monday (which I never thought I was going to be helped same day) I would be waiting around 3 hrs and I needed to leave a deposit.
Left thinking surely I can find better drove down the road to a competitor to a completely different experience they were friendly extremely helpful they offered 5 tyres and not the cheap version I was told I needed as and amazingly they did it straight away.
Lesson to Bob Jane have your front house workers take a course on customer service there is no need to be rude to paying customers or made to feel they are bothering them.

On 9/11 our work vehicle was taken in for wheel rotation. On November 18th driving into Brisbane the rear passenger side wheel FELL OFF. The vehicle was towed to a Brisbane workshop and they have provided a written report saying the wheel nuts were not tightened.
The vehicle has had NO other work done by anybody else and the franchisee response we have CCTV that shows it was done properly. They must have regular issues to have a need for CCTV and his other comment "We also have a signed job card by the technician (legally binding document)" what company does this.

For the SAKE of your family and people in your car DO NOT USE THEM, as in this case luck no one was injured or killed. If it had happened on the M1 who knows.

Second time i've had a puncture in the past few years in Bendigo. Each time i've taken it to Bob Jane Bendigo and its been quickly repaired and put back on the car. And each time its been free! No wonder i always buy my tyres there, best prices, really great staff! Great customer service!!

I was sceptical about the promotion when I saw some reviews in other forums that they were not true. I tried my luck in BJ Gladesville, it really works for my orders of Pirelli PZ4. Got 40% off!
I did wheel alignments too. Unfortunately, it was not properly done and l realised my car was tilting to left after the service. Finally, I have to fix it at Tesla and we found out it was not aligned at 0 (off by 4 mins). I would suggest they need to perform more trainings to the staffs for wheel alignments for EVs. If the alignment work was good, I shall have given 5-star review for the overall perception of the services. The staffs I talked to are all nice and patience.

When I went back to collect the vehicle, I noticed they had put on a cheaper tyre than I was quoted on. They said they didn't have the proper tyres in stock and would have to bring the vehicle back tomorrow to get the right tyres put on. They also rung me the next day and told me that these tyres were dearer and I would have to pay an additional $152. Dropped it off the next day but after the new tyres were put on the steering wheel shock that much it was scary. The vehicle steering wheel was also not straight. They finally fixed it on the 3rd attempt. They also charged me $149 for the wheel alignment which I thought was expensive, so I called 2 other Bob Jane stores to get a quote and both stores quoted me $89. So really poor service and also feel ripped off.
The Team at Browns Plains are amazing! Highly recommend their services.

They’re apparently running a deal for 40% of Pirelli tyres. Problem is and I guarantee it after working in the tyre industry, their Australian distributor, Ceva logistics doesn’t have any stock and most likely never did.
The scam comes into play when you pay a deposit on their website - then the store calls you up the next day and says there’s “no stock” and if you need tyres you have to either pay full price for the other good brands. Which is a great way to leave a sour taste in someone’s mouth. I had to settle paying an extra $300 over the Pirelli deal for the same Continental tyres I already have on my car which aren’t as good compound and a whole category less in speed rating too. They also come from Ceva logistics.
I don’t think there’s any honest businesses left. Good luck everyone.

AVOID AT ALL COST… DO NOT USE THEM, THE OWNER & MANAGER ARE NOT HONEST. IF THEY CAN, THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU – BUYER BEWARE.
They basically Conned my 80year old elderly mother, who was clearly confused about all things tyres and didn’t understand what the staff were saying, so she called my brother and he clearly said to the manager, we DO NOT want to buy new tyres at this stage, simply swap her flat tyre with the spare, place the flat tyre back in the boot, and give mum a QUOTE and we’ll then chat further over the weekend… THE VERY MINUTE THEY GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MY BROTHER who gave them VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS, they exploited and took advantage of our elderly mum (an innocent little elderly lady who was with my disabled sister, so clearly thinking of her also)… the staff tricked her without providing informed consent they used coercion for their monetary benefit, charged her $79 to swap a flat tyre (which I now know should have been $15, and at the time Mum paid the $79 as she wasn’t sure what else to do) and then they said to Mum they’ll keep her punctured tyre and wheel until Mum decides what to do ??!! WTF they held her property and clearly intimidated by the ALL MALE STAFF hovering around she didn’t feel safe, so Mum left – it’s disgusting and horrible behaviour from what was a trusted national company towards our most vulnerable members of our elderly community. It’s a SCAM, its their business model and Bob Jane should be ashamed.
So the following day, unbeknown to me once I realised they had kept Mums wheel and tyre, I went there to collect it… not thinking too much of it. However once i introduced myself it was at this point, the manager had a long private huddle conversation in their office, so I suspected something was up. They then tried to tell me that Mum had actually purchased 2 new tyres and they were NOT returning the wheel & tyre, and expected me to honour that purchase... i said that's impossible, mum hasn't purchased any tyres as you ONLY provided her with a QUOTE, NOT AN INVOICE which would have clearly shown a deposit paid (clearly I had caught them out on their hustle and they didn’t like it)... clearly i stood my ground and raised my voice as they were now trying to hoodwink me too (like WTF??) and the owner said if I didn’t leave they would call the police. SO I THEN CALLED THE POLICE to their shock and horror… immediately The OWNER jumped out of his office and charged towards me straight into my face (clearly an attempt to intimidate me as he was taller and bigger), but I stood my ground and I wasn’t going to be bullied by them… they kept asking me to leave and I said I cannot until I get my mother’s wheel back. I WAS CLEAR my brother gave you CLEAR instructions, AT NO POINT did they discuss buying new tyres with my brother or Mum as she said, “I didn’t agree to any new tyres, they simply gave me a quote” NOT AN INVOICE… in the end the Owner conceded and returned the tyre & wheel and then he looked at me and in my face with an evil tone said “you’re not getting your money back” for the overcharge in swapping her flat tyre over… what a gentleman (NOT) a real true Aussie Business swindling elderly women… what has this world come too.
Our experience was horrifying, in the end the Police come, the Owner (& Manager) are operating their business like a racket scamming whoever seem ripe for the picking… sickening
There are much better tyre retailers around and I urge you all to look elsewhere as they do not deserve your business.
Booked my car in for a tire exchange after an unexpected mishap with one of my tires. The service I experienced dealing with Murray (store owner) was beyond reproach; exceptionally courteous, friendly and professional. The icing on the cake was the amazingly moderate cost.
Murray and his team at Bob Jane T-Marts are the BEST! Needless to say they have acquired a new customer!

Happy to say there has been a positive outcome for this less than good customer service from Bob's Janes Newcastle business.....big thankyou for follow up and investigation of complaint.
I ordered a set of wheels for my car and because the offset and the stud pattern weren't an easy match there were only two choices available. One stud pattern didn't match the offset and the wheel would be protruding, though slightly, from the body of the car. Of course I went with the second choice even though more expensive.
On the day wheels were to be fitted I double checked with the manager that the correct wheels had been ordered. I was assured they had been.
When I returned to pick my car up, guess what? The wrong wheels had been ordered and the wheels were protruding outside the body. I was assured it was street legal and I wouldn't receive a defect.
Feedback from mechanic and others in the industry said otherwise.
I went back to Bob Jane Tmart in Newcastle and it was recommended that I purchase flared wheel guards that could be attached to the car.
After much to and fro that included the wrong wheels arches being attached and removed, dozen of stud holes had been left in the wheel arches of my car. A panel beater who was recommended by the manager said he was happy to attach the flared wheel arches (which I had purchased from overseas) and I went back to Bob Jane to discuss what to do as I had an upcoming trip to Sydney and I needed to be roadworthy for the trip.
On arrival to Bob Jane Tmart Newcastle the manager was on leave and after a discussion with the assistant manager and explaining the situation I was told to get the work done and send the invoice to the manager. I was given a business card and I again checked, this was okay.
Job was completed by panel beater and invoice was sent to the manager, as requested.
Both the assistant manager and the manager have left the company and response from the new manager at Newcastle branch of Bob Jane Tmart is that because the invoice wasn't 'authorised' it will not be paid.
Bob Jane Tmart at Newcastle were negligent and culpable for the damage done to my car and if management did not complete due process and compliance, is not my nor the panel beaters responsibility.
I was sent an email to the feedback email address at Bob Jane requesting a review of the decision and so far no response..

Had an wheel alignment and balance done about a year ago the guy was cheeky at the start I should've stopped right there and took it to Somewhere else but I didn't after I took the car and drove it it was all over place it wasn't going straight and tyres seemed over pumped I rang them back the guy got angry on the phone and said I mentioned something about a little vibration but i wasnt sure I'm not a tyre mechanic car he said he'd check it out but didn't mention anything to me when I picked up the vehicle the car wasn't driving straight which wasn't like that before I handed my vehicle to bob jane tmart I asked what kpi they pumped it up to they said 35 when I had it at 32 I went to check the left front one was 36 right front 38 the two at the back were 35 so they lied I sent them a text but nothing was done I went for a service and report today my inner drive shaft boots torn and the sway bar links are broken and that can't occur just like that the reason why the car hasn't been driving running straight and it's started after I took my car to bob jane tmart in Cannington for a wheel alignment and wheel balance when I took the car back there after I complained he just balanced them in front of me and one was out so they didn't do their job they lied to me the guy was cheeky with me in the beginning got angry when I complained about the car being all over the place! and lied to about the kpi and they've done deliberate damage to car because I originally complained about my left side feeling a bit out that it that was my concern my tires shouldn't be over pumped and when I drive it shouldn't feel all over the place which occured after the wheel alignment and balance at bob jane I was disrespected in the beginning I was lied to as well and they most likely tampering with my car

I bought FIVE tyres from the Armadale store, but when I went to pick up my vehicle they had only fitted FOUR. After my complaint they supplied and fitted the fifth.
About ten days later, after hearing strange noises and inspecting the chassis etc. we finally found that the wheel nuts on the front passenger side were loose, and could be undone by hand. The Manager of the store appeared concerned about how serious this matter was, and informed me that they were experiencing difficulties from a turnover of staff (he was also new to the job). He sent an email off to his area Manager and the State Manager, but no-one has bothered to contact me. I suggest that you stay away from the Armadale, WA store because that is the only way to give companies like this a wake-up call.

Visited Castle Hill branch to have a nail removed from a tyre on two separate occasions. On the first visit, I was told they didn't have time, and they did not take bookings for tyre repairs. My wife visited the following week, and surprise surprise, they do take bookings and was able to get sorted. It appears Bob Jane Castle Hill change their policy based on who is asking, or they just like to waste everyone's time.
On my second visit, I was told I would have to leave the car with them for two hours, which wasn't an option as I had no other transport. Again, I requested to make a booking where I could attend when they did have time and have the job done with minimal fuss, but again I was told they don't take bookings for tyre repairs. Yes that's correct, they do not take bookings!
Went to JAX up the street and had sorted without issue. They also take bookings for tyre repairs, so my suggestion is to drive by the clowns at Bob Jayne and look for any alternative. Won't be back a third time.
