Bo-Rent Ypenburg - Really disappointing
I visited Bo Rent in Ypenburg for the first time yesterday to hire a wallpaper remover machine for 24 hours. The staff was really friendly and I was out of the shop with the machine within 20 minutes. Unfortunately, once I got home, the machine was not working properly. It was full with water and calc and I could not even get the descaling function to work. It was splashing hot water all over my floor instead of steam. I called the shop to inform them about it but the shop was already closed that day for me to take it back so I returned the machine this morning. The staff was different and when I explained the problem, I was told the machines are brand new and were used only 3 or 4 times. I insisted that the machine was not usable and told him to open it and check for himself. He then asked if I wanted another machine, which I agreed but I wanted to verify its condition first before taking it home and wasting my time again. It was exactly the same problem. The last user didn't clean it or empty it and the bottom part of the engine was full with calc, again... I therefore declined the offer of another machine and got a full refund back. I did not get a single apology and felt like it was my fault, especially after being repeated 4 times that the machines were brand new.
When I hire a machine, I expect it to work without me having to do the maintenance of it. The machines are not checked before being given and that results in a lot of wasted time and frustration.
An apology as well as another solution (like testing the product onsite and fixing it) would have kept me as a customer. But following this incident, I will never return to Bo-Rent and will not recommend it to anyone.
Misleading booking system and unprofessional behavior of the Den Bosch branch staff
We booked (or at least clearly understood that we had booked) a vehicle through Bo-rent’s website for our move from Den Bosch to Tilburg. During the booking process, the website clearly showed which vehicles were unavailable at the Den Bosch branch and prevented us from selecting those options. Based on this information, we completed what appeared to be a confirmed reservation and planned our move accordingly.
Just a few days before the rental date, the Den Bosch branch informed us that our reservation had been cancelled due to a lack of available vehicles. When we called the branch for clarification, the staff member stated that they do not provide definitive information about vehicle availability and that a reservation is not valid unless it is separately confirmed by Bo-rent. This is highly unusual for a car rental service, especially since there was no indication of this during the booking process.
When we asked for specific reasons, the staff member was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, and even reacted mockingly when we said we would report the issue.
This situation is completely unacceptable, as all our plans were made based on a booking through their own website and we were informed of the cancellation almost at the last minute. We do not recommend relying on Bo-rent for moving, as it can leave you without a solution at a critical moment.

Everyone knows that, for a 6 meters scaffolding, you normally need 3 plateau, one each 2 meters (no matter how deep it is).
As a result we had to make request of another plateau and they charged extra money for it and for its delivery.
I had already rented a scaffolding from them, and it was exactly the same kind of order, since the scaffolding was needed for the same house. In the past they always delivered 3 plateau....

This is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. You cannot even reach out a customer service. They are scammers - and steal your money!
* They charged me full weekend because I was two hours late
* They lied about my arrival time. I have proofs that I left the car earlier - but you cannot reach out to a proper customer service.
* I parked the car neatly - and the guys (Bobbie) was saying that I didnt park very well - which is again a lie!
So if you read here, I would advise to check other firms such as DIKS or other verhuur companies.
Shame on you Bo-rent! Never again!
Unreliable stock, cancelling reservations, not solution-orientated
I reserved a wood chipper from the Amsterdam, Den Brielstraat branch. They cancelled the order saying they didn't have one in stock and couldn't get one in time. I called to enquire. They said the nearest wood chipper was at a branch one hour away. I asked when they would be able to pick that up and they answered never.
Unreliable, wasted a lot of my time and unwilling to put in any effort to help.

Predatory practices meant to charge you…
Predatory practices meant to charge you more money and cheat you. They wait until its within 24 hours to send you confirmation of your order. After not receiving confirmation of my order I decided to hire with a company that send confirmation, and guess what? 24 before my reservation BO rent sends me confirmation.... i cancel BO rent and they charge me FULL PRICE. This is predatory behavior. I will NEVER EVER USE BO Rent.
Update : after my furious email to BO Rent, they cited technical glitch as a reason for invoice and stated that invoice should be ignored,in writing.

Bad reservation service. Car reservation on the website does not guarantee it's availability. My reservation was cancelled the next day without any alternative available.

Thieves and Opportunists
Thieves and Opportunists. I rented a car for one day, the car was to return at 16h45 the next day (so a 24 hour cycle). The car the next was without battery, I called them, they basically ignored me, said it was my fault and I should push the car, no assistance at all, having asked help for people in the stree to push (I have 2 witnesses), then I got there at 16h50, (I have my Google maps history to prove this). They just took my keys, and then they charged me double. Then I receive a ticket for bad parking, when it was parked due to pushing the car to the curbside, they send me the ticket and demanded me 25€ in administration costs. I made a formal complaint to the Townhall and now waiting for feedback. Avoid at all cost.
