We sold our house in just 7 days!

We have just recently sold our house with Blundells! We personally dealt with Dawn Leaman & Scott Jenkins, they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They were professional throughout and made a thorough review of our property when we first booked our appointment with them. Their knowledge and information has been helpful throughout and remained professional everytime we spoke with them. We sold our house in just 7 days and opted for their solicitors package as it was an offer we couldn't refuse, we had drone shots and the most professional photos done of the property which was absolutely fantastic. We would highly recommend and would definitely use them again!

LIAM MURPHY BIGLEY FRAUDSTER and BIAS, they don't check tenants affordability!!!!

LIAM MURPHY BIGLEY - FRAUDSTER and BIAS. Do no business with Blunders as they will simply steal your money and ignore any complaints. We wanted our property to go on the market for a certain rent amount Liam completely ignored our request and did what he wanted!!! He was beyond RUDE, AND ARROGANT. Even I called to share that we were not happy is slammed the phone down on me and he's a Manager! When we asked for information about the tenants they did not provide the information on what they did for a living, we requested this over and over and then they moved the tenants in BEFORE we even fully agreed!!! Then to find the tenants couldn't even pay their rent after they moved in!!!!! RUN from this company they are Fraudsters and really just want your money. Shocking.

A bunch of time wasters

A bunch of time wasters. I used the branch from Chapel town. I went for mortgage advice with their mortgage advisor Joe. They were the ones to offer their services to us not the other way around. So we went thinking we need to see a mortgage advisor soon anyway and we could look for deals starting with them.
It has been well over 2 weeks and I still did not receive any of the meeting highlights on my email as requested and promised that I will. I called back to verify if everything is OK and by the looks of it my email address was alright but still no email was sent over to me or any other form of communication in between us and them happened. A total waste of time.

Nightmare on Bradbury Hall / Elm Street / Landlord = Freddy Krueger…

My experience with this property has been far from professional and has made it clear that the management is only interested in their own benefit. Expect significant delays when addressing any queries; you’ll find yourself constantly following up. Inquiries about your finances are routinely overlooked, leading to a frustrating cycle of chasing for answers. If you’re thinking about renting at Bradbury Hall, be aware that the landlord is unresponsive and overly focused on profit. The rent in
creases are not consistent with market values, and the cleanliness of the communal areas is unacceptable (disgusting). Overall, I cannot recommend this property. Sorry, lads Chesterfield F.C. (players)

Blundells Lettings Banner Cross Sheffield

Blundells Lettings, Banner Cross, Ecclesall Road and Countrywide
They let out property knowingly unfit for purpose but deny doing so, even to my M.P.
This is repeat behaviour and the renters union Acorn have challenged them previously for property with unacceptable damp.
Their own approved contractors have surveyed the property to verify the damp problems and that the kitchen needs replacing.

Sheffield City Council Environmental Health have issued an Improvement Notice.
When the property was re-roofed Building Regs were not applied for, there are no vents in the roof, the insulation was not replaced, the guttering and soffits were not replaced - leaving a huge hole for vermin to enter and I have now had rats and squirrels in the loft.
They have removed my possessions, harassed and tried to intimidate me. They have made false allegations against me.

It is a site for the elderly and they abuse their position with me and other residents, one living with water coming through the TV aerial and requiring buckets to catch the water.
They are using Section 21 Notice, by way of retalitory eviction in an attempt to get me out, as they work in cohoots with the landlord, who happens to be a charitable trust run by two Trustees. Trustee who is a partner in a legal firm.
Their complaints department within Countrywide, as Blundells is one of their firms, is a joke. Check out the Trust pilot review for Countrywide, it is even worse than for Blundells.
If you are someone looking to rent, or a landlord wanting a tenant, keep a wide birth from these dishonest unscrupulous incompetent low life.

The worst property managers I ever seen

We got this property in Sheffield and paid every month without fail. We suddenly started to have mould infestation. No matter how much we heat up the house, it gets soooo cold. We informed them and even sent pictures. They promised to come check and sort it out. Several fort and back mails with no action. First, they sent a contractor who accessed the issue and gave them quote but they never used his quote not communicated to us. I contacted the contractor who said he no longer works for them. Reached back to them and they sent another person who confirmed to me that it was non of my activity that caused it, gave them suggestions and quote. Part of the suggestion was to get a window vacuum to reduce the effect of the mould and to also get a dehumidifier. After several calls and months they got us the humidifier and never did the window vacuum. The dehumidifier mops up over 5 litres of water daily even with our constant heating that looked like a futile effort.
Fast forward to when we were leaving the house in March 2023, we informed them and we cleaned up the house, dropped their keys and requested for an inspection while still in the country. They purposely refused and said they were going to do so after we leave. Do you know that they did it almost 30days later and the house became so infested with mould and they counted it against us. The last contractor that gave a quote stated in his report that the mould growth will triple when the house was left just for 24hrs without heating. Yet they left it for almost 30days before inspection and noted it as our infraction. We made application for our deposit refund, but they never did and threw about 25% back at us because we were no longer in the country even with the several proofs we provided in our several mail conversations.

They are out to just make life miserable for any tenant. They are only friendly when collecting your money for payments, after then they’re your worst enemy.

Extremely heartless

Extremely heartless, no empathy.

Was renting a room at a property on Crofton Avenue, everything was fine until a woman twice my age moved in who ended up being the most awful person i’ve known. Harassment and bullying, kidnapping a neighbours cat daily and holding it in her basement bedroom, the list goes on. Blundells was made aware of all this with evidence (text messages, screenshots) and have done nothing.

Also stating fire alarm installation is the tenants responsibility (it isn’t) threatening everyone with retaliatory eviction because the landlord is “concerned with the repairs” well tough, it’s your responsibility to fix things the landlord is responsible for! Doing room checks excessively in a short period, very rude letters. I rang them in tears and was met with coldness, causing me to have panic attacks because of how they treated me and how my roomate treated me, all because she would not leave me alone.

I will be glad to get out and far away from here. They will be your friend at first but when things turn sour they turn revolting.

The room is back on the market and I would avoid it at all costs. The woman living there is not worth your mental health and the lack of Blundells support makes it worse. Another roomate is miserable and leaving the property this summer too.

0/5.

It's just gets harder and harder and…

It's just gets harder and harder and harder.

Minimum rent period of 12 months. The conversation went like this;-
Oh why is that then and not 6 months.
Well, it stops people flitting around willy nilly and because of the set up fee.
Oh so that's your policy not the landlords?
Yes, it's because of the set up fee.
Oh so, isn't that your fault then for charging such hi fees that it's only a 12 month contract so the landlort doesnt have to pay again?
Well we are a business.

People need to stop chasing the profits over customer service.

Me and my partner got accepted for rent…

Me and my partner got accepted for rent on a house along side my sister, we arranged to pick up the keys and was told everything had been verified. The day before we get a call saying the landlord won’t accept my sister living there, my sister handed in her notice for her current address, we cancelled a holiday abroad to move in. We had bought furniture and arranged removals, to find out the day before they had changed their minds. They then listed the property again afterwards and increased the rent payment. They wasn’t apologetic at all, completely messed us around, and then tried to refuse a refund on our deposit. Absolute disgrace of a company I wouldn’t even give 1 star, inconsiderate as they come. Don’t use this letting agency!!!!

Blundells Bawtry Road Wickersley Appalling customer service and lack of care!!

Blundells Wickersley, I don’t even know where to start.

Do not rent a home off Blundells Wickersley
After allowing my daughter to move in, taking the bond and a months rent we discovered that the kitchen was an absolute disgrace, the inside and outside off all kitchen units made my skin crawl.
Bags upon bags of rubbish left in the garden outhouse.
Rising damp, terrible mould.
The hob in such a bad state it won’t work
The fridge absolutely disgusting.
And not prepared to sort this, I’m appalled by their lack of compassion and customer service.
Disgusting service knowing that my daughter has an already compromised immune system, and she cannot now cook, use the fridge/cupboards and indeed even enter the kitchen.
Bad move Blundells 😡

Blundells of Chesterfeld was our estate agent we got…

I used Blundells of Chesterfeld we got an offer on our house and within a few weeks the prospectus buyers had removed all the pagoda and plants from the rear of my garden trespassing I was informed of this from a neighbour as I had moved out of the area and trusted this agent to protect my house whilst they had possession of. It and whilst they were selling it! I rang Blundells who were shocked but said do not do anything about this it may put them off buying ( if I was to go into someone’s property and do that surely I would be arrested I was told it was their enthusiasm I was not happy but went Along with their advice. Then scaffolding was placed up at the property before permission was given and i was informed it was not up to safety regs I rang this building company who were working for the prospective purchasers and I was informed he had been told to put it up now early as it was needed and they were in a hurry ( I was informed that as I was still the owner of the property if anyone climbed up and had an accident I could be sued for millions of pounds! I rang Blundells they didn’t have a clue this was going on. A month later I got photos of my bathroom chucked on the front garden and so I telephoned Blundells and informed them asking them who had the keys they said they did but they would check it transpired they had given the keys out to a surveyor/ builder and had forgotten to ring and get them back meanwhile my house continued to be gutted the survey came back so my solicitor gave permission for the keys to be given (so work could be done on the property as a special case to assist with the mortgage company) but the keys (which should have be released for someone to gain access to do a small quick job ) were again left with the building company who on instruction from the prospective purchases whom he thought were the owners ( and were not as yet) took instruction to re plaster the inside. I sent my brothers around who walked inside the house and observed the full carnage and asked the builders what instruction, authority and timescale they had been given I telephoned Blundells to action the return of the keys they said leave them to it or you may find if they pull out you will be left with all this and it will the sale will happen as they have commited time and money already. We were now placed in a impossible position take a massive chance and maybe face substantial losses or get the house sold who knew which would happen certainly Blundells didn’t care or have a clue we had to gamble on this now my solicitor said we could take these people to court I was so stressed it was unimaginable and frankly unbelievable that an estate agent in this day and age would let this happen and fail it’s customer so badly all this happened before we even exchanged contracts never mind about completion! they gave the prospective purchasers my house keys who in terms allowed Tresspassing on so many different times. I have spoken to many people who cannot believe what had happened but thankfully my neighbours took photos of everything and most people who were seen so I have evidence to prove this

Blundell Wont sell you House

If you are selling your house with Blundells - then good luck. I had an appointment booked to view a property for SALE. I came on time. No sign of Blundell's agent. tried to get hold of Blundells for 15 minutes on phone, no answer. Finally got hold to speak with an agent and she said, they have cancelled my appointment. Why. don't know. Of course, they did not bother telling me about it anyway. When booking an appointment they did not offer me a weakened, so being a person in a 9 to 5 job I had to fit this appointment into my work time. I had to drive for 30 minutes to get to the property. So this is how Blundell works. Avoid. I am never going to BUY from Blundells. read other peoples comments too if you are selling or buying from Blundells

Poor and incompetent property managers

We used their property management and tenancy service. They were extremely unprofessional and kept us bouncing between various people. They will only get in touch when it is financially incentivised directly for them. They delayed our claim which resulted in it being rejected, and are very rarely transparent. The also told us very late about our deposit claim and only via phone after months of chasing. Avoid at all costs.

Worst experience that still not over

If I could give a - 1 I would.
My seller is using this s**house of a company and just like Blundells they are managed by the CHUCKLE BROTHERS.
Blundells have aimed for w/c 18th for moving I find out Wednesday by talking to my own solicitor that my seller has no Mortgage offer in place for onward purchase.
Were discussing completion and move dates and there is no mortgage in place this is a joke.
Sellers solicitor and Blundells should be aware of this as there owned by the same company.I am still waiting since Wedensday for Blundells to come back to me from emails and left message.(Dawn area manger who clearly in wrong job)I have had to go around to seller to get to bottom of what the hells going on.
Where is the call to say there's an issue and theost upsetting and frustrating thing is this is our first time buying a home and it should be exciting and merobale but it's the worst experience I have ever been through from lack of customer service to the rude staff to lack of infomation coming from Blundells it always myself chasing and why should you have to get to the point of exploding to get anywhere.
I'm confident that no-one will give a dam about this review from the company or even get a reply.
I have also tired to call the complaints line as Im getting nowhere fast and yes you guess it no awnser tjist a voicemail and yes you guessed again no response since Thursday this week from voicemails left.
But I'll let them off as if my experience is anything to go by they will have tons to work thorough.
Thankyou for making this experience such great.

Please please please AVOID THIS COMPANY AND BLUNDELLS AT ALL COST.
