Dear Misha, We see you're a UK patient. We called you last Thursday to reschedule your appointment with our provider since he was on leave this week, but the call was routed to your voicemail. We sent a follow-up email; however, you mentioned not receiving the email. Furthermore, a system-generated email reminder was sent to you yesterday which may have caused some confusion. We offered to rebook your free appointment for next week and apologized for the inconvenience, but you declined the offer to reschedule. We wish you the best and hope you're sleep better. Sincerely, The BlueSleep Team

Feels like a scam

This is a couple legal forms away from just being a scam. In my visit I explained that I had already done a sleep test, and don't have sleep apnea, I needed treatment for other insomnia type.
They insisted on the sleep test, which I was charged $200 for. Unsurprisingly, the test came back negative, after which they said I could still get some treatment for sleep apnea, which I don't have. They suggested all providers they probably have a commercial agreement with.
When I said I just wanted to be treated for insomnia, the doctor said that's not what they do, and hung up on me.

Dear John, We're delighted you don't have Sleep Apnea. Studies found that 29% of older adults with insomnia had polysomnography-diagnosed sleep apnea. Our Board Certified providers likely recommended a Home Sleep Test for good reasons (out-of-date test; your medical history; medical discovery after your initial appointment). Our providers have commercial agreements with most insurers. If a patient has not met their deductible, he/she/they must pay the patient responsibility according to our agreement with the insurers. BlueSleep Sleep Clinic providers are trained in insomnia; however, if you require long-term insomnia treatment, we often recommend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a first-line treatment for chronic insomnia Insomnia and Obstructive Sleep Apnea - PMC +3. This is a multicomponent cognitive behavioral therapy that is the only insomnia treatment with a strong recommendation in AASM guidelines. Our clinical partner, Moona Health can help you with treatment, if necessary. If you have any questions, please contact help@bluesleep.com. Sleep Well, The BlueSleep Team
