Hands down one of the most influential aspects of the program is your individually assigned CSM who really assists you with every step of the process. Our CSM, Nick has been pivotal to our success— offering so many insights and steering us away from opportunities that wouldn’t truly serve our goals. He’s a seasoned expert whose opinion and guidance has been instrumental to getting started and continuing to manage our STR. He’s helped us navigate everything from partnership opportunities, learn how to use tools like AirDNA to conduct accurate market research, use Hospitable, Airbnb, Pricelabs, identify properties, and just about assist with any STR-related question. He’s always accessible to answer last minute questions or concerns that crop up and he’s been a solid support system through the process. This is a well-managed program that wants its customers to succeed.

We enrolled in BNB Investor Academy after an initial sales conversation in which we understood we were purchasing a personalized mentorship experience. From that conversation, we believed the value of the program would come from direct guidance and hands-on support that could realistically work alongside a full-time job.

What we thought we were buying felt more like an Instacart experience; a streamlined service, with a personalized mentorship guiding us step by step in a practical way. Instead, what was experienced felt more like Costco, closer to being given access to a large warehouse of information and systems that required self-navigation and time availability during specific business hours. For us, that was overwhelming and definitely not what we were looking for when we enrolled.

We expressed early on the format did not feel like a good fit for us. Rather than the core mismatch being addressed, we were passed on to another person. We did participate and engaged where we could, including logging into the online platform, because it was required as part of the process. However, the ongoing direction was to engage more deeply in group-based calls we were not available for and online materials, which was the very structure we had been clear did not work for us.

The issue was never that we refused to engage. The issue was that the format we were being directed into did not match what we believed we had purchased.

The cost of the program was $12,000. Based on the level of personalized mentorship we understood we were enrolling in, the experience we received did not feel aligned with that level of investment. This was a significant financial decision for us, and one we made consciously. Our engagement consisted of a limited number of calls, access to information-heavy resources, group calls held during hours that did not work with our schedule, and connections that never fully aligned.

In one lender interaction, we were left with the impression that there was confusion about why we were reaching out at all, which reinforced our sense there was a disconnect between what was represented during enrollment and how support was actually delivered.

For transparency, my husband initially attempted to raise our concerns by email, but we later realized the message had been sent to an incorrect address I had found. Once we became aware of that, I took responsibility for the mistake and followed up promptly through the correct channel. During that time, we paused feedback while we believed the matter was under review and responded promptly to requests, hoping for a fair resolution.

We were initially offered a copy of the sales call recording for our records so we could understand where and how the program was presented. That later shifted to a requirement that we review it live on another call with a representative, which we declined, as we did not feel additional live calls would be a productive use of time once it was clear there was no path toward resolution. After extended back-and-forth via text, email, and a video call, we were ultimately informed there was no openness to a refund or partial resolution, despite our efforts to engage responsibly during a period of personal loss and family obligations.

To be clear, we were not asking for a full refund. We expressed openness to a reasonable, partial resolution that accounted for the time and support that had been provided. That option was not entertained.

This experience required a significant investment of both time and money, without meaningful progress toward our stated goal and without resolution after concerns were raised early.

We are sharing this so prospective clients can ask very specific questions before enrolling and clearly understand what “mentorship” means in practice within this program, if mentioned.

Additional context for clarity: After enrollment, once it became clear the program structure and delivery were not aligned with what we understood we were purchasing, we made a conscious decision not to continue engaging deeply with the curriculum or group-based components. This was not a refusal to participate, but an intentional choice based on fit and interest once the format was fully understood. Characterization of our experience as a failure to engage overlooks this distinction. Disengagement was the result of realizing the program was absolutely not what we were seeking, in NO WAY a lack of willingness to participate. We believe this distinction is very important for prospective clients to understand when evaluating whether this program is an appropriate fit for their needs, learning style, etc.

There are a ton of resources when you join BNB Investor Academy. There’s probably more information and support I have yet to discover. For me, the most valuable part has been the relationship with my Client Success Manager, Marsh McClure. He helped me take the information I was learning and putting it into action. This was my first experience buying and setting up a short term rental. There was a lot of stress and fear walking into the unknown, but Marsh was with me every step of the way.
Within two months of joining the Academy we had a contract on our first house. We closed and got our design back toward the end of November and then worked with blazing speed and efficiency to get our first bookings before the end of the year. I couldn’t have done it without the information and support of BNB Investor Academy and Marsh McClure.
